> if so, why I would generally recommend noobs to buy Bitcoin because I think the ***industry is CONFUSED on why retail liquidity flow comes here & a lot of retail ARE ALSO CONFUSED about why they are BUYING***. The problem is compounded by the fact that retail ***becomes forced*** community members and ***doubles on Stockholm Syndrome*** to avoid thinking critically about their bags. If we had more ***principled industry leadership,*** we would resolve a lot of confusions. But the problem is, the industry leadership, aka VCs, have a vested interest in keeping the confusion running ***for their bags to do well.*** > i believe murad The uncomfortable truth VCs don't want to face, but Murad said it—he got crucified—is that "***people come here wanting to make money.***" VCs tell you, that is just "***TOO NIHILISTIC, the space can leverage the technology to sell ppl "utility/product"***". If you check my history, I used to be ***ON THE UTILITY/PRODUCT CAMP***. But eventually, you have to face the tough questions, what is the ***utility if you don't hold crypto***? The answer is bleak, not much. Most of the utility is built to serve ***crypto holders***. So you can't grow your utility adoption if you don't grow your crypto holder base. So how do you grow that base? The two options are: 1. Airdrop to create new users/reward users via some activity. 2. Have them buy and hold crypto. If you have stayed long enough in this space, you know 1) doesn't create holders but just farmers. Farmers don't help long-term utility adoption. Typically, ***people don't value free things***—it is very much in human psychology. ***What they don't value, they won't hold***. So now you go to option 2). What has worked so far is to create paper wealth for holders over time and convince them to onboard more liquidity into this space. More liquidity begets more liquidity so you can get a positive cycle going for the asset. Hopefully, the asset gets Lindy enough in the charts to encourage more long-term holding. > pve bc everyone gets a chance to take profits lol. Hopefully, you have a significantly large holder base that is disciplined enough to not excessively extract the chart to make new buyers and old holders lose confidence in the asset. It is all about discipline. Take profit respectfully when there is volume, and be generous to buy back with some of your winnings if the asset appears distressed in the chart. Regarding tech alts, most alt devs refuse to acknowledge the reality: their userbase is just their token holder base. Consequently, they excessively spend money and build bridges to nowhere to find fictitious users who never come. ETH sort of got the idea, but it ***refused to scale properly*** and ***succumbed to VC extraction***. Solana lost the idea completely. When I saw the "AI agent" coins, Fartcoins, and pump dot fun's streaming coins run, I knew it was the start of the extraction season. The runners were intentionally selected to have ***no long-term stickiness*** but ***maximize short-term attention extraction*** as much as possible. These games aren't aimed at increasing new user retention, hence it won't create new long-term liquidity providers for your chain. ***Whichever chain can get new users and retain them will win in the long-run.*** After going through the ETH NFT cycle, I started moving out of the SOL ecosystem at around $240 last year. I missed the Trump pump, but I don't care. All the shit turned out exactly as I thought as of today.

On August 19, the doors will open at 651 W. North Avenue in Chicago, and you’ll be able to enter the 3,500 square foot Doodles x CAMP experience. A meetup of some sort. Though unfortunately limited to people living nearby Chicago.
