I'm monitoring MIST but not because of sales numbers. Its current phase 3 study is estimated to be completed around 31 March (don't take this date as gospel), so I'm thinking a bit of buzz around it may cause a run-up. Entry is another matter. Its descent does appear to be slowing and a floor of 1.65 does seem reasonable right now. If the stock is showing signs of a trend reversal then I'll likely hop in, hopefully within the next 2 weeks.
Still pretty early, but is anyone smarter than myself looking at MIST for a breakout in the next couple weeks? Seems to have found a floor recently in the $1.60’s but I’m thinking any mention of sales number from there new drug might send it upwards. For the record I’m not a bag holder, just curious if anyone other than me has looked at it recently.

Well, I’m a longterm holder of MIST. It finally appears to be slowly coming through. They have got their marketing work to do an things will heat up in March. Don’t forget that it’s an international market they are appealing to- not just the USA.

What’s going on with MIST? From what I understand CARDAMYST is expected to be available in retail pharmacies Q1 of this year. I brought in earlier today and saw it go up to $2.25 and then dump 15 minutes before the market closed. Shouldn’t it be performing relatively well given the news that their nasal spray will be available in the next couple of months?

When OTLK dumped to $1.30 or whatever it was premarket, the call option prices didn't dump that much. This gave a false confidence after it was noted that call option prices didn't dump that much with MIST on the last day either. And it was just market manipulation. So that throws the strong option price theory away. I couldn't even buy the call options I wanted. No one was lowering the prices even in the last minutes. People were firm with their option prices. My buy order was ready to go all in. It looks like the news was leaked on both this and CORT also
I feel the MIST vibe too unfortunately. OTLK did not run up prior to PDUFA day though. Expectation is that it is not going to be approved so no pre-announcement run-up. If it tanks will be because it was not approved. If approved it should run as most are not expecting approval.

Picked up 200 more OTLK. Now have 700 shares at average of $1.90 in play for FDA decision expected today. Don't know if will get approved or not, but not so spooked by the premarket drop. Big fluctuations happen in these little biotechs adjacent to PDUFA dates (see recent MIST for example).
MIST crashed from $3 to $1.84 before getting approval and then went back up to $3.4 on the Monday following after it got approval. These are all highs and lows of the situation but feels similar to this

If you're talking about RVPH I learned nothing. I went into it knowing I was likely to lose money. Most on this forum who posted about it knew it was a speculative gamble and did not invest more than they were willing to lose. MIST on the other hand; that one did take me by surprise and I learned something from it.
Ya, I took a hit on MIST too. Goes to show that even FDA approval will tank a biotech stock. If it gets FDA approval you're screwed. If it doesn't get FDA approval you're also screwed.
Crazy man. I got stopped out last week with a very small loss on RVPH but MIST and GANX really fucked me up. I didn't lose a lot of money, but I lost my profits. Should have set a tighter stop loss which sucks too. Biotech can be a slippery slope for sure.

RVPH pls explain the difference between this and MIST? MIST had a FDA approval catalyst and closed the day of lower than before. RVPH a similar stock, why are people talking like the upcoming catalyst will cause it to run 2-3x exactly?

I'd be wary it repeats MIST - their good news are about treatment of behcet disease, you know that this condition is quite, quite, quite rare and theres little market for it, similar for MIST and cardamyst (2 million people in US only) so dont expect big boys pricing in monstrous revenues.

funny you posted this, i actually took a small position (20k in MIST) right after the crash post fda approval until i know better about the company. so far, looks ok: not great, not bad. the main drug though is good. the issue is the leadership team seems inexperienced in commercialization (COO looks ok though). the entry price is good enough to make it asymmetric so far i much prefer $HRTX (cheaper, more opportunities to get acquire, great ceo) main issues are the poorly priced options. sorry rambled but will dig more into it, thanks for the suggestions
Hey asagi bro, don’t wanna spam NUVB post with other stuff, but $MIST just had the same kind of pattern that NUVB had, with a fall in stock price after FDA approval. This again puts us in the position to evaluate the future proepects of a relatively derisked stock and invest with less speculation, just as it happened with NUVB. I took a small initial position but I am very interested in what you might say about it. I will do some more research in the upcoming days.
If y'all are praying for RVPH, the market is cooked, like I said with MIST, good news or bad news, this is a highly discussed biotech penny on here, buy the hype sell the news. Maybe it touches .80s for a brief moment before eating shit I am not sure.

Lots of us, me included, are bummed about the MST underpreformance post-approval. True that the US market for PSVT is small at about 1.2 million. I'm holding though. Keep in mind that this same drug that received approval last week has already completed a Phase 2 in a different indication (aFIB + RVR) and the patient base for that in the US is about 11 million. Note that MIST has already come up a Phase 3 trial design in collaboration with the FDA and the FDA has signed approved the design. MIST plans to start this trial Q1 next year.
$MIST briefly rose above $3 this morning on opening. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

I’m stuck with holding MIST like many others. I’ve decided to continue holding on to this one as it appears to have some hope for the future. I’ve seen various price targets and the consensus right now is that this has potential. Hopefully we’ll see a climb soon. Even if we don’t, I’ve decided to hold on and see what happens. Time will tell.. could be days, weeks, or months… but I don’t want to be the one to sell early and miss out on anything in the future. Do your due diligence and see what works best for you.

I didn't want to say anything, but with how much hype there was about MIST on Friday, and over the weekend in the Lounge here, I had a feeling it was going to drop today. I do think it's part of a broader market trend, but it's something I've seen enough times to kind of predict now. Where if it's reached that point where everyone is raving about it going crazy, then it's probably already past its peak. That's been the impression I've gotten over time, anyway. I can't say much though. I'm down a little bit today on my own positions.
Grabbing a few MIST here. We'll see how it goes.

I have noticed that over the past few weeks the biotech stocks need a couple of days to warm up - VOR, IBIO, IMMP - all multi-day plays. SNTI was an exception to this, weirdly. But I think that MIST will be more like the first three, especially with the official price target now.
Surely MIST is a no-brainer at this price? **Please let me know if I'm interpreting this wrong** but they have FDA appproval, $155M in cash, $50m debt, and a US market of 2 million people. Even if they only manage 20,000 of these people (1% of market) at 2000$ per patient per year, thats almost $50m revenue per year, and this is assuming a very conservative sales forecast. Surely fair value is at least 1.5-2x current pricing? Again, please let me know if I've made any blunders, this is NFA

There will be a MIST-like momentum form FBIO from the beginning of January. There is an FDA decision deadline for them January 14 th.
