Diesel is non linear to produce from crude, and you need medium sour to get the best fraction of it. Diesel is embedded in everything from agriculture, construction, transportation. Inflation is terrible for borrowing rates, which is part of why the MOVE index is elevated and not yet “crushed”. Given that a lot of private credit deals are, you know, private, but investors generally get prime plus something on top; the prime coupon rate means it’s safer and more advantageous to just pour into boring bonds with less risk than stay in PC. PC is also having the AAA backed slices liquidated to cover early movers, leaving the remaining bag holders left with lower class bonds, Bs and BB. If ratings even mean anything in PC anymore anyway.

I think there's a few factors playing against puts right now. ASTS although no official statements is likely to launch BB7 on NG3 early April. The FCC SCS approval is a looming. Artemis launch hype still circulating as well as the SpaceX IPO is all drumming favor for space stocks. I mean the war is definitely dragging everything down but there are definitely catalysts keeping it up. It's hard to imagine there being a deeper floor then say maybe 79 with this stock but I could be wrong. Good luck on your puts the next few weeks will be interesting!

But the goal is HFT fund that accepts retail investors money and invests in HFT. This more for exploration, I am not looking to optimize returns but to have some fun money put into HFT and see how it works. And a question on bonds, If you buy 30 year US bond that is currently above 4.9%, does this mean if held till maturity, I will get back my principal as well as regular 4.9% coupon every year for 30 years. This seems like a very good deal for 30 years at risk free rate. i) What is the catch except for possibility of US defaulting on the loan? ii) Also, lets say for some emergency i might have to get back my principal, when i sell at that time, will i get back my principal or will its value be different from face value. iii) What is the tax treatment in US when a non citizen purchases such bonds on the monthly income and the principal at maturity. Thanks. I appreciate it. I've used AI to chat before and it helps a lot when I don't have time to do my research (Working full time). So my idea was to use latest market data, reddit, X, news analysis of any latest price action, use technical indicators (like BB, RSI, support/resistance) and give best setups on user's watchlists. Or just use the watchlist page to get an idea about the premiums and make more informed decisions. I typically use this to add CSPs when I am getting over 9-10% ROI over 30 days. That's a risk, for for my stocks, that's acceptable. It helps me quickly make these trades while I am at work.

The “insurance companies have 20% exposure to private credit” is false, to my knowledge. Life insurance, long-term annuities and other long duration assets match well with illiquid investments like PC. Those insurers might have up to 20%. I’ve read closer to 15% but either way, they have a ton of exposure. The total global insurance exposure is likely in or around ~5%. If you’re including CLOs in your tabulation, don’t. They’re very different things. 4. Financial institutions are typically low beta, and the odds of failure are very low for the “fortress” BB balance sheets. If you want to make a bet directionally towards your thesis find publicly traded issuers that have outstanding private credit and short them. If your 2008-adjacent scenario occurs, they will not be able to refi and the equity will become worthless.

The way I decide what to trade is largely IV/HV based as the first metric, so I end up 'selecting' for a ratio that's at least >1.05. It's hard to hold myself to that rule and sometimes I take a lower ratio if other things at least seem in my favor (for example, if I'm selling CC but the edge is a little under 1, that might be acceptable if the underlying is also near the top of the BB range). They are not consistent from week to week even on the same underlying, as the market sentiment varies a lot based on everything else going on with the company and the world. The thing with IV that I really don't think most traders are taking into account is the different way it is calculated compared to HV. Because HV is backward looking, it is normalized to a 252 day trading year, but IV is forward looking and because DTE is calendar days (not trading days) it is based on a 365 day year. So, even to be at 'fair' ratio IV/HV=1, you need to basically multiply HV by 1.2 (or multiply IV by sqrt(252/365). As far as I can tell, most retail traders are just looking at the IV on their broker and comparing it directly to the HV - assuming they compare the two at all.

I’m just as frustrated with the blatant lies being told on the launch schedule. You don’t delay launches 3 months because of a “stacking issue” that by the way was a known constraint - how else are you launching these satellites? Duh - they’re going to be stacked, duh you know the approx weight. I dont buy it. Maybe there was that issue but it wouldn’t take months to figure out. So tech we can’t sue them for that - there’s definitely something else going on. Meanwhile we keep getting diluted. I’m holding, as I have been, since $6 but the executional risk is screaming louder than ever. BB8-10 should have been shipped to SpaceX months ago. They’re either testing and tweaking based off of FM1 (BB6) data, there’s something wrong with the composite frames (remember BB8+ will be this lighter weight frame), or they’re trying to incorporate the ASIC into the BB8+. Could be something else but those are the logical issues I could come up with of why the whole constellation is held up - remember we were producing 6+ satellites a month since December per their statements. So if they produced 0 satellites up until that point we should still have 15+ to launch as of right now. Of course they were building them wayyy prior to that 6 per month claim so we should have 25-30 satellites one would imagine. And before anyone says anything yes I know they were VERY careful in saying 6 satellites worth of microns not actually built satellites. Which wtf? I don’t say we’re going to produce 10,000 engines for a car knowing full well I’m only pumping out 1,000 cars. Who the fuck cares how many of particular part you have built - microns are obviously NOT the bottleneck - so what is?

Without a BB terminal i dont have access to real time swaps data, but the latest credit spread update is still showing stress and rising. Its a lagging indicator but currently shows conflicting views with volatility coming in and markets moving higher. Oil is driving price right now and oil alone. As of right now the market does not care about credit risk and if history rhymes, they wont care until something breaks. Absent a material deterioration in credit risk and soon, I think the market could turn its attention away from the war and oil in the coming week or 2.

First stock i ever brought was puregold canada right before covid hit @ 50c per share. Sold all of it a yr later for 2x gain. It was interesting because i was 100% sure we are going into lockdown and QEing & the company was at its final stage of development before production. People were laughing at me for preparing for black swan & buying gold mining as spot were quite low at 1200 2nd major purchase was GME, but at peak hype. Lost 50% of my portfolio. Believed it as there were a lot of research went into it. Learned quite a bit from this. Decide to never touch short squeeze ever again 3rd major purchase was BB a few years ago, as it was about to become profitable. QNX and their cybersecurity suite seemed quite interesting with potential. Ultimately realized the company is heavily shorted and the management is having a hard time increasing their profit. Sold at a slight loss a yr later Then it was rigetti. Brought at 50c again. Thought eventually there’ going to a quantum boom. Sold 6mo later when it hit $7. When i say eventually i didnt meant in 6mo lol, sold for quite a nice profit and will jump back in once it’ actually at a reasonable valuation. Currently invested heavily in PNG, FLT, ONDS, JAG & SLS since 1yr ago. Reason why i invested to these? Similar to puregold canada with covid. Felt there’ something major is happening since the start of trump’ 2nd term. Felt canada and the rest of the world will move away from US, and the war in Ukraine will popularize drones. Of course also because they are good companies. Lesson i learn from the past 7yrs. A good financial make a good company, but doesnt meant it would be a great investment for the short 1-2yr term, same with tech & IPs.
