Man I’ve been on this sub for over 12 years at this point (different accounts). I’ve seen it go through all the phases. The early biotech days, the SUNE days, the fscomeau days. The run that the kid made to 100k in like a week in 2016. All through RK and the crazyness that came from it. I’ve accepted it for what it is now. The advice isn’t meant to be taken seriously. It’s a place to make fun of each other, post memes, all while shooting the shit about anything market related.
I spent 10+ years in the industry working for these companies during the post-GFC bull run. I worked for all these solar companies. Let me tell you why ENPH will never hit 300 again anytime soon. *Do you understand WHY solar did so well for 10+ years?* The Fed kept interest rates artificially low after 2008 GFC: *"Saved the economy"* And, again post-Covid. *"Saved the economy, again"* Except they didn't factor in the effect: **INFLATION** (transitory, he said, lol) Investors were willing and able to pile in (and lose) cash into solar companies like *Sunrun, Vivint, Solar City*, etc. Solar companies were operating on **very** cheap money. *"But the Fed is lowering rates again"* Yes, which will also keep **inflation high**. Precious metals are pumping. Treasuries are being dumped. De-dollarization is in process. **The macro is much differen't "this time" for the solar industry.** Who in their right mind would light their cash on fire investing in solar companies, whether through stocks, options or direct capital investment into these companies? Only people that want to lose money. What home owner is going to actually finance solar these days when long term rates aren't coming down? What home owner would put up liquid cash to pay for solar when they could invest it at bare minimum in QQQ or SPY or better yet GDX and SLV? The "savings" from solar on your electricity bill are not better or equal to other means of investments. Solar is a not a "consumer staple" - you don't need it. You just want it. RIP SUNE, ENPH, SEDG, RUN, VSLR, SPWR, SCTY, TSLA, (their solar department is basically a skeleton crew) Residential solar had its run. The "golden years" of making 20k a month selling "free solar" to homeowners is gone. Investors aren't looking to pile in expensive cash into a failed business model. ENPH makes good products. But the economic stage is not set for ENPH 300 again, not anytime soon.

Everybody is looking to make money! Nothing new on Reddit and any other platform. The difference is some post about stocks when the stocks are pretty high so you get in and get foked. I post when the stocks I like are low so everyone has a fair chance. About SUNE, I didn’t post anything before r/s because I didn’t know about that one. XLO and SUNE… about time both to go ballistic
I’m just responding, don’t want to fight here. I think day-trading something so volatile is also a very quick way to lose money too. I do this for a living so maybe I look at things differently. I try to think like an institution while also taking my risks (penny stocks are arguably riskier, but I also ways say they have less room to fall). $CTM was averaging 100k in volume, a dead stock, when I bought, that’s the idea. Relatively speaking, $CTM has revenue but has also continued to dilute. If you read their most recent 424B5 filing, they say that the book value of their shares after this most recent offering is $.08. I don’t think I compared anything to $KULR, which I’m happy to be out of (with modest gains) and won’t touch again. $OMTK’s jump was probably due in large part to me loading (how many hundreds of thousands of shares could I have? I get carried away when I feel like no one’s going to sell it down). Correct me if I’m wrong but they haven’t diluted in quite a long time, same with $ESMC. Zooming out on $OMTK’s chart shows it actually bottomed out around $.02 and was rising back up slowly (before I entered). Of course it’s consolidated back down to ~$.03 and some change. Insiders just exercised options to buy and hold ~40%. There’s enough eye-opening gems there for me to load and hold long; it’s a $.03 stock, a “f@%k around and find out” play, one we could all try to lock up like when everyone (not me) was going in on $SUNE while they were diluting massively. It may not explode overnight but I want to have all the shares I can risk for the future.

Right around $.03 looks solid to me - I don't know what caused the gap down on 4/7 but the volume's been so low that the price fluctuations are all relative. I do know that the days I decided to buy in (heavily, mind you, buy why not? it's a $.03-.04 stock), the price easily jumped to \~$.06... Everyone on this board was buying into $SUNE a while ago when it was this low, when they were clearly diluting... I wonder how locked the float is with [insider ownership being \~40%](https://fintel.io/sn/us/omtk), or 8,854,552 of 21,948,091 shares, leaving only \~13 million.
I bought one share with the $0.69 I had lying around in my Robinhood account. They did the reverse split, Robinhood screwed up and gave me one whole share instead of the fraction that I then owned. Immediately sold and now my account sits comfortably at $3. Retiring soon thanks to SUNE.

But yet pumping NWTG and then SUNE was ALL the rage on here. Insider buy? That was me 🤣 I deleted my Reddit account because I didn’t want people trying to come find me but then I realized it wasn’t that serious. I’m not anywhere close to that address right now. My Reddit account has been active since then. Sure I scaled out when it dropped but have since scaled back in and plan to load more on the dips. CTM has a shelf offering on file for far more shares than that and everyone’s *so* bullish about that one, meanwhile Nuvve is working on a $150 million contract as we speak (that a reputable investment bank is helping them with). $18 million backlog going into 2025, just bought their competition, expanding into Japan, diversifying into crypto, just have a hunch that something big is coming. I know there are warrants, and a shelf offering. Companies use debt to grow and that’s what I’m betting on. All I said was thank you man, goodness…

The best play (could have been better) was with WOLF. it’s moving well but it absolutely tanked earlier yesterday. Straight down as soon as market opened. I realized the US shrink 0.3 and was like hey there is opportunity here. Sold all, then bought at bottom. Was a day trade but was a slick move. I also have $3000 in SUNE pre reverse split. pray for me. 💀
