How do I get in the insider's club?? 😭😭😭 \------------------ [https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cge0grppe3po](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cge0grppe3po) The BBC has examined trade volume data on several financial markets and matched them to some of the president's most significant market-moving statements. **It found a consistent pattern of spikes just hours, or sometimes minutes, before a social media post or media interview was made public.** None of the US financial authorities contacted by the BBC acknowledged any of the allegations of insider trading. "You can have massive trades on a financial instrument that clearly show that someone was privy to what Donald Trump was about to declare," says Oudin. "Yet there is a strong chance that no-one will be prosecuted," he adds.

Two Indian-flagged vessels, the cargo ship **JAG ARNAV** and the oil tanker **SANMAR HERALD**, both received orders to change their travel routes as they were denied access to the Strait of Hormuz by IRGC officials. Tracking data from MarineTraffic shows the vessels slowing down and making a U-turn after passing Larak Island along [the agreed route](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cqxdg17yr2wt?post=asset%3A1b31b791-8ff3-4625-8789-41c3a1f9da03#post). The SANMAR HERALD also shows a draught of 21m, which indicates that the tanker is navigating with a full cargo of oil, likely from Iraq based on recent tracking data. It is not yet clear whether the SANMAR HERALD is the same tanker that [came under fire as reported by the UKMTO](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cqxdg17yr2wt?post=asset%3Afa22d51f-3615-450f-9422-c9577bf58f97#post). \- BBC
That's what I keep thinking. I have compared it to The Guardian and BBC, and I feel that the Al Jazeera live news is more comprehensive, less fluff, and a lot of just straight forward facts. It is primarily funded by Qatar (the government), so always need to consider that, but the reporters have serious chops (even the ones in DC).
It's all over the BBC for example, so you can easily find it on any credible news site.
people need a break else they'll literally die from overwork see industry tV drama on HBO (BBC UK) || |:-|
Those links don't really have anything to do with it. The war powers act has a 60 day deadline plus another 30 of US troops are involved. Congress not restricting the administration before the 60 days is up is granting is the administration the same latitude it gave President Obama for Libya, which was an actual invasion of a foreign nation with the intent on regime change, absent explicit congressional approval, outside of the war powers act. Also it's an election year, democrats know public opinion is not for the war so it's good politics to force votes on the issue to put Republicans in Congress on the record 'for supporting it'. The republican argument is that you shouldn't arbitrarily limit an administration's ability to conduct action (that is in-line with the war powers act) before the 60 days is up. Also, best to use US sources for an article about US laws and govenrment. The guardian is a dogshit publication and while I've got nothing against the BBC, US politics and nuance of US statutes isn't exactly the forte of the British Broadcasting Corporation.
I am not sure why nobody realized that the meaning of money depends on scarcity/demand and affordability is strongly tied to how much money means in different context . That’s why with $5 I can ‘consume’ a taco bell Burrito while in the US but that same $5 will buy me a grand lunch in a poor country Similarly because money has a meaning it also determines quantity and quality of supply That’s why I can afford a $100 watch vs Elon probably having a 500k watch When a large percentage of people has no money == no means to consume, money loses it’s meaning At that point only a handful of people, those who were at the very top or 0.1% will have a free reign as they will be the only ones not having any issue of procuring anything while labor is being taken care of by AI which again controlled by them The rest of the world will look like scenes from Threads ( a BBC movie- must watch) and after that eventual extinction of most of the humanity the 0.1% will be having their utopia It is as simple as the day yet people keeps on asking who will consume !
>I can watch on the BBC the number of ships getting through or being stopped. Getting through or being stopped where? Please provide a source for your information on ships going in or out of Iranian ports. I'd like to read it if you think the US is getting different facts from what you are getting. Here's another on ships being stopped: US stops 6 ships from sailing out of Iranian ports during first 24 hours of blockade https://share.google/OyhYk9xjwESe1bIRr >I really don't think those articles prove what you think they do. China are basically saying "if you stop our ships it could lead to problems" As one of the links literally says several Chinese ships stopped or were turned around. >But my main point is Iran is more set up to deal with economic hardship than the US. As soon as gas prices go up in the US Trump TACO's out because that is the main thing the US cares about. You didn't have a main point in your original comment besides implying you know more than I do. Yet here I am providing multiple sources from all over the place to verify my assertion. Please provide sources to back up what you are now claiming.
I can watch on the BBC the number of ships getting through or being stopped. I never said they weren't stopping anyone. But outside of America no one is saying it seems particular effective yet from what I am seeing. I really don't think those articles prove what you think they do. China are basically saying "if you stop our ships it could lead to problems" and Trump appears to have backed down on that after saying how him and Xi are best buddies or whatever. 13 ships is great but at least 20 got through from what I was seeing so not even half. But my main point is Iran is more set up to deal with economic hardship than the US. As soon as gas prices go up in the US Trump TACO's out because that is the main thing the US cares about. If/when there economy contractions in America, you think the country will just grin and bear it? On the flip side, what do Iran actual gain from a deal unless they can get something they didn't have already and some grantee Trump won't just start bombing them again in 6 months when he gets bored? The US have already proven they can't actually move their navy too close to the shore and just bombing people doesn't actually work (but that was understood since WW2 by most people). So instead they will resort to be a bit of old skool piracy. This is not because I think Iran are in a strong position, but the current regime knows if they back down too much they will likely be overthrown anyway by more extreme groups and they country has literally been planning for this war for 40 years. If Trump really had Iran against a wall he wouldn't be looking for a deal. Which goes back to one of the oldest truths about war, you rarely look to negation on somewhat even terms if you are winning the war.
"The shock is very temporary" Commodities experts disagree pretty strongly with this. "Iran can't fight a prolonged blockade" No, they can't. They already setup alternative trading routes specifically to deal with it. Aside, their ships are still getting through the strait. 3 of them transited in the last 24 hours. "Iran is going to get choked as well" Except, they're not. Their ships are still getting through. BBC confirmed this this morning. "This thing is coming to an end in a matter of weeks." This was said 5 weeks ago, that it would end in 2 - 3 weeks. Yet, here we are. Only Iranian ships are getting through and fulfillment contracts are coming up in a week. There's an actual supply crunch right now and it's being reflected in the spot price. The paper price will converge, but it won't be the spot price meeting it. It's the other way around. Which is why the Germans, the IMF and the IEA are all saying the same exact things. Even if Trump and Iran come to an agreement, it doesn't replace the production that has been destroyed and will take years to bring back online.
You’re a BBC fan, huh?!
At least three tankers that have been at Iranian ports have sailed through the strait. Looks like this blockade isn't actually a blockade and Trump just keeps proving Iran is in control of the strait: Four Iran-linked ships transit Strait of Hormuz, tracking shows published at 04:27 04:27 By Joshua Cheetham and Shruti Menon Ship tracking data analysed by BBC Verify shows four Iran-linked ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz despite Washington’s naval blockade beginning. Two of those ships had visited Iranian ports according to MarineTraffic. Its data shows a bulk carrier, Christianna, crossed the strait on Monday after the blockade began having called at Iran’s Bandar Iman Khomeini, according to ship-tracking data. The Rich Starry, sanctioned by the US for Iran-related trade, sailed east from Sharjah in the UAE through the strait overnight, data shows. The tanker Murlikishan, which is also under US sanctions for Iran-related trade, sailed from Lanshan in China and headed west through the strait overnight. According to MarineTraffic its last reported position was east of Iran’s Qeshm island. Another tanker, Elpis, passed the strait heading east overnight having come from the Iranian port of Bushehr, tracking shows. It is also under US sanctions and its destination is unknown. It is possible these ships have been broadcasting false position reports - known as “spoofing” - to disguise their locations. The US military has said that, from 14:00 GMT on Monday, it would blockade "all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports". It said it would "not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports.
You're right. Just reading headlines is dangerous. It's better to get full reports and not to rely on the liars at CENTCOM, too: https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cp9vm5ezxz4t Four Iran-linked ships transit Strait of Hormuz, tracking shows published at 04:27 04:27 By Joshua Cheetham and Shruti Menon Ship tracking data analysed by BBC Verify shows four Iran-linked ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz despite Washington’s naval blockade beginning. Did you get raped BBC style?
BBC saying deal done?
Not entirely true as a small number have gotten out, but if you're going by the BBC, somewhere around 99 percent of ships that passed the straight since the war started have either been Chinese or Iranian. Nearly 100 percent of the remaining have been Pakistani bound. This compares to around 10 to 20 percent being Chinese bound under a typical time period, many of which are not Iranian (BBC). Again, depends on who you ask, but somewhere between 1 and 5 full tankers have left to India or the Philippines. I'm sure India and the Philippines would rather have 1 than 0, but that is compared to 100+ a day typically sent to Aisa. Allowing two of the west's largest threats to see lower impacts (China) or significant gains (Iran) so that 2 countries can get around 1/30 the oil they would typically get is not good policy.

I'm not sure if we released their frozen assets or not. That was one of their preconditions but after the rumors that we gave it to them the white house denied it according to BBC.
The US is loading its warships with the "best weapons" in case the peace talks with Iran fail, US President Donald Trump has suggested. Speaking in a phone interview to New York Post on Friday, he says "we're going to find out in about 24 hours," the paper reports. "We're loading up the ships with the best weapons ever made, even at a higher level than we use to do a complete decimation. "And if we don't have a deal, we will be using them and we will be using them very effectively," he adds. Of the Iranians, he says they are people that you "don't know whether or not they tell the truth". Talks between the two nations are due to take place on Saturday in Pakistan. Source: BBC

A nice BBC pic would help the bears right now
I need a BBC in my life to stretch before market open
Fraudulent propaganda. The US has no deal with Iran of any substance. This is completely clear from reporting everywhere outside the US/BBC bubble. Trump has bet the empire and lost. Get used to a lot of losing.
Well basically, in the UK the BBC pay some news anchors £600,000 a year. To sit there and read the news. The BBC is funded by the public. Most of these presenters have zero personality anyway. Just get an Ai head and shoulders to read the news and save almost £600,000 a year.

[BBC news link](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gz1qy30v5o)
lol BBC has a couple posts talking about how Trump is upset about the leaked 10-point plans and is claiming it isn't what they were given. I bet he's just embarrassed that the public thinks he's a wuss for tacoing for two weeks over a plan so contrary to the demands he made. > Just moments ago, a White House official confirmed that to me, saying that the "document being reported by media outlets is not the working framework". > > "We're not going to negotiate in public out of respect for the process," the official added. > > A second question I put to the White House - about whether Lebanon is including in the deal - went unanswered. It would be real easy to prove it wasn't the real plan by showing us the ten points they actually presented that were called a good basis - but they won't because the leaked plans they're embarrassed by are exactly what they were given.
They have been for years tbf. Canadian here, and I've had them and BBC mixed into my newsfeed for a long time to even out the shitty US/Canadian media in general.
Now that the ceasefire is in place, hope everyone is relaxed and enjoying yourselves at the moment. Pleased to share some good news from BBC https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c5yw4g3z7qgt Iran warns ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz without permission will be "targeted and destroyed", adding the route "remains closed" Iran had agreed to allow vessels through the key oil shipping route for two weeks, as part of a conditional ceasefire deal with the US Earlier US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says "we have a real chance at peace", while President Donald Trump says the US will work closely with Iran Hegseth was triumphalist, writes thevBBC correspondent at the news conference, but his statements were marked by contradiction and a lack of clarity Israel says it carried out its "biggest strikes" since the start of its ground operation in Lebanon, after earlier saying the pause "does not include" the country. Since the ceasefire was announced there have been reports of attacks continuing in the UAE, Kuwait, and at an oil refinery in southern Iran Pakistan's leader, who has been mediating US-Iran negotiations, says ceasefire violations "undermine the spirit of peace process"
BBC [is reporting](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c5yw4g3z7qgt?post=asset%3A80e6bcf9-de58-48e6-87f9-20b6fc0fafcf#post) this too: > Ship-broker SSY has confirmed to BBC Verify that vessels in the Gulf have received the following message: > "Attention all vessels. Attention all vessels. Attention all vessels in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea. This is the IRGC Navy Station. Transiting the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and you need permission from the IRGC before sailing through the strait. Any vessel trying to travel into the sea will be targeted and destroyed.”
It's on CNN and BBC now
BBC: > Ship-broker SSY has confirmed to BBC Verify that vessels in the Gulf have received the following message: > > "Attention all vessels. Attention all vessels. Attention all vessels in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea. This is the IRGC Navy Station. Transiting the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and you need permission from the IRGC before sailing through the strait. BBC say that Iran has been "pointing these out as violations - even hinting that the ceasefire is off completely unless these attacks halt. They say a leaked ten point plan from Iran demands Israel stop it's attacks on Lebanon. The Lebanese president describes what happened as "a massacre". It's estimated that hundreds of people have been either killed or injured.
BBC reports it with their classic "he said, she said" style when it comes to Israel: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgez359nd72o
I would slow down a little on that. Nothing is public, yet the only proposals you see are from dishrag sites, not CNN, BBC, or ABC, so I would save my judgment.
From the [BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c5yw4g3z7qgt?page=3): Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has said in a statement following the announced conditional ceasefire that negotiations will be held in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad within a maximum period of 15 days for the details to be "finalised". The statement has said that the negotiations will be held so that "Iran's victory in the field would also be consolidated in political negotiations". The statement has gone beyond the 10-point plan that had been announced by state TV, and the statement has said that the US has agreed to: Guarantee not to repeat its "aggression" against Iran The continuation of Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz **Acceptance of [uranium] enrichment** Lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions Termination of all resolutions of the [UN] Security Council and International Atomic Energy Agency Payment of compensation to Iran Withdrawal of US combat forces from the region And the cessation of war on all fronts, including against the "Islamic resistance of Lebanon"
From BBC: *Israel has just issued an official statement on the ceasefire with Iran. Here it is in full:* *Israel supports President Trump's decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks subject to Iran immediately opening the straits and stopping all attacks on the US, Israel and countries in the region.* *Israel also supports the US effort to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile and terror threat to America, Israel, Iran's Arab neighbors and the world.* *The United States has told Israel that it is committed to achieving these goals, shares by the US, Israel and Israel's regional allies, in the upcoming negotiations.* *The two-weeks ceasefire does not include Lebanon.* *For context: Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the ceasefire did include Lebanon.* https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c5yw4g3z7qgt?post=asset%3Ac8a52968-d1fe-445e-ade3-7df9ab1cb882#post Happy to see a *ceasefire*, but unfortunately, fireworks may return soon.
Melania going to use her BBC strap-on tonight.
These aren’t the same 10 points the BBC are reporting.
The BBC link you posted lists these 10 points more or less verbatim, what are you on about?
I'm just posting a link in response to the person asking for one, and the BBC is generally a reputable source. I'm not arguing any side of the actual outcomes of said headline, because I have no idea what will happen, hence just posting it verbatim.
The libs fell for it again. They bottomed after BBC pushed some fake DJT narrative that he would use a nuke which he never suggested. Idiots.
"His proposal, posted on social media, includes requests for a two-week ceasefire and opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and would be followed by talks for a permanent end to the war." That's from the BBC regarding the ceasefire proposal
Per BBC: >Some authorities in Iran are encouraging Iranians to form "human chains" around power plants to deter threatened attacks from the United States. > Iran's deputy minister of youth and sports Alireza Rahimi posted a statement on X, saying the "Human Chain of Iranian Youths for a Bright Tomorrow" campaign was held "across the country" today. > > Footaged shared by Iran's official Fars state news agency and verified by the BBC showed what it said was a "Human chain in front of the Kazerun combined cycle power plant". > > In a post on Telegram, an account for the Iranian government said: "Those who participated in this campaign unanimously condemned the American-Israeli aggression and declared their strong support for the country's armed and defence forces. > > "In this movement, young people across the country considered any attack on the country's infrastructure to be a war crime and condemned these actions with one single voice." > > In a separate post on X, Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian said that 14 million Iranians had signed up to "sacrifice their lives to defend Iran". Applicants can register by sending a text message to a designated phone number. > > Trump later slammed the reported use of human shields around physical infrastructure. > > **"Totally illegal," Trump told NBC News. "They’re not allowed to do that."** Lol I love that little pout at the end, as if what he's doing is above board and them getting in the way of his bombing is an illegal game move.
“Asked by the BBC to clarify its stance on using nuclear weapons, the White House sent the following statement from Leavitt: "The Iranian regime has until 8PM Eastern Time to meet the moment and make a deal with the United States. Only the President knows where things stand and what he will do."
LOL BBC news in ukporia is obviously reporting 🌮 ramblings but giving him third place on the bill after Kanye West and a doctor's strike lmao
Fox News is still in a total fucking vacuum. It’s infuriating. Every major news channel is talking about this Iran deadline to commit war crimes and CNN, MSNBC, BBC, even CNBC. Mehr News Agency, Iran's state-run news organisation, reported on Tuesday that a large explosion was heard on Kharg Island, the Islamic Republic's oil hub located in the Strait of Hormuz. However, the agency did not identify the explosion's source. "The American-Zionist enemy has carried out several attacks on Kharg Island, and several explosions have also been heard on the island," the outlet wrote on Telegram. Roughly around the same time, BBC Persia correspondent Farzad Seifikaran took to X to write that "Iranian media reported several large explosions on Kharg Island as a result of an Israeli attack." The reports came hours before US President Donald Trump's deadline for the country to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Yes, it's legit. Multiple major outlets (NYT, AP, CNBC, BBC) are reporting that Trump set a new deadline for Tuesday, April 7 at 8pm ET for Iran to reach a deal regarding the Strait of Hormuz before the US begins striking Iranian infrastructure. He had previously extended earlier deadlines as negotiations continued. --- *^(This comment was generated by qwen/qwen3.6-plus:free)*
the BBC news were discussing 🥭 extending his deadlines and they even used the word TACO lmao
There are three bombers with bunker busters on a mission right now, per BBC. I don't think this is "the one" though, unless Trump got tired of the janitor he's negotiating with and is going to kill him and try to find someone else with no power to talk to.
This is WSB not BBC
Can't find but heard it on BBC news today (British broadcasting corp not what you think)
> It's becoming clear this rescue was a hugely complex operation involving significant US military resources, with hundreds of special forces personnel, several dozen warplanes and helicopters tasked with the search. > >US forces are reported to have used bombs and weapons fire to keep Iranian troops away from the officer’s location. A firefight broke out too, it is reported, with Iranian troops. > > Two of the five US transport planes used in the rescue are reported to have not been able to take off from inside Iran. They were destroyed to stop them being captured. Per BBC, sounds like the rescue was a real shitshow, not exactly the powerful and precise operation Trump is trying to portray.
"If hostility escalates, the entire region will turn into hell for you; the illusion of defeating the Islamic Republic of Iran will become a quagmire into which you will sink." This quote from Iran in a BBC article about sums it up.
> BBC: Iran may have captured F-15 crew The BBC says it has interviewed a former security officer, who indicated that Iran may have captured one of the crew members of the downed US F-15 plane.
Also reported by BBC, the A10 took part on search of the F15 crew and was hit, pilot ejected.
remember when stanley druckenmiller got everyone to buy amazon calls? "BBC News - Amazon says drones damaged three facilities in UAE and Bahrain"
There are two, but BBC says one was rescued.
If I check my girl would I know if she banged a BBC ?

Beautiful BBC bombers I named operation Midnight Hammer, pounding thru the night, like nobody has ever seen before
operation midnight hammer = operation BBC
BBC News are saying that there's not likely going to be a massive announcement in the Media update. Just talking about the usual crap and how he'd like NATO to stop being so unhelpful.
You shouldn’t talk like that bro, my who*re tramp stamp 🐷 GF that loves BBC might see your post and boy will her BF be pissed at you.
BBC is trash. If they say that, peace deal tonight
BBC just announced that the Iran ceasefire talk yesterday was baseless.
BBC is reporting him saying this a few hours ago. > "we'll leave whether we have a deal or not. It's irrelevant now, it's possible that we'll have a deal because they want to make a deal" Market seems to be happy paying Iranian tolls on tankers so long as they're not getting blown up.
Heard it this morning on BBC WORLD SERVICE radio
