tldr; Abrdn PLC, the UK's largest active wealth manager, has tokenized its interests in the Aberdeen Standard Liquidity Fund on Hedera Hashgraph's platform, in collaboration with Archax, a regulated digital asset exchange. This marks Abrdn as the first major UK asset manager to issue a tokenized security, leveraging Hedera Hashgraph's DLT technology. Concurrently, EVM developers have introduced a new improvement proposal to enhance Hedera's functionality, specifically enabling the granting of allowance and approval for 'hbars', Hedera's native cryptocurrency. This development aims to improve the developer experience and expand potential use cases for smart contracts on the Hedera network. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. There was a case before the Supreme Court recently from a couple who said that a bank should have refused their instruction to send money to what turned out to be a fraudulent offer in the UAE. The judgement was that whilst the bank could legally block transactions, it was not under any obligation to refuse to carry out a clients instructions as long as the instructions were explicit. This should, hopefully, cause some banks to ease up and maybe even deliberately position themselves to pick up crypto business. The case is Philipp v Barclays Bank U.K. PLC and accessible on the Supreme Court website if anyone is interested.

Basically is the button physically required by the hardware or is it just giving a command to the software/firmware to sign the transaction? On a machine an Emergency stop button has to be reset or the machine simply will not run as it opens a circuit that powers a critical component needed for a machine to run. (hardware) However almost every other function/switch/button is just telling a PLC to perform a certain action but these can be changed or even ignored by anyone with access to that PLC and even altered with a software update. (software) FYI - I still use my ledger devices but probably wouldn't be if they weren't going to open source there software.

>Garrison, who filed suit in the Southern District of Florida, also noted the decision of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Wildes v. BitConnect International PLC, 25 F.4th 1341(11th Cir. 2022) . In Wildes, the court held that broadly disseminated communications, such as online videos, created with the purpose of soliciting the sale of securities for financial gain, could expose the promoter(s) to liability, “whether that solicitation was made to one known person or to a million unknown ones.” Wildes, 25 F.4th at 1347. In Wildes, promoters of what the court referred to as a “pyramid-on-Ponzi scheme” created promotional videos designed to draw in new investors—for example, a digital course entitled “Cryptocurrency 101” designed to teach investors how to create a BitConnect account and transfer Bitcoin into it—for which they earned commission. Id. at 1343—44. CB will do what it needs to do to survive as a company. If they truly feel threatened by the US legislation climate then they won’t have any choice but to re-domicile. But, that’s not a small thing for them to do if they wish to remain a publicly traded company. Its an extremely burdensome task to shutdown a public company completely in the country where you listed your shares & then re-list your company on a new stock exchange in a totally different country under totally different laws & regulations. - (remember, the new entity would have to be the parent corporate HQ entity, & not a subsidiary & they’d have to have no significant subsidiary on USA soil in order to deny the US govt from having any real influence or leverage against their business). That’s just sounds very extreme to me & a whole lot of very difficult legal organizational structural work. They’d have to have a very big reason to do that.… like they’d have to feel existentially threatened. - which I doubt they honestly are. I personally think this is all just BS marketing posturing media bluster and attempted manipulation of the narrative to pressure the govt via social media popularism. Here’s a few publicly traded companies that re-domiciled themselves…. mostly for tax reasons or mergers. None of them were hated by a govt or had their existence threatened by a govt and all got to retain their regular operations in the US. (Coinbase won’t be able to do that easily or legally)… - The big one I can think of is Unilever Group when it’s coalesced & Unified it’s NV & PLC legal entities into 1 global entity in the UK under UK law. - Budweiser did this due to the INBEV acquisition and it’s legal HQ is now Belgium, but it’s still a big employer in the US and sells lots of beer in America; and the govt loves beer. - Medtronic moved it’s legal HQ to Ireland via an Inverted Inter-company reverse acquisition to cut its tax bill… but it has major operations in the US and… the govt likes it. and reverse acquisitions are now taxed badly. So they’re not popular vehicles anymore. - Purina pet food did this b/c it merged with Nestle. It still has large operation in the US and the govt doesn’t care about pet food or chocolate or bottled water. - Segate did it twice (to the Caymans and to Ireland) along with going private and also re-IPO’d. But again… the govt likes it’s HDD Tech industry. - Burger King did it & moved to Canada by going private & then selling itself to Canadian donut company Tim Hortons. But the govt loves coffee, donuts & hamburgers… and it has massive operations still in the US.

You'd be surprised at how much use Explorer still gets on legacy systems that control critical infrastructure, such as water and power. I've begged for funding to replace stuff like that with justifications like "critical hardware vulnerability that cannot be patched by firmware update for PLC units using Java on Internet Explorer could allow an attacker to take control of critical infrastructure vital to national security. Once in control, system parameters may be changed in a manner that could create emergency conditions such as electrical overloads, fires, floods, hazardous materials release, or disruptions to emergency services."

Do you have any info about this particular project? (PLC Ultima / PLC Ultima X) No, sorry. What happens if I invest let's say $1000 into this? They offer monthly guaranteed return on the investment. Will I be able to withdraw my funds after the "1 year locking period" expires? HAHAHAHAHA fuck no. What happens is you lost $1000 and quite a bit of pride. This guy and his boss even told my girlfriend that for the next meeting she should ask me to go with here, which I am planning to do, because I want to see in real life how something like this happens. What are the questions I should ask them in order to trap them into admitting that it's a scam? I would advise against that, they are fully aware they are scamming people, at best they will end the conversation or give you very vague answers, at worst they could turn threatening or violent. Is there any chance I am just too skeptical and if I convince my girlfriend to get out of this situation, she misses on possible good money? No. If people could "guaranteed" sextuple their money we would all be trillionaires. A good serious investment gives a bit over inflation rates. Crypto is already quite a bit into the "gamble" territory, even with the most sane of investment strategies. The idea is simple, ask yourself what could they possibly be doing to earn enough on your money to guarantee a 600%, and still keep some themselves?

Mentions:#PLC

I am not aware of any information about the specific project PLC Ultima or PLC Ultima X. It is highly unlikely that you will be able to withdraw your funds after the "1 year locking period" expires in a Ponzi scheme. In a Ponzi scheme, returns to earlier investors are paid using the investments of new investors. When new investments slow down or stop, the scheme can collapse, and investors can lose all or a significant portion of their investment. To determine if this is a Ponzi scheme, you can ask questions about the specifics of the investment, such as how returns are generated, what assets are being invested in, and the track record of the people involved in the project. Additionally, you can research the company and the individuals behind it, and look for red flags such as promises of guaranteed returns, pressure to invest quickly, and difficulty in getting clear answers about the investment. There is always a risk involved in any investment, and it is always possible that a seemingly promising opportunity may turn out to be a scam. It's important to thoroughly research and understand any investment before putting your money in, and to be skeptical of promises that seem too good to be true.

What networks utilize their DLT for services other than DEFI and fiat transfers? I can only think of one project that currently processes data on PLC's (Product Life Cycles) and stores the information on chain (cough cough graph). The rest of the world doesn't give a shit about moons because it provides no absolute value to people's lives outside of this sub. However, if we can use a DLT to measure wasted resources we could lower the costs of goods by diverting said products to high-demand areas. Just a thought. Good luck.

A "**limited** **liability** company" whether LLC, PLC, Delaware GMbH , SA whatever that goes belly up does not have to give you anything back if they have lost - Why because they have nothing to give ! On the other hand if you have a scrap of paper (or better a secure list) of your seed words nobody can take it from you and nobody can guess it. The entry price actually isn't thaat high. There is multiple different farms ranging from 0.05 to 1 PLC Ultima coin capacity. So the cheapest farm right now is like 330$ and you can fill it with anything below 0.05 coins and just fill it as you go and earn 50% every month... They had another project Platincoin or Platinumcoin before that just dumped at some point. Now they are looking for new investors like crazy - I have been spoken to by 2 different friend groups about this and trying to be dragged into it. One of my friends is even advertising for them now because he got a car and watch for 50% off - expensive stuff as well. Apparently those 50% you pay are going straight back into the coin in a farm. So within 4-5 months the CEO made the other 50% back which my friend saved. So once liquidity stops flowing in and a couple of months pass the price should theoretically just dump - unless people actually don't sell and just invest more and more... I don't know how obvious ponzi schemes and scammers can just start a new project and people will invest. This is beyond me.

I am talking about PLC Ultima. Their Farm project gives beyond 50% monthly payout. You have to buy the coin - lets say 1 coin - for currently 100000$. Then you have to buy a farm at like 40000$ (the farm is actual cost and you can't sell that farm). Apparently when you are a member you also get luxury items like cars, housing and watches for 50% the price (wtf? just a marketing stunt to get more investors? I have seen prove of that actually happening...) Why I am asking is because I have some friends doing very well for themself. Just investing and having a nice life. They have a decent following and are not advertising this crap... Please tell me I am missing something I would feel bad for all the people investing in this... 50% per month is not sustainable, right? The price pumped from 27k one month ago to currently 112k... Honeypot for one year? When people actually are able to sell their staked coins the devs just pull the rug and milk the pot? Sry for bad formatting and language skill - thanks for taking the time :) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Either you are trying to sell the token to us using some weird emotional manipulation or you actually want some advice but here some direct quotes from their white paper: >The goal of PLCU is to ensure that everyone can easily gain access to cryptocurrencies, using PLCU not only to buy anything, anywhere, **but also producing PLCU coins on their smartphone** So your phone is either going to be used as a proof of stake miner or some other form of malware. >In the PLC Cryptosystem ... technologies, gaps and shortcomings in the concepts behind Bitcoin and other coins will be taken into account and corrected. At the same time, we aren’t competing with other coins in the existing market, but creating our own market, where we plan to firmly occupy the leading position So you will overcome the problems with others buut not compete with them. Then why rectify their mistakes ? Why mention them at all in your white paper ? It's also a proof of work coin running the cryptonight algorith which it proudly says is used my Monero while in reality Monero now uses RandomX It also says established in 2016 but their twitter handle is only created in Nov 2021. Programmable logic controller. Every piece of machinery that you see in factories I. E. Bottling plants(high volume), the machines that make and package the biscuits at Pillsbury, the lines that coordinate robots for welding in auto manufacturing plants. Every single one of these machines is controlled with a PLC. Whenever you still at a stop lights you're interfacing with a PLC unbeknownst to yourself. There are pressure plates in asphalt that trigger logic for the lights to queue you up to receive a green light. Haven't you noticed how the lights behave differently at night opposed to during the day when traffic is heavier. The lights have different modes based on the time of day. At any traffic light intersection if you look around there's usually a box on one of the corners. Which is where the PLC is housed for the traffic lights. A controls engineer programs these. Allem Bradley (Rockwell automation) is king in America and headquartered in Milwaukee, WI. In Europe Siemens is king. You'll find Mitsubishi PLC's as well, but they are much rarer. These are the manufacturers of the hardware and software developers. To access a Allen Bradley PLC you must pay a yearly subscription of about 5-10k per head. This software is called RS Logix 5000. Bridges go unmaintained and start to fall apart. Pipes within the city go unrepaired and houses go without water. Too many people live in this society with little understanding of how it works. Did you know every city light system in the world runs on a PLC. Do you know what a PLC is?

Tell me one project in the crypto verse that is perfect? You ever try to code a project half this big? I program PLC’s and HMI’s and work with guy who code programs from scratch. I have allot of respect for anyone who can dedicate the amount of time it takes to run any successful block chain.

Thank you, \[it does seem that Gemini has insurance for digital assets through Aon PLC\](https://www.investopedia.com/news/gemini-exchange-insures-crypto-assets-through-aon/). That's an interesting development, hopefully more exchanges will follow suit (and also actually follow through on reimbursements should they become necessary).

Interesting, in the EU they're pretty much hosted on a website from each government, along with details about the directors and owners. And a company website or invoice will list the company number. That's how you know you are dealing with a legitimate place. For example Ian Durant is a director of Greggs PLC: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/00502851/officers

Where is the valid concern? This comment is looking at the chart to speculate about the future of a coin. That makes no sense at all. Technical analysis doesn’t work for industries in the adoption stage of the PLC. Has there been growth in transaction volume? New wallets created? Nodes operating? These are what will determine the future of the crypto. Looking back at how apes bought in 3+ years ago means LITERALLY nothing in 2021.

I'm an electrician/automation guy that works in water and gas control systems. The **vast** majority of the infrastructure installations that I have worked on have been woefully unprotected. They'll have a guard with a machime gun on a tripod at the front gate and then have the PLC on an unmanaged router. My point is, breaking in probably didn't take the brains that you would think it did.

Look at that! We have green! * Despite green, we're still crabbing and the daily comments at 17k show that. * Market cap increased to 1.7t * BTC hit 38k again and held it for a short while. * USDT gets kicked down to rank 4 and many cheer. * DOGE pumps to 42 cents and many scream. * ICP stands for I Can't Pump. * ALGO does non-algo things and pumps. Iota does the same. * DOGE sees another shill invasion with the main topic being "we were right, just start buying doge!" * ALGO sees too many comments. * Bulls are strongly alive in what's left of the daily. * In the top 100, the biggest gainers are OKB with 32% and KSM with 24%. * The losers lose barely anything. * Perth Mint Gold Token gains OVER 9000%! Now valued at $182429... Okay, something is screwy there. But fun! * Top 500, PLC does 420% gains... BADGER is second with 40% * LYXE is the only double digit loser with 11% * The mental image of the day is confusion cartoon style. Bunch of question and exclamation marks above people's heads.

# 1. Rule "Prefixes" and ICC For anyone confused on the prefixes, DTC, ICC, and OCC are all different clearing entities and they all submit their own rules. They all operate different parts of the market. In a more general sense, DTC = stocks, ICC = default swaps, OCC = options. Since we're talking ICC, you probably want to know who's a member of them. Well, it's banks. Lots of banks. Lots of big banks for that matter: >ICC apparently operates the NYSE group. > >ICC is composed of all of these banks: Bank of America, N.A., Barclays Bank PLC, Barclays Capital Inc., BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., Citibank N.A., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse International, Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Deutsche Bank AG, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Goldman Sachs International, HSBC Bank USA, N.A., HSBC Bank plc, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch International, Morgan Stanley Capital Services LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Nomura International PLC, Nomura Securities International, Inc., Société Générale, SG Americas Securities, LLC, The Bank of Nova Scotia, UBS AG, London Branch, UBS Securities LLC, Wells Fargo Securities, LLC # 2. New Rule Summaries **SR-ICC-2021-008 -** https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/icc/2021/34-91918.pdf * Approved and I believe in effect. * Updates to their "model" on determining margin requirements / risk management. * Makes a note that the model will take into account scenarios of **extreme price decreases and extreme price increases**. * The model will take into account **hypothetical extreme movements**. So it is forward-looking. If they determine a security **will have** an extreme movement, they'll take that into account in their model. AKA, "X is going to go up next week. We are going to calculate your risk is based on IF it actually goes up". **That's nuts!!** * Pair this with SR-ICC-2021-007, the haircut rule, which eliminates some collateral, and you've got an easy way to just rip the plug from these guys and margin call them (have a defaulting member). SR-ICC-2021-007 will be in effect TOMORROW. **SR-ICC-2021-007 -** https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/icc/2021/34-91894.pdf * Updates to haircut rule and collateral that can be used for your capital. * Haircuts are additional subtractions to your total capital. You want to maintain enough capital to not default. * They are allowed to introduce higher haircuts depending on volatility of securities and the general market. Easier to margin call. * Badly-backed collateral cannot be used any more, which eats away more at your net capital. * E.g. Think of Citadel's BBB- bonds. Those are poorly backed, literally the worst kind of bonds. If you had $600 million in these bonds as collateral, then the ICC could say, "Nope. Can't use that". **It's possible that the $10-15 Billion bonds the big banks got in April are going to be rejected for collateral.** **SR-ICC-2021-014 -** https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/icc/2021/34-91922.pdf * Immediately effective, but starting **June 1, 2021** * They're giving discounts on credit default swaps to make them more enticing for the 2nd half of 2021. * This implies that nobody is going to want to do default swaps with ICC while in a suffering market. So they're introducing incentives to hopefully bring in more customers. * They are giving out \~25% discounts, which seems pretty damn big. **SR-OCC-2021-006 -** https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/occ/2021/34-91920.pdf * Reducing fees of option contracts for clearing because they believe it can be reduced while still maintaining enough revenue for the OCC. * Just them wanting to reduce fees to the OCC members because they have enough money sloshing around already. * They propose it will come into effect **June 1, 2021**, "because OCC believes that this date is the first date that the industry could be prepared to process the new fee without disruption based on consultations with market participants." * Does this mean they expect some disruption between now and June 1? Maybe. **SR-ICC-2021-005 -** https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/icc/2021/34-91806.pdf * Already in effect as of Friday, May 14, 11:59PM EST. Literally last minute filing. * This is basically the DTC-004 equivalent for ICC. This is their unwinding plan in the event of extreme market stress in order to remain afloat by wiping out members with high risk positions. * Something really cool is they'll not only wipe out members who default on a certain security, they'll wipe out similar positions in that same security of all their other members IF it's high risk/stress to the market. E.g. if a member defaults due to their position in X, then they'll cascade that to all other members who hold a position on X and tell them to get rid of it. This could inevitably lead to more defaulting members. * This means ICC is getting ready for member defaults # 3. Other TL;DR 1. SR-ICC-008 will perform a **HYPOTHETICAL** situation of extreme price movements when determining margin requirements. 2. SR-ICC-007 will rip their collateral from them and introduce higher haircuts, making the model from 008 easier to hit their risk threshold and be margin called. 3. SR-ICC-005 will cause all other members to eliminate their risky position if it causes any member to default from that same position. Cascade/snowball effect.

honestly i believe that's true. Over the last few years i only have met one guy who's mining ETH plus a few more people using etoro/coinbase or the like to buy BTC with fiat. No knowledge about alt projects, the market, tech, nada. Last few months - got a lot of questions from a bunch of (suddenly) interested colleagues and friends. And i'm a PLC programmer surrounded by fullstack developers, so in a very tech-affine pool of highly educated people. It took us a decade to get more than just an eyebrow raised. My conclusion for now is that crypto just entered the very first stage of mass adoption. People finally want to understand the cryptospace, blockchain technology and the market, even if for now most of them only give us attention for the possibility of making profit. It's extremely eary imo. After twelve years it's still freaking early.
