Why will you buy more BTC? I think pretty much everyone here is here because they expect the approval to come through on Jan 10th. So If you and me and the rest of us already bought the market, I'm wondering who do you expect will be buying BTC next month? The few that are on the fence? Grayscale already has all the BTC in their trust account and there is actual talk about a need to liquidate some of that before its ETFs product is ready. Blackrock and ARC own BTC miners and big part of Coinbase so they won't be buying in the open market. Many bought the news and are planning to sell the approval date. Could you tell me please, who do you expect to just flood into the market next month. I'm curious. I expect a volitatle day or two afterwards just like any other big event but the idea of just market going parabolic from next month seems to be more based on a hunch or hopes then actual data.

Personally, I think you’re look at this all wrong and fixating on ATH and it’s a very poor metric to use by itself. I’m not being critical or trying start an argument, but I hear what you say from so many others. It’s actually a different mindset we have in regard to an investment strategy, which can also include wild gambling. I believe anything above 100% returns in 2/3 years is good and beats virtually anything else you can get. 2/3X is very good, 5-10X is super and anything above that is awesome! In terms of “older” projects, it the same philosophy, look for sound projects, in 2021 I bought ARC & GLM. Both projects that had been through it before, they did very well for me, I sold near the top, excellent returns. Since then I bought some more GLM at a much lower price, today I’m 3X+ and it’ll give me more profit before I sell again. The good thing about these kind of older projects, is that they’ve done it before and for me that means less risk. Yes, highly probable less profits but still very good and it helps bring stability to my portfolio. As you say, we don’t know what each other holds, prefers but I feel to many people discount opportunities as easy throw away mantra, they won’t reach previous ATH, older project never do well or as well in their second/third Bull market, etc. Some of us only go for one coin, others have a huge amount, people get emotional about the coins/projects they buy. They want to tell everyone they’re wrong if not doing what they are doing, we all have different strategies, goals and ways to get there. Mine is only right for me, I’ve numerous coins but I’m able to keep track of them. It’s something I enjoy, others want to buy and forget, I don’t post as original giving advice or telling the Reddit world they’re doing it wrong! But, certainly do reply to many with counter comments/arguments/opinion, I think it’s a great way to learn. Listening, getting ideas, learning something new or I hadn’t thought of helps me to understand more and more. I’m no expert, I don’t want you to change, if it’s right for you, perfect 👍. However, for everyone else reading this thread, at least there are differing views and perspectives that they can mull over. Somewhere along the journey, we all of course want to buy that 1000+% coin. Plus, we all want to avoid buying the rug pull or having our coins somewhere like FTX, good luck on your journey 😊

I don’t necessarily see them as a bad thing, they have some interesting use cases and make new L2s like ARC more feasible to implement. Should they get adopted into the Bitcoin protocol, no one is forcing you to use them. They may end up permanently locking up some bitcoin, but that already happens everyday when people lose their keys. Just makes my Bitcoin more scarce.

It would be very childish to push it back just because they lost in an unrelated matter. I would hope that if there is a delay, it would be for a real reason actually related to the application of ARC's Bitcoin ETF.

It could either approve deny or just push this out, there is some speculation that maybe they are going to approve it right here on the 13th of August. I kind of doubt that now they had a real egg on face from the XRP decision. Gary wants to delay it as long as possible. So the 13th of August maybe they're going to push it back 30 or 90 days or something like that, maybe we'll see a dip after that. And that's an opportunity in my opinion.

I use ZFS to store the Bitcoin core blockchain and electrs indexes for my node that I not only connect to with my wallets but also some applications I've developed. If you can't use SSDs for your main storage, you could see some benefit by adding a fast L2ARC. The faster the better (NVMe at least, hopefully). I wouldn't bother with a separate SLOG because after the initial sync writes are relatively infrequent. I don't have advice on tweaks; the default properties work great for me.

When it comes to yield aggregators CURVE, SPOOL, and AAVE are good options but pretty much together as you said, I like ARC they offer some of the best APYs on the market.
