What do you all think about CLRO? It hasn’t had a massive run up like most of the tickers in this thread. Extremely small float and retail momentum. Few hundred thousand could move this thing. Any thoughts? What is the overwhelming consensus on the next stock to run up that hasn’t gone parabolic yet?

Exactly what i said, I am not saying it WILL NOT go down below USD1.84 - I'm merely stating the fact that it will have to go below the share price minus the dividends + fees (below USD1.84 at current price) for you to make a profit. Unlikely because you are betting that HUYA will go below a \~414million in market capitalization at USD1.84 post ex-dividends; even after paying out 340 million in dividends, they still have around \~590million in cash and cash equivalents with almost no debt. The most recent example is a similar company ticker: DOYU. They paid out USD9.94 in dividends (300million USD, more than their market cap). At ex-dividend, price was USD16.09. One day after ex-dividend, price was USD7.02 (it has to fall below 6.15) for you to make a profit. Even if you timed it perfectly post announcement, short at USD16.57 and buyback at USD6.72, you would have still made a loss. CLRO and HUYA have completely different financials - CLRO has 1.4million USD in cash and their monthly burn rate is at least 1 million USD a month, it probably dipped for having a risky cash flow position. Shorting a company based on "common occurrence" without due diligence is pure speculation, diligence is the mother of good luck.

r/pennystocksSee Comment

I disagree. On May 9th 2023 CLRO offered a one-time special dividend of $1 that would pay out on 6/01/2023. The stock price the day before maxed out at 1.30 but within a few days, 5/19/2023, it hit $2.65. By 7/19/2023 the stock price hit a low of $0.71. The stock dropped $1.94 from the high caused by the dividend in 2 months. Shorting the stock would have been more profitable than holding it. By 6/1/2023, the time the dividend paid out, the stocked capped out at 1.22. Buying and holding after the announcement would have led to a loss. CLRO had another special dividend in 2024 and a similar thing happened. People sell off, and the price dips. It is a pretty common occurrence. Take a look at any special dividend, and you will see a very obvious pattern. If you own the share before the announcement, then you will make an easy profit. But buying after an announcement and planning to hold to get a dividend is setting yourself up to buy high and sell low. Good Luck

CLRO, SCPH, AIAD. I bought CLRO at $0.48 and AIAD at .002. CLRO does special dividend offers to eff over short sellers and to ensure compliance. They have done it two years in a row. The stock jumps over $2 when it's announced. AIAD is just an easy way to invest a small amount of money. I plan on selling when it hits .007. OTC exchange trading isn't for everyone. SCPH is biopharma that expects FDA approval around 3/6. I expect it to hit over $4 once approval is announced.

I bought a couple CLRO (obviously AFTER it went up 30%...) to remind myself that MAYBE they'll do another special divided this spring and I should get more before they do. No one should consider that move financial advice.

https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2024/08/21/2933833/0/en/Guardion-Health-Sciences-Declares-Cash-Dividend-of-5-00-Per-Share-of-Common-Stock.html HOUSTON, TEXAS, Aug. 21, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Guardion Health Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GHSI) (“Guardion” or the “Company”) today announced that its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend in an amount equal to $5.00 per share of common stock held by its stockholders of record on September 9, 2024 and a payment date of September 23, 2024. Position: 1516 shares at $11.18 a share. Thesis: Prior to the announcement, closed at $9.05 a share, so as far as I see it there will be market appetite up to $14.05 a share and everything below that is a buy. If I wait through the dividend, I break even at a resale price of $6.18 a share. Given the closing price prior to the announcement, I believe this is possible. Alternatively, if it spikes high enough prior to the dividend "shareholder of record" cut-off, I can make money reselling it at a shareprice plus premium. I view this as similar to CLRO. Disclaimer: I am day trading this. This is not investment advice. I do not plan to hold this long term or even though the dividend, depending on the price action. Trade at your own risk. I am trying to make myself money.

i think what you might want to do, is be able to predict the announcement date, and buy before that, then sell 'after' ex-div/record... after the announcement, the price can tend to rocket, to where the dividend is priced in... then right around ex-div, the price will drop the amount of the dividend. there are exceptions, but this seems to be the general concept. CLRO was an example... they rocketed right around the announcement date, from around .95 to 2.13 or something.... then they hovered, hovered around -+$2... but the bottom dropped out around ex-div, back to around $1 or less... so the .50 dividend was kind of a financial will 'o' wisp... but for people who owned prior to the announcement, they had flexibility in what to do... anyway, it might look like chasing dividends like this is easy, but it doesn't seem that easy after all... ymmv... good luck!

I make you some recomendations RBOT- this is a 10x in a couple of years, had a good move today, holding 100k shares CYN- also good move today, 100k shares GRTS- will move higher to 2-2.2 sell at 2 CRKN- sold yesterday at 1,000% waiting to buy again at .05-.10, company needs cash so dilution will happen most likely SHCT- this is likely going to be acquired at 1.2-1.5 per share, has been moving higher, buy below .7 or even now but this has been moving from .80 to .60 even lower back and forth. Finally broke out today. CLRO- strong balance sheet BBAI- off the radar comapny doing biometric security they just landed a couple of airports for gate checkin using bios, interesting and good potential BETR- this is a rate hike play, the thing is price is sub 1 book value, company has twice the cash and equivalents as mkt cap. AENT- this is going to 10 at least. My favourite value play, you will not hear anyone talking about it. Insiders own something like 95-97% of OS. Bought it at 1.5. wanted to buy more but it just kept going. They disclosed ability to continue as an ongoing concern 4Qs ago, and lifted it up 2Qs ago, had a very positive Q. Full recovery, profitable, positive cash flow, sales north of 1B vs mkt cap 130M. They distribute entertainment products to basically everyone, worlwide and also drop shippers. They are having a road show for investors on the new tech updated warehouse this weekend. The float is so small that a 5k share buy sends it moving by a lot. If you buy it use limit buy and watch the Buy price carefully because it gaps a lot. There are other companies I buy, also big cap and mid cap. Not only pennies. Hit me up if you want to comment more, im glad to shoot ideas. GLTA

maybe it is european selling. it looks like a stock can drop between 8:00pm EST aftermarket close pricing, to a big drop before the next 4am EST pre-market. the basic lesson with these big special dividends, seems to be that you want to be a holder before the declaration date spike. CLRO went from around .93 to 2.13 on the declaration spike. messing around with a stock when it's inflated like that turns out to be generally bad news. people who already owned at .93 around March 11, and held throughout... they're fine... FF is turning out slightly better, but not the great play that it looked like.

Here are my moves tomorrow PETV watch for upward movement. If it stays around .50 I'm going to grab a few more. Otherwise looking to for it to bounce back up a bit TCON reverse split takes effect 20 to 1. I'm presuming it will dip in the morning after and I'll take a few more. I only have 310 now, or 16 in the morning. I think the price will level out after. It already dropped 25 percent today (yesterday) XFOR bought the dip for short term play, looking for gains to exit KULR I'm hoping we move up closer to $1. I'll jump out if it does and hope it's down Monday to reenter. CISS Holding this cranky turd till it runs. I think diamond hands wins this one MAMO queued to buy in the AM. Solid company with possible squeeze coming CLRO I am STILL confused about the dividend... I'm going to be watching for movement though and if it dips I'll get a few more and hope for then best... And then look for a good exit as soon as dividend is out. None of this is financial advice! It's more so you all can tell me how stupid I am and laugh at me. ...or offer more friendly thoughts... cheers!

Thank you for being vigilant. I really appreciate you speaking up about the VERB shenanigans. I don't trust the email, but I do trust the FINRA rules. FINRA UPC Rule 11140 https://www.finra.org/rules-guidance/rulebooks/finra-rules/11140 I posted the excerpt that I believe pertains to this, but I am not advising anyone to take action. I have to hold until 4/11 to get the special dividend. You mentioned looking at CLRO's May 2023 special dividend. If you look at those numbers again, you will notice that the does not dramatically fall until after the payment date. That is because people who wanted the special dividend had to hold, in accordance with FINRA rule 11140. God bless the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (figure I had to add that after saying in accordance, hahaha)

I remember seeing something about the dates being the 10th, record on 11th then I was confused when I suddenly saw the date change. My plan was to buy $MEDS for the dividend (didnt sell fast enough lost $ on that one), use the principle + dividends to buy FF, then when FF pays use that money to buy CLRO for the dividend. The pay dates lined up exactly. But when I saw the scheduling dates change I panic bought CLRO higher then I should have and ended up selling it for a loss. Unrelated note, Meds would have worked out for me if I followed my original plan and sold pre market, but I thought it looked like it still had strength and I put my sell order in too late. Anyway, yes the dates suddenly changed and looked confusing and if they never changed why was this alternative put out there? Was it a mistake or were they trying to get people to buy and hold shares earlier then they needed to? It's really wierd.

CLRO, On 3/12 a special dividend was announced. It is payable to customers who have shares by 4/2. It was shorted over the last week and a half. Fintel has it as a 91.45 on their short squeeze leaderboard. I goofed and forgot markets closed on Friday. I was planning to go in hard on Friday. With the shorts and the 4/2 deadline, it will either pop Monday or it won't pop at all. The weird thing is that I see its current price at 1.83, but my brokerage has it at like 1.30 right now. Let me know if you have any charts that show after-hours trading with the 1.30 price.

The only one I ever thought about holding so far, based on my limited time on this sub, was EVA. But I dumped it when they declared bankruptcy for a $100 loss. I pretty much exclusively day trade these. I held a lot of VLD and CLRO over the weekend, and it was too much stress. VLD I sold for a very small gain of $100. CLRO I probably broke even all said and done. It spiked on Monday. But I'm a masochist and tried to get back into CRLO today, but my limit order wasn't accepted during after hours trading. I still think the price will spike before the dividend, but lately I try to remind myself to take small gains, wait for a drop, and then rebuy.

Mentions:#CLRO

I think that's the idea, and that's why people - in my belief - will be bidding into CLRO this week like they did last year right before the divided. The issue is that to sell, you need exit liquidity. But I believe that there are always traders willing to buy the drop, so as the price drops after the dividend IL believe you'll see upswings and people trading the intraday valleys. This is all why I think it remains a good play this week. I believe people will start to bid for what is currently (based on after hours prices) a 27% dividend and will them try to get themselves out of the trade earlier than others.

Same comment as yesterday: CLRO play against the ones who will be bidding for the .50 a share dividend for the $1.82 stock. For those saying "it's priced in" (like the person who told me it was going to go down from $1.71 last week and now it's at $1.82), look at [last year's price action patterns](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CLRO/history/): There was a spike May 11th - the business day after the dividend was announced. Then a die down. And then **AN EVEN BIGGER SPIKE** in the 3-buniess-day May 18th, 19th, and 22nd run up to the "shareholder of record" deadline of the 22nd. This year there was a spike the business day (Mar 12th) after the announcement (Mar 11th), a die down, and now heating up price action again. Same exact pattern as last year. I am betting that bidding will only increase from those who think they can get out with a profit post dividend, which is possible because there are always retrenchments and gains intraday to provide the exit liquidity. My play has been to buy all this week, prior to this next week's price inflation (again look at the highs and lows this week and see how they are on an uptrend), and I will sell off when the price hits its PEAK anytime prior to close of business April 2nd, which is the cut-off to the "shareholder of record" for this year's divided. My bet is on a 30% gain sometime before April 2nd., same as last year. Watch.

Definitely LUNR,VERB, and BYND for Monday and Tuesday. CLRO for Fri, it's not a short squeeze but the trend is that there is a massive surge on the two days before dividend date. Last special dividend was in May of 2023 so use the data from that time check. That special dividend was $1 and this one is only $0.50 but we should still see volume like we did on the day the new special dividend. I goofed and went back to the well too many times so I am still holding the bag with CLRO.

Check [last year's price history](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CLRO/history/) in the days before the May 22nd cut-off for the June 1st dividend. The last 3 days there were price spikes while people bid the dividend. Even over the last week, it's lifted from the bottom price.

Will be monitoring CLRO after I was late to the party for the initial jump last Monday. Seems though some people probably made more than they would have for the "special" one time dividend of 50 cents (ex div April 2nd, but have to hold the stock until April 10th to be eligible). Price seemed to stabilize a bit late Thursday from the initial pump and dump likely due to the dividend news. I expect another jump before in the week(s) preceding the ex dividend date. This could be a good week to get in. A 5k investment around $1.70 (correct me if an error) would net an investment of $1470 in dividends alone. More of a swing trade in terms of holding length but if bought at the (next) proper time could come out very well. That's my main move. Will be watching VLCN as well

CLRO -- Clearone Small company, but huge margin of safety. $27m cash, zero debt, ~$20m revenue, improving margins. Has patents on a flat type of speaker which can be concealed as a ceiling tile. They won a $40m lawsuit over it with shure and paid a $20m dividend earlier this year. They just licensed a product to Sennheiser for $4m along with getting some intellectual property. Would love to see them licence to Apple or someone for example their VR helmets but that's down the road. They use A.I. technology to direct sound accurately in a room. Very interesting future for this company, but do your own due diligence etc .etc

Maximize profit implies risk. People saying ETF or savings account are certainly wrong if that's your goal. You're going to want an undervalued micro stock. Something like CLRO.

CLRO - did anyone get in on their special dividend, anybody still trading or investing in this company, thoughts...

I noticed CLRO after the dividend announcement, read up on it a bit and by the time I bought my paltry 150 shares, it was already north of $2. Watching it drop from $2.30-ish at close yesterday to .96 today was a kick in the balls. I was expecting that $1 drop, but an extra 30% on top? Watching it slowly recover is glorious.

When you look under the graph for CLRO, the first thing you should see is “upcoming activity” with your stock listed underneath it. Click on that and it’ll show you everything what’s going on. Lemme know if you don’t see it. Also, how did you hear about their $1/share deal?

Someone explain CLRO to me? They are offering a one buck dividend per share. Share price is currently 2 bucks. 50% return. Will it just sell off by a buck as soon as the dividend is issued?
