If that’s your opinion, then why not “BCA” (Bitcoin cost averaging) out of your position? Sell 100K sats (or whatever) either at specific time intervals or specific price levels. If BTC goes up significantly you will have sacrificed some gains (but not all) and you can always start building your position again if your opinion changes.

Well, the thing is people who have tens or even hundreds of BTC definitely have multiple wallet addresses. Even I have maybe more than 100 wallets as I BCA every month and generate a new address for every transfer to my HW wallet.

It is clear the DCA means dollar. I’m. It disputing that. What I’m suggesting is that the term is from legacy finance, and that as part of the new era of Bitcoin, we can consider using new language. Yeah, I get what he's saying and I want to be in on the lingo too... ...however, it's dollar cost AVERAGING, because it's the dollar that's constantly changing value not your bitcoin. If 1BTC = 1BTC it's your dollars that your paying to get the bitcoin that's averaging, not the bitcoin. The bitcoin is merely being stacked.... BCA makes it sound like you are buying and selling bitcoin to make more dollars. I love my bitcoin god, but I'm not sure if Saylor is right on this one...
Ya, we're probably going to be ok, but it's hard not to shoulda woulda coulda the whole thing and feel like hammered dog shit over the whole thing. In 2020, my wife who knows nothing about btc said, well if it's so great, why didn't you buy it when it was cheaper, why did you wait until it was expensive to buy it? I had to explain, "We all buy BTC at the price we deserve." lol. ouch. that was painful to explain. It was helpful to hear Michael Saylor's full podcast interviews from mid 2020 where he laid out the story of not wanting it and then finally things aligned for him and changed his mind to go all in. I heard those after I had made the decision myself, so it was helpful to hear it from his perspective and think, ok, if it took this smart guy this long to be convinced, I don't feel so bad, and it was helpful to hear him tell the story so my wife understood where I was coming from. Unfortunately, I don't have even a small tiny fraction of his buying power, but at least we're in the game now and have been BCA since 2020 and sadly only lost 0.25 in the Celsius debacle. Lessons have been learned.

I think the "dollar" in DCA refers to the currency you are using to buy an asset. At the most, you could say "I want to buy .01 BTC per month" and then if it costs $360, or $800, you pony up regardless.. I still don't think that would be "BCA," but would be closer.

This is not what is happening. Each of the avatars is being sent by a different account to a main account and then sold. I sent 1 MOON to several of the "feeder" accounts like 0x25B71B41Ed825ee59139BCA0771Ab294C86FB198. Then in the app it will tell you the user name of the account, this on is bestprefer37. Each of these accounts has activity and karma, then stops. It appears to be a coordinated account farming method used to create NFTs that are then sold for $8-$15. **It does not appear that there is smart contract hacking going on here**

I'm still not clear on the 2nd fork and how to split that out, is it BCA? Honestly after the fork I found few projects/uses for BCH for me so I ignored it and it just kept going red so now what to do? Hodl I guess.

BCA: blood cost averaging
Well, you are. DCA is a strategy where you are dividing up the total amount over a period. So when referring to this strategy people say I DCA not BCA. Even though technically they mean the same thing. For example, say you buy btc every week starting last month. Week 1 June 6: If buying $2000 worth: btc@31350.3 $2000 = 0.06379524 If you buy 0.1btc: 0.1*31350.3 = $3135.03 Week 2 June 13: If buying $2000 worth: btc@22494.3 $2000= 0.08891141 If you buy 0.1btc: 0.1*22494.3=$2249.43 In both cases you will have the same ACB.
Imo to be that DCA you should be average the cost of your USD not the cost of your BTC it should be called BCA imo

I used to think about this 1 musd Btc and I didn’t find any value in the dollar proposition. 1 btc should be treated as 1 btc and it will only appreciate as miners halve the supply every 4 years. That’s all we need to know. In the meantime, Bitcoin cost average the dollar in the downward spiralling of the dollar. Instead of DCA ing the BTC, BCA the dollar all the way into future as long as you need the dollar to buy groceries.
