I feel that last part, that dips are over-reactions for sure, you just have to find the quality ones. I’ve had a lot of success buying nasty dips recently; it’s wild when your brain switches. As a whole though, I think we could see something like that for the market as a whole soon, even if it’s a flash dip. I was looking at $VTV’s chart & every once & a while there’s an incredibly large red wick almost down to the last peak. That’s when I’d be looking to load the boat, maybe $190. That’s wild that you said $TOYO! I had a CSP for them but it never got assigned below $5; now it’s below $5 again so could be a solid value. I’ve always wanted to be in $BABA & $MELI as well. I feel like running options on $MELI would be solid, you just need a ton of cash as collateral. I’m also trying to solidify my move abroad after dancing around it for a while (as the Colombian peso absolutely skyrockets against the dollar 😢) so I want to be very careful with my capital from here on out.
I am eyeing BABA to add more...its a great stock on a dip because they are spending money on AI...you have to spend money to make money....look at the 52 week low/high...this is also a great long term buy. Also eyeing TLX. Great stock and recent earnings, just waiting for a little more dip. Others TOYO and UCL (riskier) to name a few. I find in the majority of cases, stocks that dip alot are typically an overreaction and a good chance for a reversal play.
Wtf is going on with TOYO?

Shouldnt TOYO benefit for their US-side plants?
I'm YOLO,ed in TOYO Solar right now but I hope it is making 52 wk low currently. This is an investment in solar cells made in the USA. I shorted 60% of my shares after the fed meeting. They are currently being audited for Foreign Entity of Concern matters and dropped sharply after rasing 50 million in cash at a valuation of $11 a share. There are now warrants at $13.20 but that is a long ways away. So definitely some headwinds but the long term thesis still holds up so there is some hope for the future. Trading are $4.70 current with EPS $0.75 for Q1 2026.
I have two trading accounts, Betterment and eTrade. Both are up a pretty decent amount but I recently rebalanced the Betterment account into the regular Core profile which is mostly the S&P500 so it had to sell the previous portfolio to do so. They said because of capital gains, I'm likely to get a tax bill of roughly 1600 dollars. This is fine since the profit was more than that. However, my etrade account is one I manage myself and I made a purchase in TOYO apparently at their peak in June and it immediately went down. I've lost 67% as of right now. My question is, would it just be smarter to hold this particular stock as they do seem to have some longer term prospects OR take the loss and use it to offset some of the capital gains tax from my Betterment account reorganization? I see benefits and cons for both schools of thought, so I'm torn.
I lost a bunch of money on TOYO last week. I'm still buying though, the stock still looks good to me. If you would buy it low then don't sell at a loss. It takes to for the market to come back so accumulation is the game in the short term.

TOYO (Toyo Solar). Q1 report out now. Undervalued gem that just recently moved to quarterly earnings. Trading at $13 when it should be trading at $25 ( conservatively )
I'm bullish on solar so TE, TOYO and FSLR. I would like a battery play as well but still doing DD on that.
NVIDIA (8%), Google (8%), Amazon (8%), TSMC (8%), Apple (8%), Microsoft (8%), ASML(7%), GNENF (6%), SQM (5%), Cloudflare (5%), TAN (5%), BYD (5%), XPENG (5%), Xiaomi (5%), TOYO (3%), Zscaler (3%). Pretty heavy in tech, solar, lithium, and cybersecurity. Will eventually diversify out to some more defensive positions.

Look up TOYO. A Japanese solar company. Undervalued and about to go quarterly earnings starting in May. Low p/e, barely any debt, profitable and under the radar. Shot up 20% the past week due to amazing earnings report and ROTH price analyst coverages. Still undervalued compared to peers by a wide margin.
TOYO, if fire and forget ONDAS if you like to ride the waves (only ride upside, not downside as rookie).
Be honest, $TSLA is a cult with losing demands for its production. As a result, GM, TOYO, VW, Rivian are all getting some decent production increases at the expense of TESLA!
