Yeah oven been buying in and out of ibit with my E*trade sideline money just so I’m not transferring etc. like I just cycled some money out of UCO yesterday and into ibit yesterday afternoon and will probably throw it back at UCO when WTI rebounds next week

I did hold UCO but got rid of them all at a slight loss and bought ICP sub $4. They look a good moonshot but the development was moving too slow and there’s only a small team.

UCO. This should be fun.

That’s one of the reasons I got into ICP and UCO, they provide or will provide utility and it has to be paid in their native coin. It’s also the reason I fear for projects that aren’t required for utility long term. I obviously can’t see into the future but if there is a demand for a service there will be constant buying pressure, people will start holding it too despite there being no requirement for utility, as an investment. There are many risks and the biggest with UCO and ICP is that there is no demand due to cost or technical reasons.

Thanks for your detailed reply mate, I haven’t heard of UCO before. I’ll be sure to read up about them. Are they a new project? Another RBIF holder, nice one! I’m a holder also, am really looking forward to seeing what 2023 brings with this one.

MATIC I feel should be in any balanced portfolio. They just keep doing right and have so many connections across the crypto space that they are definitely going places and I like them over ETH and BTC only because I think the percentage gain will outpace both for the year. My two dark horses are UCO Archethic and RBIF Rogo Global. UCO is just onto some interesting technology that although I don’t like where that stuff is headed they seem to have a grasp on the tech. RBIF like a couple others here have posted is my favorite of my portfolio and to state my bias I’ve been in it accumulating for about a year now and was an early tester of their upcoming wallet release. As someone else here said, putting the product before the marketing and hype shows they know how to deliver, and they’re definitely delivering. To add fuel to the fire they’re also releasing their own DEX that wasn’t even part of the initial roadmap and are rolling out DAO too. Lots of good stuff coming out on RBIF. I truly believe they will turn a lot of heads in 2023.

I have an ICP wallet which use Yubikey and Ledger for the tokens, I also have UCO which will be Biometric.

I spoke to the UCO devs about this and they already have a solution on their chain (chain isn’t live yet), basically it’s a smart contract with triggers. For example you could set up if their is no activity for x amount of time it will transfer the assets to y wallet.

The company I work for processes that. We call it UCO for short. Used cooking oil

Recycle it into biofuels, cleaning products, and animal feed, as we're already doing. The UCO recycling industry is so popular that recyclers like Sanimax will actually pay restaurants for their oil. The issue isn't that the UCO is inefficient, it's that running it in a small generator like this is. Economies of scale are why we have giant electrical plants sending power to all our homes now, instead of individual electrical generators in our homes like we used to at the dawn of the age of electricity. Let's say you have twelve of these little generators, right? That's twelve generators that need parts, so you need twelve routes to deliver repair parts, fuel, and other consumables (like filters and lubricating oil). If you had one big generator that's a huge reduction in the logistics to support power generation. But even on a more simpler level, there's still so much waste. Let's say you have these twelve generators running, but nobody is using more than 70% of their total output. That's 30% of power being wasted on each of these twelve generators. There's no way to move power between sites, so it's just, *poof!* But twelve sites run off one big generator can distribute the load, and you would instantly see a 25% reduction in fuel consumption. That's before we even get to the environmental impact, because big commercial power stations have more pollution control systems in place than dinky little home generators that are often not meant to be running 24/7 over the long term, and may have more downtime for repairs and upkeep than one big purpose built facility. All this guy did was go off-grid. Folks in the disaster preparedness community have been doing this kind of stuff for decades.

UCO. Biometrics (finger print and ultrasound reader) tied to wallet (DiD), they have the license for Olympic Games and rugby World Cup. Register finger to wallet, buy ticket. Go to stadium and press something with your finger to get in. No losing or forgetting tickets, in fact no tickets. No fakes. No resales above face value, no scalpers. Sounds like a better future.

I have 20% of my crypto in UCO. Touting the first blockchain-biometric technology that can secure and authorize a fully decentralized identity, the Uniris ID solution is taking on a colossal role in the area of identity and security. The blockchain-biometric ID solution is currently a favorite among researchers from CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, French National Centre for Scientific Research), MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Ecole Polytechnique. $GLD and $UCO/$USO All day real shit needs real shit This is the 70’s all over again. They are going to try and keep the narrative that this is short term or that oil is going to go lower or is only temporary. Supply is supply and there is nothing available to make any significant impact anytime soon and that’s priced in but the near term is not! Buckle up bitches time to reallocate

Just had a look - and sorry, not wisdom tree, rather it was a pro shares ultra (3x) UCO etf. when oil prices started tanking last year, lots of people were buying the dip. So like many others I put a hefty sum into this fund expecting that oil would recover and I would make money. Oil continued to dip and people bought more. And so on. Unfortunately pro shares didn’t like the way this was going - because their downside risk was piling up with each lower purchase price Position- so they simply shut down the fund, liquidating all of our positions at the lowest possible price. Of course oil quickly rebounded, which Would have been a lucrative return on our investment. But alas, we were screwed, leading to some class action lawsuits. The moral of the story is when you own a fund you don’t really know what you’re owning and you don’t control it. It can close at any time - for a loss- so there’s no HODLing. So it seems like you’re better off owning the coin rather than having some intermediary that can manipulate your investment. Accordingly I am trying to find a custodian through which I can operate a self-directed IRA that independently holds actual crypto assets. If anybody knows a way to do this without paying the exorbitant bitcoin ira fees, we’d love to hear from you! Thanks.
