Hello, need some advice. I'm about $1000 in at $1.05 of LPSN, with an auto sell at $1.13 but it seems to be tanking at the moment... not sure what to do. I've sold even but never at a loss, I don't want this to be the first but its looking that way.

I personally like hunting for stocks where the sentiment is completely broken but there’s a plausible path to recovery. Not just "undervalued" on paper, but where the market has basically given up and any shift in narrative could be a catalyst. That’s where I think some of the real golden eggs hide not in the hype, but in the disbelief? I guess. LPSN is one of those for me. The debt is no longer scary, and bankruptcy is almost off the table because they keep improving. Most people still think it’s dead money, which is exactly why I’m watching it. If you can find your own reason to believe something grounded, not just hopium that’s where the edge is. There's always a risk, because none of us are prophets or anything, but I think I’ve found a thesis that makes sense to me. I’d much rather take a shot on a hated stock with a turnaround story than chase the next reddit darling that’s already up 300% lol

This one seems like lots are wanting it so did this one first but now going to resume "first come, first serve" **LPSN** Trend reversal occuring, broke above MA20/50/200, appears to have strong short-term interest, clean 1 month uptrend with vol/price rising together indicating possible sustained accumulation. However, repeated R144 notices suggest insider offloading and there have been no recent *concrete* PR catalysts. RSI/KDJ also seem to be approaching overbought but maybe not. Watch for these signs of strength: >150k PM volume, holding above $1.05 with PM high around $1.11 or higher. Extra points for break/hold above $1.12. You'll want VWAP to start the day at or above $1.08. Between open and 945, look for a surge past $1.12 with >500k volume; this may indicate breakout to $1.18-1.23. If it opens weak with sell pressure down to $1.00-1.03, be careful, watch for the flush. Expect dip to VWAP @ $1.06-1.08 from 945a to 1000- key signal here would be a bounce off VWAP then reclaim $1.10. Failure to hold $1 and it might revisit the $0.91 support.
I was skeptical myself when I heard about LPSN back in October 2024. That was an uptrend so I got in, didn't sell the 2.08 top and then rode all the way back down to the lows, dollar cost averaging the whole way. Im in, I check on it daily, I watch for company communications and listen to the earnings calls in detail. Sabino, Collins, and the leadership team are turning this ship around. Ive been watching and waiting patiently for months, I strongly believe that this will be a completely different situation even 6 months from now. Im holding my large position and targeting 15-25 dollar exit point 12-18 months away.

Hello everyone, I'm pretty new here, just started dabbling in stocks this year. I did pretty good today! Bought 400 shares of LivePerson (LPSN) at .99 this morning and dumped it at 1.12, nice little $50 profit. I'm playing the short game, trying to buy when something I like takes a dip then setting up auto-sells at +7--10%. Rinse and repeat.

It's common for executives to sell stock after it vests, especially when it fits into personal finance goals like diversification or covering taxes. And just because insiders aren't buying more doesn't mean they’ve lost faith in the company. They might already have significant exposure from their comp packages, so buying more might not make financial sense for them. Also worth noting many of these sales are pre-scheduled through automatic trading plans and can be part of tax optimization strategies. They might not even have much flexibility around the timing. Before assuming they’re bailing out, check how many shares they still hold. Often the sale is a small portion of a much larger stake
LPSN I’m betting on a Turnaround It’s high risk, there’s lots of implicit risk, the company needs to onboard new clients but all the pieces are in place, it’s possible. I like these kinds of trades because the sentiment is so negative and against it, that if it does flip, the reward can be huge. Not to mention it’s already done $.54 to $1.8 back to $.76 up to $2.08, down to $0.61 now sitting at $.93 (hit $1.04 friday). Hoping for continuation up to $1.22 then some other targets, ultimately filling a large gap from a few years ago at $2.31. Another large gap around $9

LPSN is volatile, somewhat turnaround story but with deep financial concerns. It may be worth a small speculative bet but unless fundamentals significantly improve this stock is not rising above $1.20 - $1.50.

It’s perfectly normal for execs to diversify or exercise options after vesting periods. also, the absence of insider buying doesn’t mean a lack of confidence it could just mean they're already heavily invested through their comp packages. Sometimes it’s less about "dumping stock" and more about *unlocking value they’ve worked years to earn*

Saying they’re just feeding openai for free kinda ignores how enterprise llms actually work lol companies like LPSN got no-train clauses in place most of the time and some clients even use open source or their own models to avoid that risk completely. And openai can’t just grab raw chats and magically learn from it u still need structure like intent labels, sentiment tracking, routing setups all that context that LPSN builds into the system and that’s where the ACTUAL VALUE is. Like yeah the models matter, but the tools around them the client controls the compliance layers that’s what makes it work not every business wants to stitch that together from scratch just to save a few bucks on api calls lol
I have a bunch of jan26 contracts, but to be honest, there not much liquidity with LPSN options. therefore the spreads are super wide. Let’s say you buy 1$ strike calls (jan 2026) for 500$ and compare it to buying shares for the same amount. Let’s say we gradually go up to 1.50$ without a huge IV spike. You‘ll end up with about 300$ profit with the calls and over 400$ with the shares. If we get a sudden price explosion you might gain more with the calls. But risk of losing everything is higher with calls. With stock you can you sit and wait.

Technical analysis. And in some cases, like LPSN, deep dive into their financials and company history, the history of the new board and the loan agreements. But mainly technical analysis because then I can identify clear areas to cut the trade. Worked so far. Increased my 2024 earnings by 50%. That’s on 70hr weeks all year.
SOFI is interesting, I can't see the draw with LPSN's software. LPSN's software will likely be a flash as consumers reject it.
My risky play is LPSN right now. My safer play is SOFI. 100x might be excessive but possible with options. SOFI will take years to develop but I think it could hit a tipping point in the near future and become a household name like Amazon or Apple. LPSN is a turnaround dumpster fire under new management. If they right the ship, I think we could see accelerated appreciation in the stock.

It was rough during the tariff announcement in early April, but I didn't mess around. I'm now about -250USD down, which is still doable. I'm thinking now that after yesterday's LPSN earnings report I'll wait for a buying opportunity in the next few days. So I guess I see my final portfolio as follows - ELTP, ICU, AMPX, LPSN, RR. So far my most trustworthy combo.

I’ve been following LPSN and it’s been putting in a few really solid weeks in a row
LPSN is my go to-- turnaround opportunity with a solid CEO at the helm. Signs they are close to profitability are there. Stock is .70 cents at the moment but was once up around $72 so it's entirely feasible it could go back towards all time highs if they achieve profitability again.
If the market continues to plummet, I agree it could go lower but that would mean current earnings are considered to be worse than Q3 2024, which they aren't. And LPSN isn't subject to much of the broader market pressures I think because they have relatively small market cap. Aside from the shade you're throwing at Technical Analysis, which, you're entitled to your own opinion, I think you're underselling the bigger picture of the company in a turnaround scenario. I don't think we will see 20000% or whatever within a year, that's just stupid. What I do think is that a return to levels of 10-20 dollars within 2-3 years is feasable. And whether I'm paying 1$ or 80 cents for that I don't really care so much. We've seen that the stock can run crazy high in a short period of time. You said in a different comment that you're not willing to hold the stock 4-5 years which is fair but you're looking at a company during a crucial turning point. You're undercutting yourself trying to wait for cheaper prices that might not come unless the broader market hemmorhages even more. It's already a steal at any point below 1$.

Again, you have way too many. I have no idea. No one can answer that for you. I’ve only heard of half of these and of those I would not continue to hold them, especially considering your losses. I also have LPSN @ 1.33 cost basis. Their earnings were today and were disappointing. I’m still going to hold for now. If it drops below .80, I’m out. KULR is probably my biggest loser ever tbh. I also was close to $3 but averaged down a bit. Some people really believe in their tech but I put in way more than I should. I still have a small holding just in case, but it’s definitely weighing me down. BTOG went to $1 the other day ($2 in pre market). Did you buy after that or did you just miss it? This is what I mean about reassess your strategy. Either you weren’t paying attention, got greedy, or you FOMO’d in after the fact. You need to go through each one and ask yourself why you bought it and if you still believe in it. Trim the fat. Even if you do believe in it, you shouldn’t have more invested than you’re willing to lose. So maybe you still believe in it but you’ve risked too much, sell some. He has a system that’s great for finding stocks currently on the rise and managing risk. Although, if you give him a follow you’ll see he has not been trading the last couple weeks because it’s way too risky.
LPSN is the worst house on the best street (AI). Measurable ROI for business, decline in revenue is showing signs of reversal (slowing each quarter). Will possibly become profitable this year. Still seen as dying by the market. New team turning around the company, coming from a huge success at VMware. John Sabino the CEO is a Westpoint graduate and a “turn around junky” The more speculative things may include fairly high short interest and small float already mostly owned by retail investors
