This is a chaos driven market, so fundimentals are out the window. I believe the chinese restrictions pretty much skipped over semi imports, but I cant imagine it is business as usual. Its top 10 holdings are 49% of assets, and nearly every one of those cos is in a tarrif crosshair. AApl (8.45%) - Ugh on china exposure, AMZN (5.7%) - retail gets killed but while a big % of revenues, it is only 13% of eps, AWS makes all the op profit and should be pretty insulated but sentiment sucks, NVDA (7.9%) sales were restricted already, and while expected to do >+300% eps growth this year, that drops to +29% next year. It has some minor support around the 440 and 415 levels. 400 on the QQQS would be almost a perfect 50% fibbinochi retracement, and is where you have minor support from Dec 2023 and major support from Nov 2021

I look at if it makes sense. You mentioned AMD, I actually bought 30 stocks at 148 average. Since it started falling after a good earnings report I was thinking: wait a minute. Ever since then it has been dropping. Currently I'm considering that stock as a write off. Perhaps in 5-10 years I can get the money back out of it, but then inflation has taken a bite. As long as it's negative I'm holding. Then in the past bull market year sudden drops were common, I had a few stocks that dropped 5-10% in a day without any news. The company was still valid, believed in it. So I averaged down. Now with the current market: There is a large amount of fear, some of these stocks that I DCA down before I'm now not going to touch. The whole market is hyperventilating and I see that in my portfolio, went from +24% to -6% in a week time. You can't DCA against that. I'll wait for the market to plateau, give it 1-2 weeks and then decide again. I am considering to take a position in something like QQQS. To offset this period and reduce loses. Looking at my performance I don't think my advice is the best. So I'm curious to others their views.

is QQQS and qqqj considered a bad investment? it is has been on the decline. It is invesco etfs that is pretty much a mid cap and small cap index etf. Or would this be considered a good buy?

NVDA is single handedly keeping the QQQS pumping. Everything else has relatively stalled out.

Maybe something like QQQS, Invesco NASDAQ Future Gen 200 ETF. Provides exposure to 200 of the most innovative small-cap companies.

Everyone joking about there being no obvious answer is missing the obvious answer. OP, in the event of a "black swan" type event, there is no obvious individual stock to buy in advance. However, assuming by "black swan" you mean "something will cause the market to go into the shitter." I would buy any inverse index like QQQS or even better. A 1x bear index to individual stocks that have inflated EPS multiples. TSLQ and NVDS are the two I would look at first. 1x is important because you don't have to time it perfectly since high multiples can screw you over an extended period of time.
