The issue is that DeFi apps are pretty much centered over those tokens. Fantom based SpookySwap went from almost 40 bucks per BOO to just over $1. Thats absolutely insane and frankly I worry how long they can keep operating.

spookyswap on fantom has good tokenomics for single staking (total amount of BOO is fixed).
I'm not gonna lie. I have part of my money on banks. Interest rate here is about 10%, but inflation is higher at 12%. It's possible to beat inflation with a government bond that pays inflation + 6%, but this is nothing when compared to defi. I have EURx staked on Nexo and USDC on Crypto (10% - 14%). I'm also on busd lending on Kalmar (22%+) and staking BOO on Spooky. I'm just getting started. What busd pairs are you using?
You're right, I did the following myself: \- Borrowed USDC at 10% (with some staked KAE) \- Swapped USDC for FTM \- Provided FTM/KAE liquidity \- Staked LP tokens for BOO ​ In the end I only pay back the 10%, but I will receive KAE tokens in the value of that 10% interest. It may seem weird but it really works.

I delegated some ADA in Yoroi. Some ONE on Harmony wallet. LPing FTM-BOO in SpookySwap. Some ALGO in Yieldly. Also some USDC in PoolTogether. But I don't feel like it's enough. There could be better DeFi I think I still need to find out. I still have a few MATIC on wallet. The thing is my lines spread too thin around $100 each. So, I couldn't see a visible growth. Some of above options mentioned Cosmos. I am thinking to try it. But with such $100 investment, could that be the same as above I did with other DeFi projects? Honestly, all this because I think I am trying to make a passive income out of each to make a steady income. Idk I'm not sure wtf I'm hoping xD
Agreed. There are too many meme coins & scams. That said, crypto has diversified since 2018 with defi, established alt L1s (with tokens from their ecosystems e.g. FTM & BOO token), L2s, DAOs...etc. There is room for a lot but please god, a purge is needed.
I have nothing but praise for BEETS. They have a pool for everyone’s needs basically, and their FTM-BEETS pool has 1.5x my initial investment in a week. I’m a big fan of BOO as well because it’s easy to use, friendly, supports a ton of coins, and it’s cute as fuck. It’s also a lynchpin of the ecosystem, so big fan of theirs. I still need to look into tarot though!

Survived another harsh winter and Spring is about to Bloom. yes, there are simple staking options - sell your FTM for BOO and stake that, then take that staked BOO (now called xBOO) and then stake that for another like 50% APR. Personally what I do in these cases is transfer my loss to a coin that have much more potential and is down from it’s ath by a lot. Recently I was down on a shitcoin I bought for some reason, I transferred my loss on BOO (dex on FTM) because I knew it moves fast when FTM moves. I recovered my loss pretty quickly. You don’t have to go small cap like I did, with the market down, a mid cap like SOL, AVAX or FTM will recover at some point
altcoin-stablecoin is kind of a guaranteed IL. you should do more research on IL since this question you asled is one of the most basic things. supposedly the stablecoin stays pegged to 1$ so the only variable will be the altcoin. any price movement of the altcoin will cause IL. i ll give a personal example, lets say the FTM-BOO pool is kinda "safe"(huge word to use here), since boo is part of the ftm ecosystem and historically their priced kind of correlated and moved together

I put in a certain number of coins. Upon withdrawing, I had less coins. I was basically just robbed because the coin went up in value against a stablecoin. Better advice would be to put it in a liquidity pair in which both assets have correlations and have the potential to increase in value. Like FTM BOO for example. The mistake was pairing anything besides a stablecoin with another stablecoin

I personally only own SpookySwap's BOO, LQDR, and TOMB at the moment. You might want to look at TAROT as it's still a long way off from its ATH.
I think UniSwap v3 kinda sucks and Sushi is in limbo while they sort things out. Meanwhile Curve v2 (ability to pair any assets) set DeFi on fire. There’s a void that Curve can’t fill alone though. People are currently looking to UniSwap v2 forks (2 equally allocated assets) on alt chains (BOO, JOE, CAKE, etc…) for more profitable LPs. Balancer allows for more than two assets and weights outside of 50/50…it’s just far more advanced and 3rd party devs can do way cooler stuff with the LPs. I say it’s being overlooked because right now BAL is #336 in market cap, but just using TVL and volume as metrics it belongs in the top 50-100 range next to SUSHI, CVX, CRV, SPELL,YFI, MKR and the DeFi superpowers.
