it doesn't have to be custodial. HTLCs enable this. the most popular non-custodial wrapped bitcoin is TBTC. you just have to decide if you are more afraid of counterparty risk or smart contract risk.
Sounds like you're having a bit of a mix-up. When you click 'receive' in your Blockchain wallet, you should be able to select 'Bitcoin' from the dropdown menu. If you're seeing other types of BTC like TBTC, EBTC, etc., those are different types of tokens pegged to Bitcoin, but they're not the actual Bitcoin. Make sure you're in the right section of your wallet. If you're still having trouble, it might be worth reaching out to Blockchain's support for help.
Maybe Tether is expecting the trillion dollar coin to mint TBTC Next? /s “hopefully”
Use testnet bitcoin. Every hardware wallet supports it. Shoot me a TBTC address and I'll send you some.
Testnet btc (TBTC) exist just for that purpose and it is free. Look it up.
Multi-sig with Electrum: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/creating-a-multisig-wallet/ https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/multisig.html You can test it with Testnet (as opposed to Mainnet, which is the regular Bitcoin). Run Electrum in Testnet mode: `"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electrum\electrum-3.3.8.exe" --testnet` Get free Testnet coins: https://support.keys.casa/hc/en-us/articles/360047997611-Testnet-Bitcoin-TBTC-
Of course, it is. Bitcoins on testnet are called TBTC. You can read more about it here: https://developer.bitcoin.org/examples/testing.html If you want some TBTC you can get it here: https://bitcoinfaucet.uo1.net/
>FX, JASMY, TBTC and WCFG are not yet available on Coinbase.com or via our Consumer mobile apps. We will make a separate announcement if and when this support is added. just noticed in that link from earlier so you'll have to do through the main website on desktop for now looks like
Nucypher and Keep networks are partnering together to develop a trustless TBTC token. Sounds like that should solve the issue.
I'm starting to get into DEFI abit more there are some crazy yeilds out there if you look my best one atm is BTCST on the Binance chain staking it and earning 400% apy payed in TBTC its crazy getting hundreds of dollars a day. Might do some research into liquidity providing next i feel we have plenty of time left this bullrun as it gets closer to overvalued ill probably stick with trading /holding but thats ages away imo.
