UWMC short squeeze imminent (continued)
Bus pass or Lambo, no in between. I used my USMC money to buy calls on UPS, then UPS stock went up 20% in value. I ended up selling and buying $19,600 of LEAPS on Bank of America calls. Wish my retarded ass luck.

I said it ironically. My strategy was always, (Max 401k)+(Live below my means)+(pay off expensive debt first) I'm here to lurk and learn. I moved my 401 to IRA's every two weeks after they were match vested. My postsecondary education started when I was enlisted USMC with small arms and squad tactics through the Marine Corps Institute. I ended in Program Management after some time at HQ, where they do the big money toys. ICBMs, rail guns, lasers, ... bombers, drones etc. My "position": Buy what you know. Don't gamble. Follow the engineers. They spit out products over their lifetime like pez dispenser. Of course buy low. Keep your mouth shut when you're shopping then tell everyone how great it is after you get in cheap. RN? The ANTPS-80 and anything they bolt it on, or network it to, are gonna be awesome. There's some auto turrets out there now with AI targeting systems that can blow shit out of the skys with amazing efficiency. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that in the sky coming to a neighborhood near you. I'm thinking naked flying Bradley. Bushmaster 30's shred especially with the DU or some smart rounds. You have to know quite a bit about logistics and manufacturing capability to make good bets in that space. Well you don HAVE to be. Lots of gambling going on here. Paper hands. Me ape, me not smart. Me strong. Me hold position & bubble scrape. Took a few grand off the top like 6 weeks ago, no, 5. That's where my math was. I just pay bills ahead to a point where I can think clear. As I approach that time I start looking at what I'm going to sell next. Some things need to mature before sales, kinda like farming. Plant the right money and watch it slowly grow and take it to harvest when it matures. Ya'll don't play my game. I came here to learn but it looks like gambling.
Thanks, USMC birthday today🎉 haha, getting out here in a little.
They could moonshot based on their XQ-58 Valkyrie, it's a CCA picked up by the USMC. That said, they're not in the wider USAF CCA program (that's Anduril and General Atomics), so I think Kratos is probably not a buy at their current P/E. I've dealt with the Kratos team, and my take was they were 2 steps behind the pack and trying to do everything on a shoestring budget. People only buy them because they can't buy Anduril or General Atomics.
Depends on the branch. USMC is the most pro trump while big army and big navy not so.much. No idea about the USAF.
Looks like the USMC coming out of the showers
He knows that the 94% of goods imported from Canada to the US are covered under the USMC. That means only 6% has tariffs. That’s nothing.
No - this new 35% only applies to non USMC goods, which is 5% of imports.
What percentage of US Canada trade is covered by USMC/exempt from tariffs?
Does anyone know what percentage of our trade with Canada is covered by USMC/ exempt from tariffs?
I asked these questions in another post. Someone good in international trade and relations please help me understand. Did 🥭 just rip up the USMC agreement? How is anyone going to trust him and agree to what he says when he can just void any agreements he made with his allies? What does China think? Do they think they can negotiate a better deal when an ally like Canada is being treated like this?

So how does one get assigned a rank in the military like that? I was in the USMC and I don’t think there were lt cols running around that were just civis pretending. Maybe I’m stupid but how do you just swear in someone to that rank?? Sure you can have advisors and stuff, but really?
I have some juicy straddles on USMC, RN, and KSAAF as well.
That's crazy they chose the Marines, does 🌮 not know about the Mexican Mafia in the USMC?
Why doesn't this clown trump go back to table with USMC and make a deal with Canada and Mexico; 2of the 3 largest trading partners. They are waiting!
I mean obviously no one knows but it seems to me people are thinking Trump won’t follow through. Similar to when Trump threw out NAFTA and replaced it with a similar deal in USMC that he called the greatest deal ever negotiated. But the reality is no one knows what c will happen
Past presidents includes him with his own USMC deal
Interesting, an entire thread of marines disagree with you, as well as the Cato institute. But I guess you know more than them right? https://www.reddit.com/r/USMC/s/Igi7dBG5re
I couldn't get a job for shit. Fresh out of the USMC too, I thought I had the world by the balls and I had to go do roofing just to make any money
This is because Tesla got hit with counter tariffs in Canada, they don’t qualify for the USMC exemption. Prices went up this week.
I think Canada is 25% on non-USMC negotiated items for now. Will change in 60 days or so.
I think we're currently at 10%, down from the "discounted rate" of 17%. We don't exactly have much more to offer to the US aside from being a ~~meatshield~~ launch site for the USAF / USMC / USN when the trade war suddenly becomes spicy. We can't exactly afford to buy enough US goods to wipe out the trade deficit.
No. Japan wanted / tried to sue for peace using the Soviets as an intermediary. They actually had a neutrality pact for much of the war. Their only non-negotiable was the life and status of their emperor. The initial plan at Yalta was for the Soviets to declare war on Japan 3 months after Germany’s defeat. But between Yalta and VE + 90 Days: - FDR died - Truman the puppet became president - Allen Dulles… - The USN, USMC, KMT and CCP put the hurt on the IJA/IJN - The Trinity test happened - **The US Empire and MIC was born** So to prevent the Soviets from gaining influence in east Asia, they nuked Hiroshima. Japan didn’t even try to surrender after that, it was the Soviets invading that scared the shit out of them. So they tried to surrender unconditionally, but unfortunately that was the day before the US had already planned to hammer home (and forewarn) the announcement of their empire - at Nagasaki.
There’s ways to skirt tariffs, good example is what Chinese manufacturers did during first T presidency and through last one. They invested $80B in building factories in Mexico, and produced goods there to get around China tariffs since Mexico had the USMC.
Difficult to say, I think he does believe in them if you go back decades and listen to his comments on them. But I don’t think he expected such a negative reaction (stock & bond markets + USD, etc), maybe he thought some short term pain in equities but not the whole trifecta! Plus if 9/10 of your advisers are trade hawks and restrictionists, you’re sitting in your own echo chamber, and hearing only what you want to hear. I mean I can understand trying to get a little more tough on China due to their trade practices and to a lesser extent Mexico who allowed Chinese companies to build factories in order to circumvent previous tariffs due to USMC, but there’s definitely way better ways to do it, especially not alienating your other allies like Canada and EU.
The USMC was about making North America strong and wealthy. Try reading it sometime.
This is a bad sign. Not because Trump realizes the error of his way but because if he has to negotiate another trade deal it'll be as disasterous as the USMC.
BLANKET 10% TARIFFS: STILL IN PLACE 25% USMC TARIFFS: STILL IN PLACE CHINESE TARIFFS: STILL IN PLACE The claim that the trade war is "paused" is absolute bollocks. You are proof that God doesn't exist because no supreme divine entity could live with himself after creating such a dumb fucking smooth brain like you.
USMC is still fully in effect... USMC compliant goods are at a 0% tariff right now. You might want to start questioning the information you digest.
The tariffed countries caved? He explicitly said he doesn’t want free trade, he wants balanced trade. Out of this whole fiasco to this day, Trump hasn’t expressed interest in any free trade deals and he rejected every single one offered (notably Israel and EU). Trump caved, and it’s clearly because of the bond market and recession projection. He even said the former himself Also during his first term he threw out NAFTA for the USMC, and shut down any idea of the TPP or TTIP.
I had a 82 year old boomer (or is he too old for boomers?) randomly stop me in the gym and start talking and what a shit hole the US is right now and how we need to get China for some reason (I was wearing my USMC shirt)... These are the people that 🥭 is catering to with these tariffs and until they suddenly think it's a bad idea the drilling will continue
Going into a navy or USMC office might have though? Your claim is kind of out there that's why you get no compassion. The military was in an active war offering great sign up bonuses back then to get tons of people. Many people from my HS that weren't the brightest went that route with no problems. Also people tend to remember scores like SAT and ASVAB. I know I remember my score even though I just took the test to ditch class and knew i was going to college.cpuld it be a case of selective memory because the score kept you out of the military? Did they tell you to go do the future soldier prep course and you refused or was it to low for that?
When will someone in SCOTUS or you know, Congress, or better yet the entire Fortune 500 stand up and says that "the king has no clothes" and is unfit to be President or anything above county dog catcher (with all respect to animal control officers..) . Fortune 500 CFO and CEO should all walk in Congress and tell all Congress representatives, that NOT ONE SINGLE PENNY of donations until DJT is removed from office, Musk is gone and Vance is as well. Every extra day is one year of no political donations. Do it now. USMC, retired. Will not vote for GOP ever for the rest of my life, no matter who else is running. You all have ruined the country. Traitors you are.
Only USMC approved goods are exempt from tariffs (oversimplification). If goods aren’t grown or produced from scratch (mostly) in the country, then they definitely don’t comply with USMC (not a lawyer).
They already did that I served my time 2001-2004 USMC.
Crips vs Bloods? It doesn't matter how it's labeled it will be 2 different beliefs battling it out like the Battle of Fallujah. We will fight house to house in close combat. I'm prepared the USMC taught me well.
The one thing 🥭can do for the market would be to cancel the auto tariffs on Canada and Mexico (they can keep them for other countries) cause those auto tariffs are gonna cause huge inflation on a major US purchase and it applies to parts too so even a car built in the US could have a significant cost increase. Not only that it would hurt sales of the US car companies in Canada and Mexico which are the major foreign markets for them. Then look at the number of cars sold in each country vs production and if there are discrepancies negotiate fairness in the USMC renegotiation. Give the bulls a crumb so they can try and hold up the markets.
>After demanding we change the one that lasted for 30 years. Didn't NAFTA just expire and thus we got the USMC?
He is mad about the USMC trade agreement, which as he said himself was negotiated by a dumb past administration (himself, that’s who it was…) and broke the law by violating it. Now retaliatory tariffs are being imposed and the world is watching in real time as the US economy accelerates into a depression as a direct result of his action. Meanwhile the free speech has been censored, your media does not report anything correctly, it’s funny watching world news outlets then cross referencing US (Super Bowl was a prime example when in the US is was canned cheers for Cheeto, it was actually boos hahaha) and as a result most can’t see it coming because it’s not allowed to be visible. Anyways, thoughts and tariffs!
There are more planned tarrifs then there were back then. They also renegotiated the NAFTA/USMC.
USMC vet here. I’d say it’s a 70-30 split favoring those that wouldn’t do it. Remember military personnel are just regular folks and a lot of them are in the 🥭 cult too. If we actually did it would be the stupidest foreign policy ever, and it wouldn’t even be close. I’m just worried he’ll try to do something like this when the writing’s on the wall that the economy is going to be to tank 30-40 percent.
If you ask anyone who sells during downpours, they will all admit what a mistake it was. The probability of you losing everything is less than 1%. Obviously, horizon matters (retirement, future plans) but the market will always rebound. Always. And while every stock may not return to its previous price within 1 year.. or 2 years, etc.. your portfolio will as a whole rebound in the end. My father in law had $675k in his TSP back in 2008. It dropped to 185k. Do you think he was nervous? Scared? Of course he was. Everyone was saying to pull out as every second that passed, it kept dropping. He just retired this year after 20 years in the USMC and 25 years in the federal government and his TSP holds a 1.9 million dollar value. Don’t ever sell on the dips.
🥭 is not doing this for drugs coming across the border, he’s trying (miserably) to force a new USMC trade deal. Hard to negotiate on these things when you burn all bridges with them
It is going to change its name to USMC and go the way of Toshiba if it isn't careful.
I am an honorably, medically discharged (injuries sustained in the line of duty), USMC veteran. Did five tours. This whole thing has got me heaving with disgust, anger, frustration. I am sorry but America will never be "great" under this administration. Never. Greatness requires, demands, that leadership does the utmost to walk the walk and live the talk. An ethical and moral compass shooting a clear and concise azimuth. The entire financial market will be at the whim of those at the elite levels of control. Just look at the crypto spike from yesterday from a few uttered words. Some made a ton on that. This is going to be a very interesting four years. I hope those that are struggling with their investments (including myself) find a way to use the "Force" somehow to find goal achievements less painful and more fruitful. I don't know, probably, any of you. But, if you are decent people trying to make some sort of a positive difference, you have my respect and appreciation.Be well, safe and as wise as possible.
Me thinks nvda is gonna finish the day green . Like the weeny the USMC used to eff me with every day
Did anybody notice the flags behind the President today?? USMC and US Army
Whoever negotiated the USMC is a real bonehead.
A renegotiation of USMC at a grown-up table hammering out all the irritants would have been the obvious thing to do. But sure, start a trade war instead I guess. Create a problem and then be the hero when you “fix” it.
If TSMC does take over the US intel factories, will they be called USMC or USSMC? Ill see myself out!
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-safety-canada/news/2024/12/the-government-of-canadas-border-plan-significant-investments-to-strengthen-border-security-and-our-immigration-system.html We were already implementing it. And unlike the US we didn't go against deals we made. Setting aside that Trump negotiated the USMC (the deal he's angry about), he is reneging on that deal. Not only that, after he promised to halt tariff talks for 30 days, less than a week later tariffs are back on. Not to mention threatening to annex us. Frankly whatever deals the US government makes at this point aren't worth the paper they are written on.
No chance. This isn't over. They're just getting started. They cancelled NAFTA2 (or USMC). That isn't going to get fixed on Monday. It seems clear he wants to hurt the USA as well as it's NATO allies, so I'm expecting a bloodbath
Nope, TSMC will be USMC soon because the AIT (de facto embassy in Taipei) has the names and addresses of all key TSMC personnel for Marines to evacuate when shit hits the fan and we'll leave China with nothing but nonfunctioning machines and nobody to operate them.
Imagine having only US products, you don’t like coffee, Irish whisky, cheap clothes from China? Sure you can have your apple chip designs but TSMC has Taiwan in it not USMC
The entire USMC as they took spring break there for a couple weeks.
Uncle Sam runs the bingo.-USMC VETERAN
death by powerpoint. oh how I don't miss the USMC
Ok so have you heard of the USMC? We are hiring
Harriers were jokingly called lawn darts in the USMC
You're preaching to the choir. I'm a USMC veteran with a Bad Conduct Discharge for marijuana and I spent 60 days in the base brig. Purdue pharma and the Sackler family have yet to do one day in a federal prison, yet alone a federal drug conviction. Frank Lucas shipped pure heroine into the US using military planes and personnel. The whole game is rigged.
Nope. Purple tastes best. USMC vet here. We're trained crayon sommelier's.
that's like saying, Im at USMC bootcamp where there's only 3 women around. Therefore many women don't exist
A lot of us served in the military (USMC), meaning we are not only well armed and psychotic, but we are well trained too. 🫠
Is it random conjecture time? 1. Harris narrowly wins the election among wide spread allegations of election irregularities and Chinese and Russian interference. 2. The governors of Guam and the Northern Marianas territories refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the Harris Administration and secede from the Union, forming the Free Republic of the Marianas. One of their key points is they refuse to let their island be used as a base for American power projection. 3. Leaders of Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran rush to recognize this new nation and vow to defend the sovereignty and right of free determination of this new democratic republic against imperialist American ambition. 4. Across Guam, scattered firefights break out between secessionist forces of the Guam National Guard, local police, and civilians versus USAF and USMC security forces, who are holding a small and shrinking Green Zone around Anderson AFB and Guam Navy Base. 5. President Harris orders the 9th Fleet to send a Naval Task Force to blockade the islands and prepare for an invasion. 6. With the US Pacific Fleet and air forces tied down, China masses forces across the Taiwan Strait for what it calls “exercises” of unprecedented scale. 7. North Korea opens up its strategic reserves of pork and rice and starts issuing double rations to its military.
Raytheon's operating margins are way too low currently. LMT operating margin is like 11-12%, RTX is 6%. You would need a good thesis for why their business would improve in the future to make it a good long term buy. Maybe there is (I don't know). Also Raytheon's missile looks ship-based, the ones I'm talking about are portable, land-based ones capable of hitting naval targets. Much easier to hide and deploy in forward positions. Houthis have been using them to great effect. USMC also wants to use them in their war against China I think (per-2019 ish article).
Don't listen to any hate, you're doing well starting young. Robinhood is fine to start with. I started trading while in the USMC 2005 at 18yo. Set it and forget it! Putting aside a percentage of every check and setting up auto buys is the way to go. Keep $ in companies you trust and are strong. Only play with volatility if you're cool losing the $ you put in. Looking for that "big hit" is exciting but in my opinion, not worth it. Good luck! Hope to hear in a few years you are killing it. 👍🏼
My experience, 11 years USMC infantry. He’s a patsy. History repeats itself. Open your kind
The only way Intel can succeed is China invading Taiwan and the U.S. destroying all TSMC factories and kidnapping their top engineers and technicians (like they did with top German scientists after WWII) and bringing them over here and assigning them to various Intel operations. It would also help if they change Intel's name too to something like USMC or INTDIA.
My uncle had a massive heart attack while serving in the USMC in Korea, survived but couldn’t do any strenuous work for The rest of His life, so somehow he figured that being a day trader in the 80s was less strenuous. He had 3 phone lines, one where the receiver sat in a cradle like holder and transmitted quotes to his computer. He invested and controlled the money for our entire family of which he and my dad were 2 of 11 siblings. When I was 13 I remember going to his house after school that Friday in October and watching him try to get ahold of his brokers on the 2 phone lines that he used for calls without success. As I sat and watched with other members of our family my uncle never lost his cool just kept redialing over and over and then letting someone else dial over and over but he stayed calm even though some of my aunts and uncles were freaking out, and I remember him finally telling everyone that he was not going to waste more time continuing to call since no body was answering at any brokerage. He told those that were freaking out not to worry because he invested for the long term and that one day, week, month, or even year would have any real lasting impact on their portfolios. And like you pointed out, the market finished the year up a couple percent. Two of my cousins and myself Who were there watching him that day as well as many other days, went on to have careers in finance, one as a broker, one a trader on the CBOT/CME in the treasury pits, and I went into investment banking with CSFB before moving into private equity and then into construction. People always ask why I got out of the financial Markets to become a small business owner and it boils down to a job interview at AMEX when they were trying to expand their reach into the markets…after my interview I was walking out and just happened to pass by a room filled with 20-30 young people in a group “interview” to become brokers and the man speaking to them asked…can you tell me why when I’m driving home between 530-630pm car lots are still open even though the finance companies are already closed for the day? And he answered his own question with “because thats when the people who think they have money are off work and have time to buy cars.” He then Continued “but those who ACTUALLY have money had the cars they were interested in brought to them at their home or office so they didn’t have to waste their time, because they are wealthy. And to become wealthy you have to create work, not just do work, but create work for others to do as well.” It took me a couple years to start my business but it has been a really rewarding experience, to be able to put people to work, see jobs get completed and see what can be accomplished when people put their efforts into a project. I’m still not wealthy as he said I would be but I’m working on it, and I think it all goes back to Black Friday.
I did USMC. Saw the world. But variety is the spice of communities.
To further back you up on this point: Let's remember the flight of the ~~bumblebee~~ F-35. The project was unique because it was a joint effort between Lockheed and Boeing. The total cost was just shy of 2 billion bucks. The project started off promising **80% compatibility** of aircraft parts between the 3 versions of the bird (USMC, USN, and USAF all got their own version.) When the jets hit the fleet, this number had dropped to under **20% compatibility.** On top of this, all of the F-35 projects were heavily delayed (**average delay of 5 years**), due to issues with Boeing and LM not being willing to play nice. The DoD made a similar mistake with the MRAPs during the Iraq war. Long story short: they needed MRAPs so badly that they let anyone make their parts, and overplayed like crazy. The logistical issues were constant and deadly. A LOT of Marines and Soldiers died over this fuck-up. tl;dr The US government understands that picking one king is more efficent than a few princes. Source: Was part of an F-35 unit and deployed to the sandbox.
Anti America Bear doomers rooting for higher unemployment get their nuts stepped on once again. I guess the only question now is if they prefer a sultry high heel, or the rugged dependability of a Bates USMC boot.
The USMC will pay for their college
Then we will take our national borders to space. USMC will ensure interplanetary us hegemony and spice trade risk minimisation.
Have fun dealing with your CCP overlords when they decimate manufacturing jobs in the USMC trade pact
I don't think you know how the USMC works.
USMC BDAY and stonks only go up
USMC bootcamp 3 to a urinal
Crayons are the preferred snack food of the USMC.
I enlisted USMC in 2009 ready to go get dirty. Was honorably discharged 2010 didn’t have to do anything crazy.
If I find the f35 will the USMC give me a couple dollars for my options addiction?
As a USMC vet he is the most disappointing... his gerrymandered district is also a top 5 worst abuses of power slide deck.
Great encouragement, Semper Fi Devil Dog. USMC 1988-1992
proceeds should go to WSB losers, or at least a portion (disclosure: USMC 1985-89); "THIS is my rifle; this is my gun; this ONE’S for shooting this one's for fun."
Good buddy of mine is USMC, I understand this comment
Lol.., yeah “runaway military spending” is the problem. There’s more federal agents with military style weapons than the USMC…big government is the problem 😂
Can I get a stock quote on USMC?
I've got some USMC friends.
Being in El Paso I've met a few young guys in the Army, omg it's so cringe when your whole personality revolves around your service. I was USMC and even I wasn't that cringe at 19 years old
Add: debt control, natural resources, global proximity advantage for USMC, restructuring their economy to include a US-backed central banking system.
The crayon collection of the USMC was a nice touch.
r/USMC shout out to the homies
Well, as a USMC vet you can be certain that he was sure after seeing all them 🅿️🅿️
