Crypterium is well elaborated Russia based scam. They have raised 52 million dollars back in 2017/18 and all ICO funds have been subsequently transferred to private pockets (stolen). They run an ICO on fraudulent ICOBox platform (search for Nick Evdokimov). One of many scams run on this platform was Insolar (exitscammed in 02/2021) They used fake escrow company Blockchain Law Group founded by fake blockchain lawyer (search for Katrina Arden aka Ekaterina Kovaleva). Funds from ICO contributors were sent from users´ ICO accounts to Freewallet (!!!) and then immediately from Freewallet to exchange. This is contrary to their statement that funds would be locked for a specific time period (with their fake escrow, lol). They dumped their bags the day after they were listed on first exchange (sHitBTC). This is contrary to their statement that company tokens would be locked for a specific time period. One of the co-founders was an advisor to scam Storiqa (Austin Kimm) and founder of CREX/GRAMEX scam. The real CEO is Viktor Gorbunov, founder of Cryptoindex scam. All key members already left this scam, one of the founders run away. The team is completely unknow so is their office address. They were fraudulently selling TON. They have stolen a lot of money from users who bought it on their platform. They constantly refuse to refund money debited to their previous UnionPay cards (both were terminated by issuers as they were not able to provide source of funds to banks. They constantly lie about finstats, numbers of users, turnover, partnerships (especially partnership with PayPal, yummy). They lie about partnership with Visa. They only resell 3rd party noname overpriced debit gift card. They even steal their colorfull articles and market analysis and pretend those are written by themselves. Their top-up mobile is nothing but a linked API only. Their 21% APY is a ponzi scheme. Their licences are not valid anymore (ended 10/2020). They claim their KYC provider is Jumio (never confirmed by Jumio) but their KYC process is nothing but a joke. Your datas ARE NOT SAFU with these crooks. They already sold users database to at least three other scams. They have a long history of lies, excuses, false promises. Their app is nothing but non-working crap (for $52M). They are part of organized group of criminals tied to russian Skolkovo inovation hub. "A cryptobank" with no real product and scam token with no utility. STAY AWAY! They will exitscam soon.

There are plenty of other exchanges other than Coinbase. Exchange listings cost money and/or time so the smaller projects seek out cheaper exchanges. Some of the ones I’m familiar with (but cannot vouch for the credibility of) are Kucoin, CREX24, STEX, Sato, and ProBit. All offer dozens to hundreds of coins, including some micro caps. You should be able to at least acquire the coins from these exchanges. But of course this is no guarantee against other types of exit scams.
