Well the 10 name changes didn't help Darkcoin, to DRK, to Dashcoin, to DASH, and there was a couple others in there I can't remember.
I'm still at +50% and kinda lived off of cryptos for the last 2 years or so. Not a big bag left but certainly took the profit out and still in the green, so I guess I'm a type of rich. I had a few coins left from the early days, including BTC, DRK (which is now DASH), LTC. With that and a few $ invests, I thought defi looked great but eth gas fees were way too high, so I got interested in BSC and got lucky with CAKE and BNB. Then I lost a shit ton of money because I'm stupid and it was a bear market so putting 1k in X or Y shitcoin seemed like a good idea. Also my BTC are now locked on Celsius so I'm not rich anymore, sorry. Got pwned by MtGox and Celsius, I'll never learn.
Shitcoins have been around since bitcoin started. There's always a new "hyped" coin. "DRK is going to tha mooooooooon!"
No, I disagree. Plenty of people have never been underwater. Me being one of them, Most likely from buying a ton of DASH (DRK at that time) for $2-3. If you hit on your first shot it is hard to pick enough losers that you would get underwater. Just avoid the scams, rugpulls and hacks like Mt. Gox, Bit-connect, SQUID, LTC and the like.
