$KOLD Short nat gas asap. up 30% in a week $1.97 to $2.77. Hangman just appeared in chart. Buy $KOLD OR SHORT $BOIL. TARGET PRICE IS $1.44.
Covered Calls while buying equal dollar amounts of BOIL and KOLD

Hopefully after I sell BOIL to buy it 😋 That 10% production shutdown worries me on getting into KOLD before EIA numbers on Thursday. I think a huge drawdown could give a full week run up on BOIL.
$KOLD is going to soar next week
i enjoy the 2x long is $BOIL and the 2x short is $KOLD... who amongst the /wsb brotherhood has not kold-lasered a boil off the ass
I’m jumping on KOLD to short it right when it starts dumping
Went long on BOIL 9 days ago. Almost double and I'm holding until feb futures close wed. After that I expect a drop but with the recent news of 10% production is offline I may hold a bit longer. KOLD after I sell though 😀
KOLD is a no brainer right now boys.
Enjoyed the natty rise up, now time to jump on KOLD for the ride down.
KOLD is a trading instrument not tied to a company. Expecting at least 10% in a week or two
The widowmaker strikes again (KOLD)
It's a 2x long etf usjng UNG as its base. It's nicknamed the widowmaker. You can lose your ass in a day if your not careful. Look at what KOLD did yesterday (inverse etf) as an example of what can happen. It hit well over 100 last spring so the colder it gets the higher it goes! I'm up nearly 10 in 2 days!
$KOLD still a short term hold?
Is anyone else thinking about buying $KOLD? 🤔
DRIP is also another one to watch out for. Pure garbage, daily loser even when oil drops, same with KOLD. Stay away from these even in bear markets, their daily rebalancing will make sure you ALWAYS lose.
It’s been 4 years but yes BOIL 10x-ed after Russia invaded Ukraine. Then it went the other way, eventually and KOLD 10x-ed. Now BOIL is moving again, so I thought it would be up especially with winter/cold coming. Just look at the nat gas chart for the last 5 years… or even further back. Those spikes are serious
I like natgas. BOIL and KOLD are the two leveraged ETFs (one long and one short) that I play around with. But beware, in part because of the leverage, the swings are wild.
Yes. Should exit within 1-2 weeks. Depending on M1-M2, Boil or KOLD price can be reset
Not big positions but BOIL and KOLD have been returning like 4 percent overnight.
I was selling covered calls on KOLD but didn’t really understand the whole grasp of covered calls so I got assigned selling 200 of my shares at a loss of around $3k+. Had I just held on to my stocks or I throughly understood the whole concept of selling covered calls I would’ve been up $4-5k right now 🤦♂️
Congrats. I did something like a dumb ass in the past but with KOLD, I figured natural gas prices would eventually settle when Europe showed signs of not using as much ng as they anticipated. Well, hedge funds kept inflating the shit out of the prices and my 50k worth of shares got to -50 percent and I held like a regard while this crap decayed like crazy because of the leverage. I eventually got out with 200k when the market was trying to figure out rate cuts and natural gas prices finally got back to like $1.
eli5 how things like KOLD and BOIL decay and stuff.
After many painful assfuckings, I learned not to touch VIX BOIL KOLD
I was recommending KOLD yesterday, up 14% and still heading up today.
Anyone checking out KOLD, inverse natural gas. Season rise coupled with possible ceasefire in Ukraine seems to have kickstarted the downward slide of Nat Gas. I think we have 30% upside at least
if not, just get a vr headset and visit dreamcam or stripchat . plenty of big tiddy latinas in virtual reality. I am watching BABX, PSTV and KOLD.
TTF gas is drilling. KOLD calls and BOIL puts looking attractive.
Soooo..KOLD look like an absolute buy to anyone else?
TLT - killed my port last year. NVDA - killed what’s left in my port last 4 weeks. KOLD -killed what’s left little I have in my port today. I’ll see myself out…
I am once again asking for KOLD confirmation bias on renewed Russian gas line news / less severe weather / over production of US gas prepping for harsher weather
Re opened nordstorm pipeline + us nathas overproduction = KOLD play?
I have been getting more into playing volitility and natural gas. Bought 1000 shares of KOLD this morning and and if VIX continues to spike tomorrow I will buy SVXY. And if you really want to be a baller, you can follow option flow, filtered to show large block orders. This will give you an idea of what the market is thinking. Instead of being a perma bull, or a gay bear, you can be a gay bull and play both sides.
Any opinions on KOLD for the next 6 months of spring and russia/ukraine peace
High risk, high reward. Also holding for a brief period but only risking gains from other current positions. EU conveniently left out Russian LNG from a sanction package next Monday and perhaps the three year anniversary will see Ukraine war negotiations. Combine that with current prices of LNG being unsustainable… maybe $KOLD will bounce back.
Wow, lots of info to go thru' and let me be honest. I don't trade UNG or KOLD or BOIL much. Just nibbled a little today and made some money. After all, UNG is a widow maker and am well aware of that and wouldn't hold it for more than few hours. So, thank you for the education and there are far safer bets on the markets than NG, imo! I nibbled today because on ST, there were posts about how cheap the 3x bears are and that's why I looked at the chart. I wouldn't trade it like you as the contango and backwardation is too much to handle for me. Same goes for WTI.
I need KOLD to hit the breaks and reverse to ATH please and thank you 😊
KOLD for upcoming thaw and peace in Ukraine thus Russian gas pumping into to EU 🧐
I was thinking either BOIL or KOLD, maybe both.
KOLD should be a solid play, right?
Tempted to go all in on KOLD calls, but worried this is just revenge for missing it a month ago.
People have made… and lost…. fortunes on $BOIL and $KOLD. Wish I would have bought in to $BOIL on October 1…
Play volitility. Up and down. Also, I am playing KOLD into the spring and BOIL into summer.
Green today selling KOLD puts and holding TMF calls!
I went heavy bear, SPXU, KOLD, UVIX, SBIT. China is green ATM due to their lies. Eating my lunch.
It's not investing it is trading, border line gambling. These are volatile moves that require a deep understanding of the underlying factors and very close monitoring. Possibility of making large, quick gains. Equally strong possibility of large, rapid loss. Probably shouldn't be the majority of your investment portfolio. But it's just like gambling on crypto...if you want to do it go for it, set aside a little bit and see how you do. I'll openly admit, got into them for a few trades with KOLD and BOIL. Did a lot of research, followed all the charts and news, etc and lost most of what I put in. Wasn't much but it's not for me and I won't do it again, thoughtful longer term investing has been extremely fruitful for me.
Anyone thinking getting KOLD ETF before Trump comes in? Planning on cutting prices Oil/LFG prices in half would cause it to skyrocket but is an inverse ETF
Think of KOLD like the bullish ETF of natural gas. If you look at UNG, long-term it trends downwards.
I had gotten into KOLD when it was 30-40ish and sold when it jumped to 80-90ish, and then I saw BOLD was super low so got into that, but it just kept going down hahahah
My timing must be wrong, I've tried BOIL and KOLD and never really made any money. Maybe this time is different since it seems energy is rpertty low price now.
Not options but the fake natural gas ETFs BOIL and KOLD
$KOLD $AAPL $NVDA $REGN $NVR $VIST $ISRG
1200% trading shares of KOLD
I always find it easier to go short on it by buying KOLD when it starts pumping.
Lost money on KOLD, switched to BOIL and lost money on that too
BOIL or KOLD, that is the question.
Man those KOLD calls I picked up at open absolutely printed.
It’s been KOLD for a longggg time Always cyclical
Sorry to hear that … I limit my investments to $1000 at a time ($1k calls/puts) but I do a lot of them … but go in bigger on stock buys (10-20k) to limit my risk. I’ve had some 100% gains on options but have also had many that expired worthless. It’s a lot more work but I won’t lose everything on one shot. Try building back up slowly, a little at a time. I’d focus on big movers like NVDA (or NVDL for 2x leverage 1-6% swings). I also trade in BOIL (or KOLD - the inverse ETF) on natural gas prices. They swing 2-10%. What I noticed (as an example) is that if they open up from the previous close 4 out of 5 times, it will close up. Same when it opens down from the previous close - it will close down. So I’ve been playing that move as well making a few hundred at a time. Good luck to you.
I would go short NG through KOLD calls or BOIL puts. The NG RSI is about 76. Way overbought and due for a drop considering the summer is approaching. Just do your DD before you go in.
BOIL for long and KOLD for inverse
Yeah, no. Go check the chart in big drawdowns. The volatility decay really hurts you. Better yet, check the chart on even higher volatile tickers like BOIL and KOLD
If KOLD doesn’t go up tomorrow I will be very cross.
Adding more KOLD. Nat gas will get cheaper in all situations. Except maybe if exports are opened back up, but that’s not going to happen with Biden in office. For now, oil production is forcing nat gas down and it’s a sweet ride.
KOLD Frosty
What's happening with KOLD?
KOLD is leveraged, right? So in a normal world it should decay, right? So that 200% up since Oct ‘23 will never unwind, right? I’m just asking if my mom should lock in her nat gas price for her HOA, not if I should ride the widow maker.
Leaps are long-dated options, 6+ months. After more research, September call options on KOLD might be a better play.
One? I have way too many. I sold 300 shares of META the day before it went up $100 a share. Not too long after I sold 1000 shares of ROKU the day before it went up $27 a share. I bought 1100 shares of KOLD with that money at $47. I sold that a week later at $57, cool. Four weeks later Kold is $175.
wait...so KOLD or KSS?
BOIL. Lost quite a bit. KOLD was and probably still is the play, but losing on both sides of nat gas is more than I can bear.
I am surprised no one on this board is discussing BOIL/KOLD/UNG today.
What happened to $KOLD aftermarket 💀
WTF happened to KOLD?????
I keep kicking myself for not getting the inverse one I think it’s called KOLD I think it’s too late now but if you got it a few months back you would sitting pretty
KOLD and BOIL inverted of each other. Kold is going up currently and once it changes go to boil.
dont give up, i had half my portfolio in KOLD, average 26, went down to 10, i was either going to average down at 13 or sell, i sold, now look where it is...
All I am going to say is look at natural gas. It's really low, but is it bottom? Everyone uses it and they are not going to stop, so eventually it will go up. Even if it goes to $3 that's almost 100% at this point and you will see a surge in the related stocks. Look at BOIL/KOLD. Boil will go back up. It's a matter of timing.
I wanna bet puts on KOLD , bearish nat gas etf, talked about it earlier, it’s at like $160 , up a casual 240% on the 6 month chart
Thank you, I entered KOLD at 50 70 and 100 basis of 85~ up 90% I believe. Planning to immediately dump into BOIL when I’m ready to give up on KOLD. Willing to lose it all 🫡
Jesus H Christ look at the 6 month chart on KOLD , bearish natty gas ticker, up 238% in 6 months sitting at like $160, when puts on it ?
$KOLD natural gas to be free soon
Good time to short KOLD? Realistically how much lower can NAT gas go
I don’t know about the crayons, but KOLD is off the chart. I think the reversal will be huge but f me if I know when.
Ok so Boil or KOLD ? NG price should go up right ? US has been flooding the market with LNG since the war
On KOLD, foo No LNG export means even more surplus in the US.
It takes brass balls to play KOLD. Even the issuer says don’t hold it for any real period of time
I made six figures on KOLD calls last year dunno why regards are so adamant to buy BOIL in a NG bear market
Maybe he’s holding KOLD puts
For a leveraged ETF, KOLD is a long term beast.
DWAC and PLUG and YANG and KOLD and HSI and GME are up at the same time, right? Where the hell is your god now? - Riddick
KOLD. [filled with regret]
UltraShort Natural gas $KOLD has been even more powerful than NVDA lately Up 45% in the past two weeks and up 8% in overnight trading
I would like to get feedback on a portfolio I built using an efficient frontier portfolio optimizer (not sure if I should post the link). My strategy consists entirely of leveraged ETFs in an IRA. For 2 years, I've been dollar cost averaging and rebalancing every 2 weeks. My portfolio is up about 18.3% annually during that time. Here are the allocations: NAIL (homebuilders 3x): 35.0% FNGU (FANG+ 3x): 33.0% SOXL (semiconductor 3x): 16.5% KOLD (short natural gas 2x): 8.0% BOIL (natural gas 2x): 2.5% MEXX (Mexico 3x): 2.5% UCO (crude oil 2x): 2.0% NUGT (gold miners 2x): 0.5% So what do you think? Bonus question: would you follow this strategy if it were in a post-tax brokerage account?
Natural gas pricing is affected by weather predictions and by the weekly drawdown on Thursday mornings. I sometimes trade BOIL and KOLD, which are 2x leveraged and track the front or 2nd month of the futures (they roll over at the beginning of each month). I don't try to predict the weather; instead, I look for those times when NG price is stuck in a channel for a day or two. My profit/loss limits are 3%, that is, a 1.5% movement in the futures. I last traded BOIL the final week of Dec and Jan 2. I can't tell you what to do with your current position, but I encourage you to set profit/loss limits based on your risk tolerance.
