Is that what caused PRMTX to drop 20% in one day? It hasn’t bounced back…
You can invest in PRMTX with Fidelity with a minimum of $2.5k investment. I prefer Fidelity over everything else. No issues.
If you see a higher ER fund over time beating what the cheaper equivalents are doing, you're right - for that time *in the past*, it didn't matter. Fees, like the compounding we love in the other direction, do their worst over time. I have been in PRMTX for decades. Kind of stopped looking at the TRP accounts as closely as the rest. Regrettable. Comparing that to VGT, I see over the last five years, with dividends reinvested, VGT beats PRMTX by more than double. Well, damn. Now I'm not saying all of that is the lower fee. But *dayum!*
About 1/3 of nw is in equities, split evenly in taxed and not. The rest in equities, two thirds of that in indices, 1/3 in two mutual funds (THISX and PRMTX). All that is also split half/half taxed.

PRMTX - Fund situation Hello all, this is a fund that I am not sure how I could read. I invested some in late 2020, at which time the fund was about $180 per share. Obviously, it took a hit subsequently in 2022. However, I can not understand how it is only $ 130 per share now when the market is at a record breaking high. The companies in the portfolio have made good gains, but why is this fund lagging? (Comparatively, a total stock fund like SWTSX faired better). I know it could go down to not understanding something about this fund PRMTX. I am hoping that long term, it might recover, but I can not understand the current status. Could someone explain why so I could educate myself better? Thanks
Yeah I saw my PRMTX down 17.5% one day recently and it took me forever to remember the distribution lol
I continue to buy dividend income ETFs and dividend mutual funds, sale prices that will pay off over time, and the income means I can ride out the bear market. I buy NYMT, BXMT, SDIV, YYY, KBWD, TWO, SRET. For mutual funds that pay out in mid December I buy PRHSX, PRMTX, PRSCX which are at a huge discount now and which generally pay out a good amount come mid December. This is a buying opportunity for long term, sale prices, and I know share prices likely will decline and I will lose money on paper, temporarily, but a year or two from now I will be glad I bought shares at such a discount.
If your are lazy, SPY, QQQ or PRMTX are just set it and forget it
