Not trolling. Most soil doesn’t require sulfur addition unless it has a pH or salinity problem (Ca Sulfate), because sulfur is common in soil. That’s why S is considered a secondary nutrient even though plants require quite a bit. Same with Ca and Mg. Yes, if you’re doing hydro, you need like 50ppm of sulfur or something like that, depending on N and TDS. It is beneficial in soilless mixes, also, and consumer non-lawn fertilizers like Miracle Grow often contain some, at least in the form of small amounts of copper sulfate and iron sulphate. Sometimes Mg sulphate. Most fertilizer input in farming is focused on N, P, and K, and Ca for pH correction.
