ABBNY and SMERY, though SMERY has some oil under their belt too.
I goofed up with ABBNY. I sold after the spinoff announcement because it was spinning out what I got in it for. Reallocated the money. Good lesson for me on how a spinoff can turn into a high cash sale and boost the company more (since the rest of the business is doing well)
Great company! One my robotic plays basically. ABBNY has been on fire since spinning off their robotic division.
Industrials have been easy mode. Everybody snoozing on the easy industrials stonks. Siemens energy, Siemens, Wabtec, ABBNY, Airbus, big chill mode.
I'm feeling very smug having a recent heavy holding in ABBNY, and a large reserve in SGOV that I just sold today to buy up some MSFT and SAP. Make moves!
> ABBNY announced a great quarter this morning, I'm still kind of annoyed they sold robotics to Softbank instead of spinning it off. I'd wanted the spin off (and previous ABB spin-off of turbochargers w/Accelleron has certainly done very well.)
Yeah, I was digging into them a bit ago, since they sold off the robotics position. Need to look more into quarter, but part of my plan this year has been trying to be more defensive and ABBNY falls into that category of just boring/slow growth. Like HTHIY is like the market leader for transformers, which has a big backlog and something that every body needs in order to hook to the grid. PRYMY bought a company i used to own and loved, WIRE. They have some interesting tailwinds with exposure to data centers, grid, and also submarines.
Moved some money over to some more international interesting industrials today. Finally pulled the trigger on HTHIY, PRYMY. ABBNY announced a great quarter this morning, got to dig a bit more into them, but market seems happy.
Top: FANUY, ABBNY, SIEGY and ROK Speculative: AMCI
Holding GOOG as AI leader. This year I'm heavy into automation and robotics: ROK: just holding (fairly overvalued right now) SIEGY: holding and buying ABBNY: holding and buying AMZN: holding and buying AMCI: buying like crazy
Master Card is completely Joseph. Amazon have been bullish except Bezos kept selling at 220. Bonus is ABBNY for automation and CVS for health.
Judging from earnings call questions, the bottleneck is neither chips nor electricity, but "powered shells", the step between construction of the structure and installation of the servers: the electrical equipment and connects the servers to the grid/generator, ensures power is uninterrupted, of the correct voltage, etc. Some plays on this theme are: PWR, ETN, VRT, IESC, FLR, ABBNY, HTHIY
Try ABBNY. I’m from Scandinavia, so I own the Swedish stock.
Not at this time. I did play earnings with some calls and that worked well. But I'm like you. Waiting for a pullback that hasn't come yet 😆 I'm currently in ABBNY - which is a related name.
In terms of things that are talked about little/not at all on here: CLPT. AUR. XMTR is potentially interesting *if* more industrial production is moved to the US. OUST (interesting example of a current OUST project: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GuHlPhjWoAAs7_U?format=jpg&name=large) PSNL is a tiny name that was thrown out post 2021 bubble that has a considerable partnership with TEM that has been expanded since the start. "Tempus is serving as the exclusive commercial diagnostic partner for Personalis’ ultra-sensitive tumor-informed MRD product, NeXT Personal® Dx, for broad patient adoption in breast and lung cancers, and for immunotherapy monitoring across all solid tumors." NET is up over 100% off the low and 63% YTD and nobody seems to talk about it on here anymore. ABBNY with it potentially spinning off its large robotics division next year.
Calls on ABBNY, FANUF, ROK, KUKAF 🤖
I've been thinking of buying ev related stocks and ABBNY looks like a good buy. Is this a good idea??
What do you think ABBNY is? Beta on i18n and SP500 is close to 1 anyway is multinationals.
Great portfolio. Where did you hear about ABBNY? Never heard of them before... What makes you pick that one?
Apparently ABBNY is delisted. https://global.abb/group/en/investors/nyse-delisting
