Binance is delisting BUSD, so they have been slowly shutting down trading pairs that have BUSD. BIDR is also a token supported by Binance.
13 spot pairs... AUD, BIDR, BRL, BUSD, EUR, GBP, RUB, TRY, TUSD, UAH, USDC, BTC/USDP and USDT
I was going to comment how de-pegged BIDR is to the dollar until I realized it is pegged to the Indian Rupee.
Binance has BIDR for Indonesian rupiah, and there are IDRT in another exchange
Have you compared the rate, afaik there is no direct AUD/BIDR pair and therefore it will take you two steps to convert which is atleast 0.2%+spread which can account to 0.3-0.4%. Using transferwise alone albeit slightly less instant is already not too expensive with a good rate. Alternatively you can use instarem, as for my experience with them transfers are instant and they give you decent rates (0.3-1% overall fees depending transfer amount)
Lol no its not, Crypto has been a thing in Indonesia since 2017. Indodax is the 29th largest crypto trading platform in the world but most people i know use Binance. We have out own stable coin (BIDR) and a local cryptocurrency (TKO). Idk about Malaysia but crypto is very much alive in here
Duh.... All XXX/BIDR pair has seen some of the highest trading volume in the Fiat to Crypto trading in Binance over the last few days... Pretty much all Asian countries started loading up just at the beginning of this little run up.
On TokoCrypto you can deposit fiat (BIDR) via direct transfer to its virtual account, and GoPay.
Nope. It's only available in Indonesia I think. I can directly withdraw BIDR to my bank account there.
Anyone else concert all their crypto to BIDR?
In Indonesia, IDR stablecoin BIDR is used for cashing out cryptos in Tokocrypto and transfer it into a local bank account as fiat (Tokocrypto/TKO is a part of Binance ecosystem, hence uses Binance stablecoin)
Just checked and all but one on the list is BIDR the other is IDRT which is also Indonesian haha
On binance if you check the gainers list on fiat and usually BIDR (Indonesian I think) is all over the 24h volume list. I did Google it once and Russia is a big crypto user apparently
On Binance it’s showing a bunch of coins trading with BIDR at incredibly high volumes. The top 10 highest 24 hour volume and 8 of them are BIDR exchanges.
Curious question - Why does BIDR have the most 24h volume on Binance? Has it always been like that or am I missing something?
Since they added the Indonesian rupiah on binance the 24hr volume button has become meaningless it’s every BIDR trading pair in billions lol
Yup. I'm in on KCS and BNB. Made a killing on WRX a few days ago. Maybe this will do well too? Indonesia is a big market for crypto. Not to forget that Binance even offers BIDR pairs (Binance Indonesian Rupiah stable coin)
Regarding indodax, Pros: - fiat transfer confirmation is very fast. In my experience, it only takes seconds. Compare this with tokocrypto, which might take minutes - more cryptos are available (compared to tokocrypto) - direct fiat - crypto pair. Meaning, you can use 100% of the money you transfer from your bank account. Again, compare this with tokocrypto where they automatically convert transferred fiat to BIDR, with some slippage! So, let say i transfer 1 million IDR (yes our currency is shit), i'll only have like ~950.000 bidr. Cons: - ui/ux is not good. Features are quite basic. It feels like the website is developed by high school students. - buggy. For example, I can't withdraw my ATOM to my trust wallet because it thinks that the address is invalid. I have to transfer to tokocrypto first, and then withdraw it to my wallet. So my main reasons to prefer indodax over tokocrypto are due to the coin variety and fiat-crypto pairs
