Peltz trying to take Wendy's private makes a lot of sense — the stock has been chronically undervalued as a public company and Trian has done this playbook before. The real question is whether the price is right for shareholders or if this is Peltz getting the deal of the century after years of keeping a lid on execution. 12% pop on the news is almost certainly not the ceiling if this goes forward. Been watching WEN on MarketCast — it was dead money for so long that this kind of catalyst move is exactly what it needed. Anyone loading the dip if it gives one back, or chasing here?
