photonics definitely has a future, especially with defense, semis, and AI infrastructure growing......the bigger question is whether LASE can survive long enough financially for shareholders to actually benefit from that trend.
Sure! Don’t discount this segment of the business. Holding 500 shares of $LASE. To the other poster..I also have $LAES and parent company $WKEY, but $LASE is different.

From what I know, LASE mainly focuses on laser cleaning and defense applications. Niche areas that have almost nothing to do with the overall semiconductor industry with photonics. So the photonics trend that greatly grew the stocks of other companies may not have any effect on LASE. In fact, its taken a lot of Ls with the Q4 Net loss and scalability issues. The areas that might help it grow are possibly: \- Laser cleaning to be environmentally friendly (but with the Trump admin loosening regulations, this may not see much benefit) \- Anti-drone defense (Lasers are seen to be the most cost-efficient option in killing drones in the long term. Even the USMIC with Silicon Valley and Trump Influence can't NOT see it, can't they?) \- Gets bought out by Bigger Company (small company, niche area. There's hope there.)

LASE and GANX seem like interesting stocks. Any thoughts? LASE’s main service/product is using lasers to clean things. In recent months, they’ve been trying to signal their expansion into defense, e.g., a meeting with Congressman Cory Mills —a member of the House Armed Services Committee back in January 2026, and plans to participate in Accelerator Alley SOF week in May 2026 to show off Laser-Shield Anti-Drone system. Also, on 3/18/26, the company released some PR on their site announcing they’re collaborating with Brokk on a laser-cleaning robot for remote nuclear decontamination. Issues: preliminary 2025 financial report from March 10th looked promising, but operating margins and revenue have historically been pretty bad. A lot of money is always being spent on marketing and hiring staff members. Recent warrants. GANX is technically yet another pre-revenue biotech. Their focus is Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and the science looks really good. Lead drug is in Phase 1B. The CEO (Gene Mack) has mentioned a few times not being interested in funding Phase 2 themselves. Regardless of how that plays out, an IND will be submitted soon according to him. The cool thing here is that they discovered the lead drug using their AI-powered drug discovery platform called, “Magellan”. Issues: pre-revenue biotech and all that comes with it.

I like all the small laser and photonics companies but none have made me rich yet. I’ve made great money trading syntec the past year, waiting for $1 MVIS calls to moon on some deal announcement, Lightpath is good, LASE might hit too. Lost my ass on Luminar tho lol.

I bought laser photonics corp $LASE because i thought lasers and the ticker was cool and it was on some list, for like $1.50 a share invested about 5k. Then it spiked to $19 a share
For the sake of clarity- I dont use social media to find comapnies- in this case, I had alread made a significant amount of money on two other trades that had taken months, using my style of investigating industries that I believe funds will rotate into within 6 months but that are currently undervalued. In the case of LASE- I was stupid and got caught revenge trading, trying to get back $12,000 I had lost the day priod on a momentum play- this is not my style and it ended up burning me very bad. As once I was stuck and underwater, I defaulted to my instincts of deeply reseraching a market and player to try to figure out if the market was wrong about the ticker. In this case, this time and depth cost me a lot of money, as if I had just cut losses the week I went udne water it wouldnt be so bad. I have learnt from this and it was an expensive lesson that sadly I already knew. Greed and emotions can get us all.
If anyone’s still holding LASE, treat it like a burning building, get out or at least tighten stops... all the classic insider siphon/red-flag signals are there.

Update : November 19th is the Defense TechConnect Innovation Summit & Expo. LASE will be presenting a pitch on their anti-drone laser technology as part of the Drone Dominance Innovation Challenge. If they win the challenge, it would be a major catalyst—driving strong media coverage and likely sparking early contract discussions with other vendors and attendees at the expo. Media coverage may take about a week to follow, so between November 19th and 30th, we could see a potential pump. From now (October 9th) until then, shorts and gamma could continue building enough pressure to create the perfect setup. Looking at the daily and weekly charts, LASE appears to be channeling upward and beginning to form tightening wedges. The price could climb to around $9–10.10 by November 30th.

You need to be VERY careful with these small tickers. If there’s no open interest or volume on these contracts, then you might get caught with those till expiration. Now maybe you want the shares and it might be favorable. However I’m pretty sure you’re just trying to sell them back and make money. Always try and make sure there’s some interest and volume on your strike. I had LASE puts, the stock dropped 76% and I made 0$ because I couldn’t sell back the cons to anyone.

Yeah, I’ve been tracking it. Also current gamma setup is pretty muted. options flow isn’t driving much right now, so we’re not seeing a big gamma squeeze potential in play. The real angle is the short float. LASE still has a relatively low float with a decent % held short, which means any sharp move over resistance could trigger a fast cover. If we can break and hold $5 with volume, that’s the trigger zone, shorts start feeling it. *Short interest: 418k shares / 3.98% of float* *Days to cover: 0.11* *Off-exchange short volume: 592k shares, which is 46.6% of total volume* So while the listed short interest looks small, nearly half the trading is happening off-exchange in dark pools, which explains the sharp intraday pops and fades. Float is extremely thin, so any break and hold over $5 with volume forces shorts to scramble and we could see acceleration.
For this move yes. This ticker is not a long term play based of company fundamentals. LASE is currently being used by some MM as an easy to maniuplate tool. I'm just following the money.

Good spot. The fact that LASE isn’t just hype but already has revenues and a field-tested product matters a lot. Anti-drone tech is a real theme for the future, especially with how fast drones are being integrated into military strategy. That being said, small defense plays can be volatile. If the tech gains traction with contracts, the story gets much bigger. For now, it’s worth watching closely but also keeping expectations grounded.
