First of all, ty for the laughs. The part where you would like airplanes to run Haskell is really lol. Second. Imagine Haskell running PID on PLC. I cant even. We would be flying, never. Third. Nobody cares. Imagine going to store and buying bread and the clerk be like "you can collect your bread tomorrow when we run all the transactions".

The concept reminds me of a class I took called Fuzzy Logic. We would use them to replace PID controllers in Matlab simulink.

No of course, you never want any PID stored directly on chain. But you can leverage blockchain technology to develop solutions around Digital Idendities and Verifiable Credentials, protecting your privacy and giving only you the ability to disclose information with other parties. Sphereon has a nice write up about it here https://sphereon.com/our-vision-1/

I might be misunderstanding. Is the three dollar price of RAI intentional? Or the PID controller just happened to land on it?

Because RAI is fully collateralized against ETH only with the same systems in place as Maker in the event of a depeg. Its a free floating peg which is why it's around $3. The peg is maintained by a PID controller so it's allowed to float. Its meant to be "stable enough" while also being the most decentralized collateralized stablecoin.

I cloned a simple c++ PID from github and hooked it up to bullet physics to control a 3D drone in my Opengl test playground

It's a fair point. I spend a lot of time in XMR and Privacy subs, and so it's a topic that's very important to me. One of the biggest issues with these airdrops is spambots signing up for your drop with hundreds or even thousands of fake people and we REALLY wanted to avoid whales screwing with the coin. So this is the reasoning for collecting the data (temporarily). We're using an internally-hosted script to check for duplicate submissions and using the Reddit API to check username validity, **after which all PID will be deleted entirely from the website and server.** There is also no manual inspection of the data and access is limited to only one person.
