Again, the vast majority of DeFi occurs through Metamask so you are falling victim to confirmation bias. That's like saying that there's something terribly dangerous about Ford or General Motors cars because they're involved in so many accidents rather than because ***THEY DRIVE A TON OF MILES***. No hardware wallet plus a compromised seed phrase for a hot wallet and you're asking for trouble regardless of which wallet you use. Sorry about your dollar worth of SHIB, though.

Exactly......they are salivating at the thought of this. Just think, we can put transponders in your car and tax you by the mile AS YOU DRIVE. Need more tax $$$ just raise the mileage fee. Can't pay for it, take the bus. The really sad part is that 25% of the population want this, so they can be paid to stay home. The billionaires want the luxury beaches, ski resorts etc to themselves, they can't stand that they have to share them with "you people"

If I tried to ride the bus (or train) to work, it would take me about two hours, each way. If I drive during rush hour (pre-pandemic) I took maybe 15 minutes. I could walk, about 75 minutes each way. It would be faster than taking the bus. If I rode a bike, a car driven by a person using their cell phone would kill me. Yes, I've been places with excellent public transportation: NYC, Chicago, Paris, etc. You'd have to be really stupid to drive your own car in those places. Public transportation works. Most places, riding the bus is not a realistic option, no matter the street people, no matter the cost of gasoline. Somebody like the transportation secretary should have had better answers. That dickhead is a failure. For example, carpool, electric bike, human powered bike, walk, buses "where appropriate", don't drive a dumb-ass SUV in Los Angeles, work from home, work longer, but fewer days per week, etc, etc. Also, a lot of people buy/rent homes a LONG way from where they work. That's those people's fault. But a transportation secretary should be knowledgeable about such things, and there should be ideas being discussed and already on the drawing board to address this sad fact. Why isn't the transportation secretary informing people? IT COSTS MONEY TO DRIVE A CAR, THE FURTHER YOU DRIVE THE MORE IT COSTS.
