There’s a coin called DOGE based on an internet meme of a Shiba Inu that has a $25B market cap. It is not a blockchain, just a token on the Ethereum blockchain. I mention this because it interests me that people get confused about Solana, which is at least its own (albeit very shitty) blockchain, but no one bats an eye about DOGE. Or DOGWIFHAT. Or BONK. Just want to make sure everyone is aware of these. May help clear up how people make decisions as to where they put their money.

It’s hilarious because people want memes to be the #1 thing talked about because “pump and dump fun” then wonder why the general public doesn’t trust it or want to put their money in it. Like, Yeah! Let’s put 40 years of hard earned money into dog coin! Oh wait, that’s not the cool one anymore? Solama! No? Pepe! Wait wait, I’ll find the *cool* one eventually. *Maybe* it’s DOGWIFHAT. This community is a **joke** and yet some people are still wondering why we aren’t taken seriously.
Maybe a quarter of the people that buy crypto really learn about its fundamentals before buying. All the other people just want to make a shit ton of money. Thats why coins like DOGE, SHIB, PEPE and DOGWIFHAT exist. Also your comment about alts outperforming btc depends on your timespan. Since it's creation bitcoin went from about 0,001 to 70k usd. There's no altcoin that comes close to it's price increase. Short term you are correct though.
