Call spreads on **$FLUX**. Avoiding **$EPM** as its options are ridiculously overpriced. I don't have conviction on FLUX, just think there's a bullish setup there. Also I want to play some earnings this week before rate cuts add another layer of f\*ckery to the system.

Now that the NBA playoffs bracket is set, *Dunks and Threes*' EPM-based simulations give the Wolves a slightly higher chance of making it out of the West than OKC. Largely the result of favorable match-ups. OKC's does stand to be to be kind of tough, especially if they end up with GSW in round 1. It's worth noting that OKC only lost 14 games this season, but 12 of them were against the West's 2-10 seeds. They definitely have to be the bonafide favorite to make it out of the West but I kind of maybe understand how Minneosta is viewed so favorably. Full top-5 odds for winning the finals according to these EPM simulations are: 1) Boston (12%) 2) Minnesota (11.4%?????) 3) Oklahoma City (11.1%) 4) Cleveland (9.9%) 5) Indiana (9.1%)

Reddit is not letting me respond with a decent comment about Prairie Operating Co. (NASDAQ: PROP). This company loses money every quarter. Buy EPM..they pay a 9% yearly dividend and are well managed. Will the stock go up 300% in a year? Probably not...but its gonna pay you 9% to invest is a solid small O&G company. If you believe AI is the wave of the future, then natural gas is going to be a driving source behind that power. And fortunately Trump is at the helm and will enable this critical infrastructure to be built out and used in a decent time frame. EPM benefits from this natural gas growth. Buy

The ALJ hearing judge is not throwing the DEA and SAM out of the hearing. "Here, because I have concluded that, at least based on the papers I have, there is insufficient basis to support such a conclusion, even if every fact alleged in the EPM were assumed arguendo to be accurate, no order to show cause will issue,”

> Thus, the Government defended against an allegation that was never actually leveled, and never dealt with the true gravamen of the factual allegations of the EPM. Stated differently, the Government responded to an allegation that it created, not the one that was in issue. Whoever authored this opinion is a rare good egg in law! This is an *extremely* common tactic, particularly from government and big law firms. They love to manipulate the allegation and warp it into something entirely different so that it can be truthfully denied; it's rare for the judge or other decisionmaker to take this seriously. Usually, they just take the denial at face value. Good signs for us.

Thanks for sharing. >**The Government’s response** (Government EPM Response or GEPMR) **to the Ex Parte Motion contains bold declarations** that the “DEA has not engaged in any ex parte communications” and that it “unequivocally denies any and all allegations of ex parte communications.” GEPMR at 3, 5. **Regrettably, these seemingly courageous proclamations are quickly all but eviscerated by the Government’s surprising qualification** that this proclamation of innocence extends only to the “DEA counsel of record”^3 at the time the GEPMR was filed, none of whom apparently had any contact with the matter at the time of the alleged ex parte communications. 4 Id. at 2. **Thus, the Government defended against an allegation that was never actually leveled, and never dealt with the true gravamen of the factual allegations of the EPM. Stated differently, the Government responded to an allegation that it created, not the one that was in issue**. >As discussed, supra, the applicable APA provisions are not so slender or lacking in common sense as to limit their applicability to a Government trial team who was never alleged to have made the communication in the first place. In its peculiar, semi-blanket denial, the Government did not happen to address staff members who actually may have made the purported communication, or those who may have been advising the Administrator at the time she was making decisions about whether there would be a rescheduling action, and who (if anyone) would sign the NPRM. The APA ex parte prohibitions are sufficiently robust to extend to any “employee who is or may reasonably be expected to be involved in the decisional process of the proceeding[s.]” 5 U.S.C. § 557(d)(1)(A)-(C). The applicable time period covers the earliest of when proceedings are noticed (here May 21, 2024) or when the communicator had knowledge that it would be noticed. Id. at § 557(d)(1)(E). It would be disingenuous to suggest that the decision to issue the NPRM was made on the date it was signed by the Attorney General, with no input from DEA, the subordinate agency that is the repository of all the authority to act under the Controlled Substances Act... >While the EPM may have weaknesses in this regard, there is likewise no indication in its GEPMR that the Government has made even the mildest attempt to ascertain the truth and disclose it to the public and this tribunal...

Taking out macro events (like Russia invasion last February/March) and looking pre Covid, gas prices almost never rise in January vs December. Go back 10 years, 2020 January to 2010 January and you will find no January with the price moving up as fast as it has this January. Price of all grades of conventional gasoline has gone from 3.203 12/26 to 3.594 1/30. 40 cent average jump.

Headline, and to some extent core, have been reliant on commodity prices coming down. That's not guaranteed to continue. In fact, I see a chance of a headline reversal in January. [https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=EMM\_EPM0\_PTE\_NUS\_DPG&f=W](https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=EMM_EPM0_PTE_NUS_DPG&f=W) Gasoline in nominal pricing could be as high or higher than January depending on averages. Seasonally adjusted it will almost certainly be higher in CPI since the seasonal adjustment expects the price to drop. Headline has relied tremendously on falling gasoline prices.

Nonsense. Absolute hornswoggle! As soon as Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 and the media jumped on the idea that this *might* affect gas prices and gas companies used that narrative as an opportunity to raise those prices dramatically when no one would blame them. [Here's a pair of charts showing both global production AND consumption of liquid fuels](https://www.eia.gov/outlooks/steo/report/global_oil.php) and you can plainly see there was no significant change to supply or demand during that whole time. Quit your bullshit. This inflation was started and driven by corporate greed.

I’m professionally attached to the industry in a way, but I will tell you this, despite a multi-decadal study of the industry, I am unable to reliably pick specific winners or losers. The industry is a low PE one, and there are really no superstars, particularly in higher market caps. If there is a bargain, look to micro-caps. Energy is primarily effected by macro economic things, then less so by asset based strategy, then lastly by even handed leadership. If you are looking for an undervalued stock, look for one that’s not well known (not PAA or XOM or etc, you are looking for sub 1bln cos) that has a low cost asset base, and steady management, whose valuation seems to lag behind its peers. Look closely at per barrel and per MCF costs and their production/ reserves ratio, FD costs, G/A per barrel, and of course leverage. This is production co advice, not midstream though. Midstream is a tough industry to call since they are making pennies on tens of dollars of transported value. It’s like trying to figure out which Amazon truck has the best ROI. The data is also dark since the locational differentials make all the difference and you have to pay a few thousands a year to get that data. I know this is a lot of non specific advice so I’ll give you my current view: 1. There is too much crude transportation in North America. Crude focused midstream is in for a rough run unless Russian oil is truly blockaded and the US turns on the pumps, which is an unlikely scenario. 2. There is, in the short term, an enourmous shortage of gas transportation and export capacity. I haven’t looked at the players valuation in this space, but it’s entirely possible that there’s a diamond in the rough here that explodes on Q1 earnings. SWN is a gas concentrated upstream co. I forget who owns Freeport LNG, but they might be a good play if they haven’t already run up. 3. Large caps attract political attention that small caps don’t. That’s all I have to say about that. 4. Investing in a commodity based industry whose product is at multi year highs is very risky. You need to have some convictions on the medium term view of that commodities price. I personally am not convinced that the oil/gas price will exit the year nearly so high as it is now, but if I could predict such things, I wouldn’t be posting it on Reddit. I’d be cruising my diamond coated yacht. Lastly I’ll leave you with three picks that hopefully won’t get me banned. EPM, SPH, and EGY. These are not high conviction endorsements, but I feel these, while exposed to commodity risk like the rest of the industry, might be a bit undervalued. Oil is a dangerous play though, IMHO. Don’t yolo. Do you own DD as it’s probable there’s better picks out there than these. Im personally out of energy because I don’t think the current price is sustainable and the geopolitical environment might collapse price wise.

Fuck me, DTGI is being mercilessly beat down today. I'll probably wait till after lunch and then buy even more. Empower is also getting beaten down despite tons of news about them getting things in order to get the clinics open and make some serious revenue going into next year. Still in: DTGI, TAST, EPWCF, EPM

Mentions:#TAST#EPM
r/pennystocksSee Comment

I always plug DTGI because their revenue has been exploding and they have made some great acquisitions lately and have hinted at maybe more. They are about to uplist to NASDAQ albeit there will be an RS involved. The marketplace for their services is exploding massively and they have a ton of customers. EPWCF is also positioned to grow exponentially long term as they begin opening healthcare clinics throughout Texas and selling covid tests through one of the biggest Canadian grocery store chains. There's also TAST and EPM, neither of which are true penny stocks but are under $5. TAST has over a thousand burger king's and a few Popeyes and have been temporarily beaten down due to food costs and debt elimination. EPM is an oil company that pays a dividend and they just expanded their proven reserves greatly.

Mentions:#RS#TAST#EPM
r/pennystocksSee Comment

DTGI maybe showing some signs of life, but it will probably be two weeks until the fireworks start. PQEFF remaining ever resilient in spite of all the weirdness going on, but its super hard to time when something big will actually happen there. Lot of smoke from mystery offers, but no fire yet, so it wants to dip. ABML needs to get that permit done this week. They literally can't afford any more delays. Sounds like they have already responded to a series of comments from the city. Just need to get it finalized. They should be able to start construction just as soon as it is approved. EPM just posted a PR saying their proven reserves are twice as big as originally thought. Oil is currently getting hammered back a bit, but could easily rebound just as quickly. Still think TAST is a great long term investment, but it continues to get hammered. Special div coming up with an ex-div date of 8/25

In percentage terms, it would have been when I was going through a pharmaceutical stock phase. I recall INFI was one. Lost maybe 60-75% I'm guessing? That loss was realized. Got to the point where the tax loss was worth more than the stock and I had little hope so I sold. In dollar terms, biggest paper loss was EPM stock I think. Gradually sold that one over time and collected a decent amount of dividends in the process. Overall loss, but much less than it would have been if I had sold at the low point. (That stock has since tanked even more than when I held it, so it could have been much worse if I didn't get out.) Currently, ABNB. Ouch. I'm holding.
