Don't worry, I was there too. Asts should have given me the biggest profits out of all my stocks, since I first invested when it was like $3. But, I got greedy, and bought 6m TE calls, which expired after the 24' elections. If they lasted a little longer, I would have made out in profit. Instead, I lost it big. As is usually the case, buying stock and holding is the best thing to do.

Preseason football is completely worthless now. Not like it was great in the past either, but I remember back about 15 years or so ago, there was always 4 preseason games, and many legitimate starters would play for 2 or 3 series at the very beginning of the 3rd game. Now, only starters from the offensive line plays. Maybe a 3rd string TE might play.

That is true, but also kind of the point, if TE is 34% down from my cost basis by Jan 2028 I haven’t lost any money and it’s a successful hedge, if it’s above my cost basis but not at $15+ I make the unrealized gain on shares + keep the premium on expiry. I am not looking to play vol, just simply hedge my share position because I do see some downside possible in the near term. Just to be clear the shares are a long term position with a target valuation of $15. So I am thinking the largest risk in this is the upside cap
Took a quick look at TE's option chain, Jan 2027 $15c is trading at 1.00 if you sell CC on that (and expires) you can sell Jan 2028, probably for another $1, or possibly more, that would exceed $1.83 Quick math shows 14 month between now and Jan 2028 1.83/14 = 0.1307 09/18/2026 $7c is 0.25 $8c is 0.15 (If the stonk creeps up, then sell Oct at $9 or $10 etc) Do that 14x will get you more $$

OOF.... you are basically betting on a sentiment reversal heading into earnings season. for the last 6 weeks liquidity has been exiting and repricing the AI trade - across hyperscalers (who have caught a bid the last 2 weeks), semiconducters, photonics, datacenter tickers, heck even energy darlings like BE and TE. It's possible, but the R:R looks very sketchy to me. long term NOK looks very interesting. Short term, I'm not touching the AI trade (except maybe to short it) until I see hard evidence of a momentum shift. best of luck
