So was ASTS a miss or did it beat earnings?
What actually happened with ASTS? It was volatile as fuck into AH before the earnings were even announced. Then they were announced, and it went up. Then the call happened, and it was fairly stable, then I stopped listening because I'd sold anyway, then I check back and it has nose-dived off a cliffe. Was it something they said on the call? I can't think what else it would be since the numbers had already been published. Curious as I'll buy back in and hold long term if it keeps dropping tomorrow.
ASTS going to dilute five percent, in case you're wondering about the drop
ASTS actual business starts in 2026, till then they're just racking up debt and launching stuff People playing earnings didn't get that I guess

Just go along for the ride, that’s what everyone else is doing. If you want to be safe then buy index funds. Besides that, fuck it. I’ve been seeing people saying PLTR is way overvalued right now, and the stock is still doing great (I don’t own any shares of PLTR). I made a lot on ASTS last year (bought in at around $3, sold when it hit $40), and they hadn’t even turned a profit and I think deployed only a few satellites. Same with RKLB. Don’t gamble with your retirement accounts though.
Lets bring back the wsb stocks! BBAI, LUNR, ASTS, RKLB, WOLF, RCAT all at good values!
Should I hold these ASTS calls through earnings?
Only non biotech stock I own is ASTS. Praying this turns into a PLTR
Hmm, should I sell ASTS OTM weekly covered calls to capitalize on high IV before their earnings? Or nah?
RKLB, ASTS, Qwant IPO, PLTR used to be emerging, Crowdstrike. There’s opportunities out there definitely.
You don't play ER much, do you? NICE, DOCS, IBTA, ONON, BOOT, LUNR, ASTS, CAVA, BIRK, etc. https://preview.redd.it/u5pd1zd8c80f1.png?width=1496&format=png&auto=webp&s=55670fa3c2cd225ad9d865863a7d9ad379367a71
Guess I'll be selling more CSPs on SMCI this week. CCs on ASTS or RKLB or both....we will see how things play out. Probably won't do anything with ASTS until they release earnings after close tomorrow though.

Thoughts on calls for ONON and ASTS while puts on LUNR??
Ok so my reasons for being very cautious and doubting of them are: 1) revenue - what are the main revenue sources and why can't those customers or markets be addressed by fixed wireless? There aren't THAT many dead zones these days and where they do exist, how much revenue can they really generate? 2) satellite - they are proposing some of the largest sats ever flown, larger than the test sats that are currently in orbit. There is huge technical risk for these to be: controllable in terms of pointing and altitude, thermally stable with suitable radiator, able to operate at high duty cycle from power reasons etc 3) launch costs - SpaceX has a massive advantage being vertically integrated and paying 4-5x less than anyone else per pound launched to orbit. With capital costs making a HUGE difference in any ROI/NPV calculation, this makes the business case much much harder. And as to the meme stock part - I say that because the ASTS sub is full of people who truly have no idea what they are investing in. Go read many of the comments in threads and you'll see what I mean. People rely on catse, antman (or whatever his name is) etc to give them all the technical info and they blindly trust what they're hearing is correct. Also just look at how ASTS gets mentioned in tons of threads just like this one, that's why it seems to have meme stock value - lots of people on Reddit hoping it will 10x without reaaaally understanding the business or its risks.
Goldman Sachs bought 3 million new shares of ASTS and increased their position in ASTS by a whopping 3200% from last year.
Goldman Sachs just disclosed that they bought \~3 million new shares of ASTS for \~$68 million! [https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/886982/000076999325000253/xslForm13F\_X02/Infotable2025Final.xml](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/886982/000076999325000253/xslForm13F_X02/Infotable2025Final.xml) They increased their holdings of ASTS by a whopping 3200% from Q1 2024 TO Q1 2025, which is bullish AF! Buy before earnings. Your future selves will thank you....
Service providers "signing" a letter of intent means nothing, what contracts does ASTS have? What are the specific terms for how they will generate revenue? No one knows! I wish you well but please do some serious research, ASTS is the biggest meme stock on Reddit at this point. Just look at the downvotes on my comments for proof. It's severe groupthink, be careful.
They are well ahead because they have revenue. ASTS is in a very precarious situation where they need MASSIVE capital outlays to really generate money. And they have to pay 4x more for launch services vs SpaceX, that's a huge disadvantage.
Tell me you know nothing about ASTS without telling me.
ASTS. I’m 920 shares in and extremely bullish on the company. I bought some shares around $2.50 but purchased a majority around the $16-17 range.
ASTS changed earnings date??
I'm personally invested and believe in the company. But just wanted to point out that this entire reasoning sounds quite similar to AMD. Top 2 ai hardware company in the world, has the hardware to lead the ai inference market. Multiple revenue streams with people repeatedly mentioning the company's "potential". But, for now, we know what's been happening with AMD as #2. My only fear is that what AMD is to NVDA, RKLB is to ASTS or some other unknown player.
I worry about ASTS and LUNR calls bringing RKLB down more. There won’t be much revenue in either and for whatever reason the pre revenue companies not announcing huge revenue seems to cause a downturn.
I personally don’t understand the long term potential high revenue benefits , I feel right now is just too speculative. At least with something like ASTS I understand the X to Y to Z of potential future revenue . RKLB is too boom or bust for me I guess
ASTS was my best trade last year and it feels good to be buying back in around now
ASTS earnings thoughts? Calls way too expensive, I bought shares in 401k. Also bought tons of SDRL shares - look at the action on VAL, NE, and TDW this week post earnings. Calls were pretty cheap too. June 20 $20c were 4.40 when the stock was at 23.95. Won’t be a 10 bagger though
ASTS with regard strength. Anyone know if there's large calls opened recently?
Damn you’re gonna hate getting rid of ASTS but rocketlab will be fine in the long run
Whats the latest Scoop on ASTS? Huge jump in stock from April 30 to now...
You're not high on ASTS?
ASTS and LUNR earnings next week. Please pump so I can unload these bags
ASTS too ez Calls. Military discussion got leaked on ASTS youtube and taken down after

ASTS wants to go crazy
And what do you think about ASTS? It doesnt do anything. I bought some stocks. Sell?
add HOOD / RDDT / ASTS
Sorry, $58M is outdated as they did draw another $25M in Q1 as part of an equipment financing agreement. Besides that, their remaining interest-bearing debt comes from a 2024 $355M convertible note raise, which I chose to gloss over as ASTS similarly raised $460M of convertible debt back in January, making them actually more indebted than RKLB (and that's before potentially another $550M of debt if the Ligado deal goes through) Clearly neither company is risk or debt-free, but I'd argue your comment above about funding risk, things going perfect, dilution, etc. applies more to ASTS at the moment than RKLB. One would hope the reward for going all-in on D2D makes up for it but that's still very much TBD as the market continues to develop and production/launch targets inevitably shift to the right.
You are buying penny stocks.. most of them will tank. But in long enough horizon you will hit a few winners eventually. You can increase the hit rate by trying to focus alittle and at least learn about what they do and their markets. Not a lot just enough to be dangerous in a conversation. Learn about valuations etc. Like I said though, penny stocks. Most of them will end of worthless. A very small fraction will moon- eg ASTS
> They also have significant amount of debt already It's $58M, I think they'll survive. At the moment both RKLB and ASTS have a few hundred $M in convertible notes so on that front it's a wash. > Everything needs to go perfect for them for years and years or there will be a lot more dilution Odd framing here. RKLB shares outstanding increased by ~12% since de-SPAC, while ASTS increased by ~64% in a similar timeframe, yet you seem more concerned about the former having to "dilute a lot more" even as they continue to execute on the stated strategy of offsetting their highest spend item (Neutron dev) by increasing revenue & margins in multiple separate lines of business. Meanwhile the latter is just starting to embark on a massive multi-year capex/opex adventure as they work to scale constellation production & deployment with a just as (if not more) uncertain timeline to profitability in a nascent market. Before you say "muh imminent breakeven at 20-25 sats", do recall the company originally projected $2.56B EBITDA in 2025 with 168 birds in the air, yet will probably only see low 8-digit revenue this year on a handful of sats. What I'm getting at is there's historically been a chasm between the numbers and timelines ASTS management throws out and what actually materializes in reality, yet for some reason its investor community likes to sneer at companies actually being realistic about themselves.
all in for $ASTS earnings. surely *somebody* is making money launching shit into space
I love space stocks and will enter again in the next 6 months but buying them around earnings is tough and I always worry about them announcing some form of dilution during their calls. I could see both LUNR and ASTS looking to raise more money this year.
🥺i cant wait. Bought RKLB and ASTS today at ATH
Omg RKLB & ASTS gonna hopefully fly
Im so glad most of you seem to not know anything about ASTS. This means were early. That stock will go parabolic in a couple years if everything goes to plan
Have a feeling ASTS about to make a massive run up again
Launch isn't that important and is low margin business. Its why rklb will never have remotely close to the same operating margins as ASTS when the companies are mature. If ASTS was also rocket company I wouldn't be invested in it.
Bought some ASTS before the earnings.
Pussied out on nvidia like 10 different times. Time to yolo into some bs. Any high risk high reward stocks you like? ASTS?
Sold CSPs on SMCI and CCs on ASTS today. Gonna let those cook 🍳
