I have a process to elimate less likely ones and make my own thesis. It isn't completely all luck, although luck is certainly a part of it. One failure was DBI - Don't buy Inu. I thought it was a cool concept in which a character called The Dev makes videos about 'honor in crypto'. I am 75% down on it, but who knows. This kind of meme coin that takes the mickey out of other meme coins might catch on, so I hold.
I’ve got some DBI (Don’t Buy Inu). I like The Dev’s skits. I think there’s some potential. I have WHACKD too, which was one John McAfee created. I didn’t load the boat, but I’ve seen a few hundred bucks that I was willing to lose go to a few tens of thousands of bucks before.

Planned/forced memes don't tend to work. Usually the opposite of the intended effect happens when it comes to memes, almost as though it's in spite. Doge for example was created as a criticism for crypto and it blew up, almost as though it was doing so in spite of its original intention. Shib on the other hand has the label of meme coin but wasn't created as one (say what you want, its actually got a roadmap and has some uses and an ecosystem). Same thing with APE though we don't yet know how that would perform in a bull market as it was released just as the bear hit. In all the cases of a meme coin being successful it did so organically. If the team behind DBI is planting viral videos I don't think it will succeed because of this, or it's unlikely to do as well as SHIB did. Basically, forced memes don't tend to succeed.

None of “The Dev” videos on YouTube have more than 700 views, majority of them not even passing 100 views. I’m assuming most of the interest must come from Twitter, which is somewhat active as the #DBI is utilized frequently, doesn’t look too good. Still, with a memecoin all you need is a big name to mention it one time and price pumps.
So if we use the inverse r/cc rule, doesn’t that mean we should buy DBI in copious amounts?
