My AI Slop Analysis: EVGN -- Evogene Ltd. WATCH-ONLY, upgraded from a hard pass issued three weeks ago. The prior verdict rested on three legs and the most important one just got knocked the shit out. The whole bear case leaned hardest on one central fact: not a single director or officer had spent one fucking dollar of their own money buying shares in two years. The people with the best possible information about whether ChemPass AI actually works collectively decided their own stock wasn't worth owning. That silence did more damage to the bull case than any burn rate or dilution number. It no longer holds. Leon Recanati bought 800,000 shares at $0.50 on August 4 and came back eight days later for another 460,000 at $0.635 -- $692,100 total, both confirmed clean open-market buys, neither one anywhere near a concurrent offering. This is not a token confidence display from some board seat-warmer. Recanati is the grandson of Israel Discount Bank's founder, former Chairman and CEO of IDB Holding Corporation, and the builder of GlenRock Private Investments with a dedicated life sciences investment arm. His family name is on a business school. He has evaluated more biotech balance sheets than most retail traders have made profitable decisions, and he wrote two fucking checks anyway. The complication: Recanati sits on the management-backed Evogene Slate at the September 4 AGM, and his second buy landed on August 11 -- the exact record date for voting eligibility. Conviction or vote-stacking? Probably both, and you cannot cleanly separate them. But you do not drop $692,000 into a $9.5 million market cap company purely to eke out marginal proxy leverage -- the math does not justify that exposure, and he already held a position going in. There is real skin here. It does not clean the thesis, but it sure as shit changes the insider read from "these people are avoiding their own stock" to "someone with serious biotech credentials thinks the price is wrong." The September 4 AGM is 18 days away and it resolves binary. Pure Capital activists called this meeting themselves after the board dragged scheduling to the last legal moment -- not the behavior of a management team that feels comfortable about the vote count. Their stake has diluted from 16.81% at 13.26 million shares down to roughly 14.1% at 15.8 million outstanding. Recanati owns about 8.5% and votes management. The rest is scattered retail. It is a genuine fucking contest. If Pure Capital wins: near-certain ATM termination and a strategic process opens -- exactly the trigger that flips this from watch to buy. If the Evogene Slate holds: the question becomes whether Recanati on the board actually changes how the dilution machine gets pointed. That dilution machine has been an absolute bastard. Shares went from 6.5 million at end of 2024 to 8.7 million by December 2025 to 15.8 million today -- 81% increase in the first seven-plus months of this year alone. The ATM is still active. Worse, Proposal 2 at the same September 4 meeting would authorize up to 150 million total shares -- nearly ten times the current outstanding. If that clears and the ATM survives the vote, they have reloaded the dilution cannon with a decade's worth of ammunition at a single shareholder meeting. The ELEO collaboration on PCSK9 inhibitors (market projected above $23 billion by 2035) is the first time an external partner with real biological expertise bet their own resources on ChemPass AI. Early-stage discovery -- zero goddamn chance a licensing deal is pricing into the current $9.49 million market cap -- but it converts ChemPass from management's word to externally validated technology, and that is worth something. Cash as of March 31 was $13.054 million, verified against the primary SEC filing in USD, with roughly $2 million in capital leases as the only real liability. Market cap at $0.60 is $9.49 million, enterprise value negative by about $1.5 million. You are buying cash at a discount -- but that discount has narrowed from 50 cents on the dollar at the prior look to roughly 70-75 cents now after a 22.6% run. The Nasdaq clock expires September 28 (42 days), and a reverse split is on the same ballot alongside the 150 million share authorization. A compliance fix wired to a tenfold dilution reload is not a resolution -- that is the same shit in cleaner packaging. The retail crowd is dead silent on this name, and what activity does exist smells like manufactured promo bullshit, not organic discovery. The authentic buyer-side story is entirely in the Form 4 filings. The August 10 spike hit $0.80 intraday -- 33% off the $0.60 base -- on 7.3 million shares before closing at $0.63 and bleeding back to $0.60. Anyone who chased that print is sitting on a 25% loss with September 4 still completely unresolved. Do not be the asshole who shows up after the move already faded. Three things flip this from WATCH to BUY: Pure Capital wins and ATM termination is confirmed in writing, not just the vote result. Or the Evogene Slate holds and the board explicitly kills the ATM within 30 days. Or a milestone payment from ELEO puts actual cash into Evogene's accounts. None have fired. Do not own this into September 4 without a defined exit -- this stock has handed shitty outcomes to undisciplined holders for two years running.

I buy small biotech companies, but only after they are generating revenue and are growing. I do not feel able to judge the technical merits of the products or how realistic the projections are. Paying customers are a good substitute, in some ways better. I am holding small amounts of MDAI, CERS, BIOX, IOVA, HALO, and EVGN.

EVGN had a huge miss in earnings last quarter and earnings are still negative. But revenue is steadily growing, and the market loves steady growth. They could be profitable in a year or two. Expenses were flat for three quarters even while revenue was growing, which is a good prospect for eventual profitability. They have been in business for 22 years and no longer have startup expenses. I like turnaround plays and am buying a small amount. However, EVGN is down 97% from its high. They are 75% debt and still strongly negative. The question is whether they can survive long enough to turn the corner, or will have to borrow excessively or dilute the stock. I hope they succeed. I got in on ELTP at 3.5 cents a share and am looking for another winner.

This sector is profoundly interesting and until recently used to be called “computational biology.” In addition to RXRX there are a few small cap Israeli companies in this space that I own (EVGN, CGEN, PHGE) and a handful of others worth considering as well (SDGR, BTAI, SLP, RLAY). Super interesting space.
Huge fan of EVGN (and their sister co CGEN, which utilizes the “same” platform). Been a rough ride for EVGN at about $.65 per share, but signs of light across many of their main divisions, including maturation of a fifth main division so far in 2023. With applications from designer cannabis to microbiome therapeutics to biopesticides & ag-stimulants, and now castor seed traits, to name a few, the company finally seems poised for financial success. CEO, who is conservative in predictions, has previously said 2024 would be the big revenue turning point, while also saying at the end of the last conference call a week ago that positive activity is due to be shared by the next quarterly report. Boilerplate for a CEO, yes, but given his usual reticence to overpromise _anything_, I lend a bit more credibility than usual to his forecast & have been adding whenever I can.
You already list EVGN. CGEN uses the same platform, so my question was if one why not the other? Anyway EVGN calls their three main platforms: _MicroBoost AI, ChemPass AI and GeneRator AI_ I always thought of them as _computational biology._
CGEN is the sister company of EVGN working off the same underlying computational biology / big data engines. So if EVGN is in CGEN should be too. It is also trading under $1. EVGN was spun off from CGEN more than a decade ago to focus on plant / agricultural applications while CGEN focuses on identifying therapeutics for humans, primarily novel immunotherapy targets. Both companies have made significant scientific progress without substantial business development success to date. CGEN for instance discovered the TIGIT immunotherapy checkpoint, which is now being developed by half a dozen or more companies, including big pharma, validating beyond doubt the power of their comp bio engine, as well as PVRIG, which may be the key to everything. EVGN is harder to summarize but they operate in four main spaces, microbiome therapeutics (which is listed above) being just one of these. Designer cannabis is another, and the last two divisions focus on agriculture (promoting greater crop yields and avoiding common crop diseases). So it goes a bit beyond the brief blurb above but is admittedly difficult to summarize. I’ve long been fascinated by the computational biology space, and especially these two companies. Most of the others in this space have much larger market caps — SDGR, BTAI, SLP, RLAY. Am curious if you’d consider PHGE (BiomX) AI? It uses a similar big data / comp bio approach to develop phage therapies. Bacteriophages exist naturally in the billions and are capable of attacking specific bacteria within nature including in humans. So PHGE uses big data and computer analysis to identify specific phages and phage cocktails to treat various applications (current focus on the bacterial infection concurrent with cystic fibrosis) without using antibiotics, which are broad based as opposed to phage’s specificity. They just had some good preliminary data released last week but the real indicator will be phase 2 in Q3 2023.

re $EVGN I don't understand why my post about Evogene was rejected. It just press released a collaboration agreement with $ICL ICL Group (NYSE). ICL is a $12.8 billion market cap ag-tech company. Evogene itself has a small market cap but trades on Nasdaq. I would appreciate feedback.

Some solid AGRI sympathy plays are SANW, EVGN and ZEST. All seeing increasing volumes but they haven't really popped yet. These tickers can stand on their own given the current macro tailwinds
Sigh, welp... you asked: BRAXF - 65%, CLNE - 37%, EVGN - 53% (this is the one I feel really embarrassed about, bought right into some P&D DD, QS -45% WKHS -25%. Total portfolio down 10% this year. Last year I did +170% (only because of timing) had I not tried to play swing trader, I'd be in fat cat city today.

I'm 23, live in Hungary (Central Europe) and am jobless. I have been investing for 2 years with a large amount of gift money I got from family to start my life. I hit jackpots early with low amounts of money by investing in TSLA early and using the cash I had to go all in after the COVID crash. Since then I FOMOd pretty hard into growth stocks in February/March (Fuck me right?) And have lost as much as 55% on some stock. I invested heavily in NIO, EVGN, PLTR, NNDM, PYR... and I'm down on everything. I have a high risk tolerance, I'm not too worried long-term. My goal is to buy land soon to start a dream-project of starting a permaculture farm/animal sanctuary, and I probably already have the money for that even with me being down a very significant amount due to my FOMO and bad decisions this year. I want to buy land this summer/spring, so short term is kinda important. So should I just take the loss on these growth stocks as they'll keep dropping, or should I just wait it out? Do you guys think these stocks will reach their recent highs again this year? Any suggestions welcome. I'm also into crypto (mostly NANO which just exploded this weekend, but wasn't in it too heavily) and because of the recent drop I thought of getting out of stocks somewhat and going into BTC and selling at new ATH or early May.
I would suggest looking into EVGN which seems like it’s almost assured to increase in value over time considering what they do, pipeline, the utility of their technology in the near and distant future, etc.

Ah yes, my loss of an entire dollar was mortifying. That's what I've been doing though. If I hadn't bought the dips of stocks I was confident in, I'd be down a lot more. EVGN clapped my cheeks in a matter of weeks. Among my favorite stocks right now are Keybank and Ingles Markets.
Still holding PACB, EVGN, BNGO, VYGVF, FLNT from when they were pennies. Lots of them have long term value, but most people just trade them because it's not exactly relaxing to hold volatile, purely speculative stocks for months on end
