It's down 99% in 5 years because they halted construction 50% of the way. That set them back a lot which is why they lost almost all their value. Difference now is that they restarted construction and now they expect to be in operation by 2027. Receiving funding from governments is a sign of confidence and they also restructured most of their debt in October. This is also a pre revenue stock so not sure why dilution is a concern. If they are putting the money to good use by having it be used for construction or future projects then that's good. Faster timeline to production is always better. And off take agreement is an investment if LG hasn't rescinded the offer. If LG stayed with them for this long even after the 99% drop in value and construction halt then all I can say is they know more than you and I. Follow the money as they say. Also since Chinese tariffs on EV vehicles are being lowered that will also allow for Chinese EV companies to invest in Canadian EV auto industry where ELBM is set up to be a core EV battery manufacturer. Seems pretty bullish to me.
That's literally why they are board members. They are there to help the business (and to represent the interests of majority shareholders, in this case the admiral represents DoD). My guess, and it's just a guess, is that ELBM is basically being told what to do now by the DoD. And the DoD only cares about assembling a supply chain of critical minerals so they aren't beholden to China. This is ultimately an effort to support the military (but could support industry as well, obviously). The only real risk here, in my opinion, is that it's early days. All the critical mineral stocks have gone through the same process. They spiked, then crashed. Money road them up, then rotated out. The money will come back in, but who knows when.
Im personally thinking of buying now because I have the cash and I have a feeling it could jump up higher closer to end of construction so I dont want to risk that. Some people/bots treat it like a pump and dump in the short term because of that one anomalous spike that happened in october but besides that it has remained consistent. There is literally 0 news from now to production unless they get another contract established which I don't know if its possible at the moment. I personally dont go to the ELBM subreddit because its probably a bunch of bagholders from 5 years ago so I don't want their biased opinions. Thats why I'm here instead.

I am also hopeful, I invested back when the company was known as FCC, it's been a long journey but junior mining is a world wide epidemic not to mention the past 10 years has been shit. I think ELBM will turn a new leaf, it has a wild amount of support behind it. We do not see the big picture. Only what the media posts and inter Web research allows.

Detaching from relying on the Chinese controlled Democratic Republic of Congo for cobalt is very important to the US. I checked to see if it is true that ELBM's cobalt refinery would be the first and only one in North America and it is true. The fact that it is fully funded and permitted is huge. Imo. Love the possibility that there could be a short squeeze.

Dragonfly is actually a good buy, not a pump and dump. Them, and Archer Aviation(ACHR) are great commercial and defense holds. With DFLI granted a US patent for wireless batteries communications, which compliment Electra (ELBM), I can see a huge upside to Electra manufacturing the cores, and Dragonfly handling the processors and communications for upcoming drone surges with ACHR. Plus ELBM is also investing heavily into cobalt processing and recycling of all battery parts (lithium, cobalt, copper, nickel, etc). Sure, short squeeze, make some gains and exit, or long hold with 15k shares next to Vanguard Tech ETF (VT) and just forget about it for a few years, come back to a couple hundred thousand in the account.

I bought ELBM over the past couple of months, cost-averaging to 83.9 cents. When I saw $6+ the other day, I interrupted family vacation to find out what was going on. I sold half my holdings, and I'm glad I did! But even the half I kept is still at 3x+. And I have zero doubt this stock will surpass its recent high in the coming months.

My guy you forgot that ELBM is a long term hold. They don't finish construction until late 2026 early 2027. They had a 200% run up on monday so ofc there's gonna be heavy correction on a speculative stock like that.
