Seriously though. This is a great question! What has changed so drastically today that wasn't happening the last month? I mean I was reading how many bitcoins were being purchased daily since the ETF was approved and it was an astronomical number and the price had just been hovering between $49k-$51k.. but now all of a sudden today it's been on an upward trajectory of 5k and (5%) and growing? Does anyone know what has caused this? Because I'm not hear any astonishing news breaking story about Warren Buffet using all the funds from his liquidated GM position and started loading up Bitcoin all of a sudden... it's just annoying and I feel like it happens all too often with the stock market...... it's almost as if it is rigged or something.

I played this game and was winning with little alts- $50 in, peaking at $1-3k each and sold NOTHING. I should have taken every single one of those and put it in bitcoin or eth. All of them bottomed out after their runs. That was 2021 and I’m still holding them and I’ve still lost money on every single one and hoping they come back up so I can get them out of my portfolio. When cars began coming out in the US, there were well over 400 car companies. Some did well at the beginning, so if you invested you were okay. But the ONLY ones that came out of that were the Ford and GM. When I read about that piece of history (after my alts all shot up and back down) I was like oh wow- that’s what it is. That’s what all of these alts are. One or two may make it, but as of now the only solid and safe ones for the future (like all the car companies we’ve never heard of) are bitcoin and eth. I would take the tiny ones while you’re up nice and high and swap them for bit or eth, it’s what I wish I had done and will do if I ever have the opportunity to do so with my own stuff.

There are very few recent examples of companies that could have preserved your wealth for a full span of 100 years. Many of them got ruined my family drama, financial engineering or just being irrelevant due to technological progress. Examples would be US Steel, GM, Ford, IBM, Intel, GE and all the railroad companies. There are outliers like Hershey, Coca Cola and maybe Berkshire. It's extremely rare to put all your money into one company and hope to come up with growth in exactly 100 years. Bitcoin has a fixed supply and there are no financial engineering attempts or shenanigans that can happen now. You want to double spend? How about paying for roughly $9 billion in electricity cost + mining equipment so you can double spend and cause a fork. The second that happens, Bitcoin mainnet will just hard fork and you'll lose all the energy spent to change the ledger.

That’s one example. I remember on Coinbase/binance listings tokens getting absurd market caps for no reason other than huge spike in demand paired with supply constraints. BTRST was one notable one that went to $10,000,000,000mc on $10,000,000 24hr volume then crashed right back down on about the same volume in the coming weeks. Many of these tokens have no business having the market caps they do. Does bonk deserve to have a higher market cap than some companies in the s&p500 or do people just not care about market caps and real value in crypto yet? Does Solana provide the same value to the every day person as GM/Ford/Kraft and for people calling for a 3x on it still, does it provide more value than all 3 of those together. And this is at a time where stocks are already overvalued. Nothing makes sense so you either jump on the ride and hope it doesn’t end like the dot com bubble and these things actually change everyone’s lives or you sit back and watch and keep waiting and missing out. I’ve lived that life long enough to want to catch a wave or two. Very few projects are fairly valued. XYO is one with tens of thousands of daily users and a market cap under $100M which seems fairly valued to me. I can’t think of anything else providing real value or at least is promising enough to secure a position to change the world in the long term justifying a market cap in the billions of dollars range. It’s all just hype and tokens locked in liquidity pools artificially constricting supply, and don’t get me started on projects that aren’t fully diluted or have tokens set aside in various wallets for other uses in the future.

Thoughts?! I have so many! The problem is that 99% of them I probably shouldn't say in polite company. So going with some less interesting thoughts, you are highly unlikely to reach your goal. Have you looked at EV sales volume in 2023? Do you understand how basic business works? Tesla have a market cap of more than Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, BMW, and Volkswagen combined. And they make crappier cars than Toyota (in terms of fit & finish as a prime example), yet you think they'll take market share away from all other manufacturers? Hilarious! I thank you for the laugh. As to BTC, it could easily tripled or lose 90% of its value in the next 3 years. The problem is, no one knows. I don't know. You don't know. You probably have a negative view on CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currencies), though I do not want to put words in your mouth in that regard. My bet is that once CBDC's become available, more people will want that vs. BTC. I understand the arguments from the BTC camp... CBDC is still fiat, just digital; BTC affords some anonymity (though that's getting less and less these days); etc. There could be yet another crypto winter coming for you HODLers. So grow some more pubes, get a bit more wisdom, and come back and give us your other brilliant ideas in 3 years' time. Then we can talk again.

Most gamefi is awful. Most developers for gamefi are either lazy, completely insane, or scammers. I'm in a few projects. While some are fun, a lot of the people involved have zero idea of basic project management. Pretty sure they just smoke weed all day and show up every few days to say "GM" instead of solving actual issues. Most game loops are rube goldberg machines. Most devs only care about pumping up their coffers rather than people having fun.

FTT means nothing. If there was ever a discount offered on FTX services (which is not the same as a piece of ownership/piece of the revenue), there is no obligation for the new corporation called FTX to continue upholding any previously offered discounts/promises surrounding FTT. Look at what happened with actual equity shares (a real, regulated financial instrument) and GM through their 2007 bankruptcy. All the assets of GM worth a damn went to the new GM. All the liabilities, including the pension obligations, were left behind. At $3.15/ea, FTT is worth $3.15 too much.

They can't compete with cars like the ID4 that are outselling Tesla's 10:1 in Europe. (Where they were first launched.) Companies like VW know how to make a car...first...then electrify it. So the brakes, the suspensions, and the interiors...oh lord the interiors, are sooo much better on a VW ID4 that costs $5-10k less than a Model 3. Plus...a significant dealer network in every city that can work on the cars when you have needs for service or repairs. I knew the writing was on the wall when I saw every business owner I deal with drop their Tesla P100D's for Porsche Taycan's. They were sick of GM parts bin interiors when for the same money or a little more they could have a Porsche. Porsche is a company that knows how to make a car brake and handle like it's on rails, now add an electric drivetrain and you've got the insane acceleration and quiet performance of the high end Tesla's. Tesla has no advantage anymore. I said it many times...the real value of Tesla is in the charging network, and they just opened it up to GM cars this year, more companies will license it also.

Faster than can be realistically represented by the standard method for calculating inflation. 150% inflation on meat in the UK, for example. Is it preferable to change spending habits and save something that can't be inflated, or is it preferable to continue spending and saving nothing? Costco this time last year - could get a packet of pork steaks for about £20. Costco right now - can get the same for about £50. If you've got £50 in your pocket to buy steaks, then if you'd bought pork steaks last year, you would have had to put £30 towards something else (e.g. Bitcoin). With the same money, if you buy pork steaks today for £50 and you are GUARANTEED to not be able to buy them tomorrow. So you'll buy chick peas. Eventually you'll be able to just about buy peanut butter, corn oil and GM white flour bread. Until you die early. Oh, you'll sell all your assets on the way down... You'll have nothing. The above is EXACTLY what happened to Native Americans. They had vast amounts of land and ate buffalo. What do they eat now, and how did they get there? What if they could see the writing on the wall, yet had something that couldn't be stolen by Spaniards? Don't you think they would have run to it? Of course they would have done. Fuck Spaniards (aka central banks). If we're all gonna lose and die in a "smart city" (concentration camp) eating Soylent Green, let's hurt them by not letting them steal what we and our ancestors worked for. This will hurt them. There's no evidence for that. In Afghanistan they eat mutton 3 times a day. Nobody slaves their ass off working for anyone but themselves. The people are very chilled and sit around for much of the day. The fuel for cooking is wood cut from a nearby forest. No government provides peace and stability. What provides is is the realisation between the people that they need to work together to do business. What happens if you get an efficient government there?
