They could also be some random person learning how to make their own crypto, made it go live and just wanted to warn people. Eitherway is it really a scam or rugpull if you told people before hand that it's worthless? Now if BTC was designed that upon the final BTC mined triggered some hidden code that deleted all BTC in existance and restarted from 0 you could call it a scam because you wern't made aware that the final hidden code would do such a thing. Altho that now gives me an idea for a crypto coin. It shall be called "Reset" or RST for short. 1 Trillion minable coins but upon the final coin being mined all RST in circulation will be deleted and everyone has to start from nothing once again.
