Oh interesting. Do you have a link for the NFD feature? I thought that only applied to NFDs, not ASAs. [ARC-0012](https://arc.algorand.foundation/ARCs/arc-0012) was withdrawn. Asset inbox uses [ARC-59](https://arc.algorand.foundation/ARCs/arc-0059) and is more of a temporary custodian that holds onto them so that users can claim them later.
>In addition, every user has to spend an opt-in transaction for that ASA token and hold a minimum of 0.1 Algo balance per ASA token before it can receive the ASA. This severely limits the viral nature of memecoins and airdrops, which are often sent to random accounts or empty accounts on other networks. Not true anymore, actually. NFD domains let's users open their "vault" which essentially let's people send ASAs that weren't opted into if sent to a valid .algo address that's opened said vault. The vault is actuality a secondary connected wallet account. Also, Pera wallet just released their Asset Inbox: https://x.com/PeraAlgoWallet/status/1863640287307784695 Algorand now let's the scam spam flow now but let's it happen with significantly less risk than other chains.
unstoppable domains is mid at best NFD does this shit better then ENS
Algorand. ZoneFi for games. Tinyman for their Dex. Folks Finance for yield and liquid governance. Excited for the launch of ORA on algorand. NFD for their non-fungible domains and segments. Just had a user donate about 80 cents to my project from Japan. Left a note, the transaction arrived in 3 seconds from the other side of the world. These are the aspects that get me excited about crypto; a global community able to exchange value without a middle man and with instant finality (no pooling of funds like a venmo). I seriously have no idea how I could transact with someone on the other side of the world without crypto.
Algorand Standard Assets NFD's[NFDs](https://app.nf.domains/)
I know the support for ETH is impenetrable in this sub, unfortunately, but it would be incredible if we could ditch the ERC20 for an ASA. And use NFD's. I already know this thought is largely considered foolish blasphemy, but I'm doing my part by putting the thought out into the universe regardless of the inevitable rejection.
No one in the ecosystem used this anyway. NFD dominates this sector.
Yep, that was their entire purpose, issue .algo domains even though NFD were the issuers with partnerships and broad support, hoping people would FOMO in and buy their worthless junk;.
This isn't negative, ANS made the dirty move of issuing .algo domains when NFD had already announced their project and had the partnerships. They sold them over-priced with little to no utility and just created confusion in the marketplace with what was borderline worthless junk. It would be like some other company deciding to issue .eth domains in comeptition against ENS, they'd be worthless cashgrab garbage and people trying to send ETH to this domain on virtually any service would find their eth either when't nowhere cause everyone was resolving addresses using ENS, or it would go to the wrong person.
>Some users may be aware, but it is long believe that some projects employ paid shillers. Literally people that post information in a positive light consistently. It is my belief that Algorand is guilty of this. Please understand, that this is purely speculation and I have no evidence. I would be happy to point out specific users and link posts that I am adamant are paid advertising by Algorand. But out of respect to the subs rules, I will abstain - but if a Mod approves it, I have it ready to go there is a contract floating around for the "Ambassador" program where people get paid to shed positive light on the project. The amount is reflected in the "transparency report". Also people like Patrick Bennett (NFD project) runs a side Telegram chat on behalf of the Foundation and received funding for his project. its all documented there, Algorand Foundation is shady at best. the former CEO Steve Kokinos openly said Algorand had 13 millions users and 2 CBDCs would be launched in 2021 of which neither happened. they try to pump the price and at the same time sell ALGO as long as it doesn't move the market by more than 10% daily!!! crazy mandate.
There's a number of projects on different blockchains that allow you to purchase a web3 domain, anonymously, such as ENS on the Ethereum, Unstoppable Domains on Ethereum and Polygon, NFD on Algorand, etc. I don't know about all of them, but for sure the first two I mentioned already allow you to build your own censorship resistant webpages, whose ownership is verifiable (it's tied to the wallet that owns the domain). On Unstoppable Domains, you can optionally verify social media too (i.e. you perform a small task that proves that you control a given social media account, e.g. a Twitter handle, and get a "verified" badge, automatically and without the necessity of disclosing any additional info).
Opensea is a marketplace on a different network. We use our NFTs as avatars in gaming, raffle sites and digital identity across defi apps via NFD (Non-Fungible Domains)
The thing I don’t like about ENS is that you have to renew them. I got a Non Fungible Domain (NFD) on Algorand. They recently added the ability to link wallets from other chains to your NFD.
It's not hard to make crypto "easier to use", an example is algorand NFD's (NFTs that work as your crypto adress, so instead of a whole adress you can use "NFD.algo" to receive payments.)
You got an NFD? I'll drop you 10 Algo
I've been grabbing a few NFD domain names on algorand lately. Lot of good names still available as it's only been out a few months.
I'm addicted to buying them if I'm being honest. [NF.domains](https://NF.domains) is a sleeping giant. If Algorand takes off like I think it will, having a good NFD is going to be worth a fortune.
Ignorant people making ignorant statements… go add up all the VCs for Folks Finance, Algofi, Humbleswap, NFD Do you think the VC list will just be borderless capital?
Just bought a NFD from Algorand! 8 letter domain cost only 90Algo! A 4 letter one was going for under 300 last I checked!
>When I buy an NFD, do I own it forever? Yes. This is not a subscription service. Any NFD you buy belongs to you forever unless you decide to resell it on the secondary market.
Send back a dick pic and ask them to make it into an NFT. But call it an NFD
Most likely! Its alot easier to trade with Jerry.algo versus HSVSHH75JHG-JUYBB;B. Nexus already has our NFD reserved.
OP this is why you should take a look into the NFD project on the Algorand chain. Imagine having your name as your address, all your nfts etc all stores within that. That’s sort of what there trying to do, and have it so other chains can be linked to it Sounds really promising and would solve a lot of problems
Avalanche mostly, and NFD and Star Atlas.
NFD. Path’s fractionalized art project. Amazing community, I believe this will go big.
Floki inu. Use 2m on advertisements every month. Maybe NFD which is made by a popular ct guy
