I did sorta the same thing. Picked a couple of shitcoins that were mentioned here and threw $10 at them. nuBTC, DCIP, ULTI, Scam_Coin, and Useless. So far my total shitcoin portfolio is worth a whopping $7.

I haven't seen a crypto game worth playing yet. Maybe no one's taken it seriously enough to develop a great game for it. It would be interesting if a major developer implemented some sort of blockchain thing into their existing game, as long as its not to support more microtransactions and NFT type gimmicks. I am interested in ULTI, which is suppose to allow mining by playing existing games. ULTI is releasing proof of gaming (PoG) tomorrow, which is "mined" by playing DOTA2. They are building the code to allow PoG on other games in the future, with Call of Duty and League of Legends being likely next candidates. They don't need permission or partnership from the game developers since they're just using the data being sent to the player's client to fuel the algorithm. Basically, you connect your wallet and Steam to their website (desktop app coming soon), then launch the DOTA2 game. You earn ULTI by how well you perform in ranked matches. There's caveats though: * Right now its only on DOTA2. Other games will likely take over a year to be supported. * You have to play the most competitive forms of the games, so no casuals or newbs allowed. In DOTA2, you need to play unranked for 1000 hours before you can even play a single PoG eligible ranked game. * You have to buy in monthly with about $50 worth of ULTI to be allowed to connect. * ULTI is awarded based on your effort from a maximum daily pool, so the more players the less you earn. * The ULTI team is being oddly guarded about the details on how the process works for the players. * ULTI is a token on the Binance Blockchain, so transactions come with the same gas fees BNB faces (which are 10x lower than ETH gas fees). On the plus side: * The ULTI devs are communicative with monthly AMAs, and responses on social media. * So far they're hitting all their milestones on their release roadmap. * They support Polygon for layer 2 transactions to alleviate the fees. * They don't need game developer support to enable PoG "cryptomining" on existing AAA titles. * ULTI supports staking, but only to a low maximum global amount which has been capped for months. * ULTI supports yield farming / liquidity pools, but the price is unstable compared to the paired coin so there's a high risk of impermanent loss. * ULTI also has an NFT marketplace. * ULTI also has its own crypto digital trading card game like Hearthstone called Ulti Battle Arena. This game has a secondary cryptocurrency called BOV to be used like in game currency. I'm not super bullish on ULTI. I own some but I'm just holding with no more purchases until I see how the PoG launch goes. Its a great idea but I keep hitting walls when trying to get into it. Personally, I'm not going to learn how to play DOTA2, put 1000 hours into it, then dedicate 2 hours a day to mining it even if mining is just playing the game. But for people who already like DOTA2 or any of the future supported games, its pretty neat.
