Fidelity FSDAX for Aero & Def, I am heavy in this inside my Roth IRA and Brokerage
5 stocks and 4 MF or ETFs My choices are FBCG,FSDAX, FXIAX,FSELX. Stocks, RKLB,ASTS, PL, LUNR,NBIS
What about FSDAX? It includes US defense companies as well.
FSDAX Always bet on war (or the likelihood of it).
FSDAX Always bet on war (or the likelihood of it).
FSDAX (ETF) Always bet on war (or preparation for it).
I always maintain a heavy presence in FSDAX. Always bet on war… or the pending threats of it. I’m 72, and this “thought” has been a mainstay of investment my whole life. Right behind standard Index.
War won't force me to sell. I'm more worried about seasonality rotations at end of July. Any war starting towards the end of July that involves US will likely lead to a long sell-off. My holdings: BRK.B, HOOD, COIN, IBIT, AMZN, COST, SOFI, FSDAX, PLTR
You can either care about it and try to avoid them or not care and invest anyway. I go with the latter. If you have a 401k or own a broad market etf/mutual fund, theres a good chance you either own Palantir or some other company you wouldn’t agree with anyway. I don’t like what social media has done to society but I’m going to profit off of it anyway. I don’t hold Meta or Google directly but I own them through funds like SCHG and FXAIX. War is hell but I own defense stocks through FSDAX. Smoking causes cancer but Altria pays dividends so I own it through SCHD. The purpose of being in the market is to make money. You can be a moralistic crusader if you want to but you’re missing out on returns.
That's the code for FSDAX, the Fidelity Select Defense and Aerospace Portfolio.
Invest your core portfolio in broad spectrum total market ETF/MF - 10% gambling money max into individual stocks/crypto. I own several of the stocks listed above, treat Ford like a bond. Instead of individual defense/aerospace stocks, invest in Defense ETF like FSDAX. I’m nowhere qualified to give financial advice- but making money is about not losing it first.
This has been a banger for me: FSDAX SELECT DEFENSE AND AEROSPACE PORTFOLIO Maybe more an investing, but it’s been on a https://preview.redd.it/ns2yqat94dsd1.jpeg?width=1124&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1cee5d8ede2af0df2620b4af612694783ba96ea
Taking my S&P500 holdings and converting about a 1/5 of it to cash to reivest when the market comes down - and transfering 1/4th of it into FSDAX (US Defense Manufacturers ETF) in preparation for Kamala Harris winning the election, solidifying another four years of funding wars and giving billions to Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed, GE, etc for bombs and planes. If ya can't beat em join em folks.
Ahhh that makes sense. Perfect. Additionally, I’ve changed my holdings a bit VOO: 23% FSDAX 14.3% APPLE 13 NVDA 11 QCOM 9.9 FELC 8.8 FDEV 7.1 FTEC 6.2 FDEM & FMDE 2 Shoudl I keep these larger holdings in Apple and NVDA still? Or would you recommend chucking them into VOO

Defense funds like FSDAX didn't really go up. Defense funds like FSDAX hold BA and GE as a large percentage of the fund - those stocks don't really correlate to military tensions in the world.
I have a 401k in the high $300's that has never gone over $400k in all the years I've had it. I'm 58, married w/ a son but dont have to pay for college. Thank god! My current return is 2.9% and lifetime return is 11%. Here is my question: what is the general opinion/consensus here about investing in defense/military funds during heighten times of crisis? My thought is there's been conflict somewhere in the world my entire life and a certain group of people have always profited from it. But from an investment point of view, if China and Taiwan get into it, and I toss $10,000 into FSDAX, am I really gonna make any additional gains?
you can trade options with ITA, PPA, XAR, FSDAX, FITE, MISL
It's expensive, but I own shares of FSDAX [(Net expense ratio: 0.75%)](https://fundresearch.fidelity.com/mutual-funds/summary/316390806).
FSDAX or buy the list holdings.
FSDAX - high cost fidelity mutual fund for space exploration
What the literal fuck happened to $FSDAX (Fidelitiy's defense fund)? How the fuck does a defense fund drop 9% in one day? Is there world peace now?
