To answer to your points 1) Stocks like SEED and COOT are low volume meme stocks. (SEED is a Chinese company btw lol). People are just having fun, using the low volume to make high volatility. Regards will be regards. Let them play 2) It is true that the US imports used cooking oil from China. HOWEVER, this isn’t because we specifically need “used” cooking oil. No. It’s for making biodiesel and used cooking oil is obviously the cheapest material to do so. Nonetheless, once we stop buying used cooking oil from China, we’ll need an alternative AND cheap material to make the biodiesel. Low and behold, Soybeans take up 50% of the source crop for biodiesel production in the US. Soybeans are also dirt cheap cause China isn’t buying any. Natural solution? Use the cheap, unsold soybean to replace the imported Chinese used cooking oil. Aaaaand who has the largest Soybean processing facility in the US? ADM I conclude my thesis.

SEED. Chinese microcap @ \~9m MC. 2nd biggest economy is finally opening the door to GMO for agriculture and is rushing for food security (which it desperately needs because it has horrible land for growth). In terms of priority they have semiconductor manufacturing first but food is a close second. Price is close to an all time low and they just opened up a new factory that is already producing. Earnings at end of the month with two approvals for their seeds planned for this year.
