Want guaranteed money? Himax ( $HIMX ) just announced ex-dividend date of June 30, 2022. Divvy payout is $1.25 per ADS on July 12 2022. Closed at $9.41 ADS on Friday, May 13, 2022. At $9.41 per ADS, one is looking at approximately a 13.3% payout for buying and holding for around 46 days. [I predict the closer we get to ex-dividend date and the longer one waits to buy shares, the price per ADS will go up.] Enjoy...
I hit on AMD and HIMX calls each purchased a few days prior to earnings.
I love HIMX. Saw a pretty good DD from some boomer in this sub, the long dated calls are ridiculously cheap for a company that's grown multiple hundred percent in revenue and earnings over the last two years. I got like 20 calls for next week
I am a total beginner, just getting my feet wet. 3 Albert Genius App Portfolios. 1 each - conservative, moderate, and high risk. All about 25% CCL 7% HIMX 7% SOFI 7% PINS 3% Also about 15% total of this account in a separate Acorns invest account. Haven't decided on a real brokerage yet.
For those of you ameripoors who can't even PDT () just put your entire port in HIMX $10 calls for 2023 and WAIT.
HIMX posted acceptable earnings today. Price still drops. (It's already below it's April 2020 price by more than 25% and the company is significantly larger and more profitable than then) Guess no one wants to own stock anymore.
I picked up HIMX and CROX after the bloodbath yesterday. I figured there will be other drops, so I'll pick up some more as they happen.
Bought HIMX calls for January
Dumped my HIMX shares for a loss today, puts made up for it though. Crazy to think we might drop even more today, AAPL close to -3%
Hmm maybe I should dump my HIMX for a small loss while I can
> Their rapid growth should be sustainable for a long time to come, as it is serving several fast-growing markets - TVs, smartphones, notebooks, tablets, automotive touchscreens, and virtual reality devices. I hold HIMX shares and also have some CSP. HIMX is not a growth stock. The revenue growth seen in 2020-2021 will not continue at those levels. Operating margins will decrease (per CEO). Some of the revenue growth will be sustained, but don't expect $0.60+/share earnings prints indefinitely. The other major catalyst, OP completed neglected, earnings is pre-marker on May 12th. They will be expected to announce their annual dividend payout by the end of the month as well. The annual dividend will be a potential catalyst. I expect it will be north of $1.00. All of this side, HIMX is undervalued today, but it's not without risk.
I thought you were talking about his diligence since his last post here was a total bomb. Im in for some HIMX though.
Can't wait for my 20% divvy payout on HIMX
HIMX - Himax semi conductors. Taiwan. Smaller company. Crazy cheap. Currently being shorted by a fund that suppressed the stock. Had a wsb pickup early 2022. NUTR - fertilizer company. It’s not super uncommon I guess but don’t see nutrien mentioned often. Eastern Europe / Russia make a lot of what is needed. Output is down. Paramount - movies. Tv. Streaming. Decently cheap. Has good content. Won’t make it itself. Will sell it off to someone else and merge in a buyout deal. In the meantime, movies etc rebounding should buoy the stock. Not super conviction but just a good pickup when cheap. Whole bunch other. Too tired now will maybe post later.
Agreed on comments. I am adding to my HIMX position, but I am not buying more INTC until I hear the Q2 earnings. If INTC Q2 earnings show revenue growth, I'll buy more shares.
Currently watching on HIMX. A rough screening shoes it is quite a good company.. but haven't had the time to go through its financials and company in full.
I mean at some point HIMX has to go up a p/e of 3,6 for a company that has a lot of growth potential kinda seems like a no brainer to me.
What do I do with HIMX?
I have small position of HIMX -18%. Find it intresting, but in 2009 their revenue was 692m and in 2019 672m. Only recently 2021 1.547b. So my though is have they not grown at all and stagnated from 2009 to 2019??
He compared both HIMX and TSMC to NVDA. HIMX is an idiotic comparison. TSMC is slightly better but comparing fab to fabless simply doesn't make any sense.
Imagine comparing HIMX and NVDA. Delusional. Also everybody loves to fearmonger, but a Chinese invasion is beyond unlikely. Also if it did happen, it would force a world war and you'd have much much bigger concerns than your investment.
Thoughts on HIMX? P/e is so low and the stock is down, also gives decent dividend. I don't know if the semiconductor industry is due for a downturn
While we’re here, what’s the consensus on HIMX?
THANK YOU FOR THE POST!!!! You would think HIMX would at a minimum be evaluated at a modest 15 P/E.
Yeah, in a nut shell, what they make isn't rocket science, and while they have a huge client base, it's historically low margin business. What the bulls will argue the broader market is missing in this equation, is that their product mix transition from smartphone to more tablet/large display (flat screen TV, curved TV, etc.) is a long term boom for margin expansion. It's what HIMX CEO says as well. That said, they tend to be in line with their own provided guidance. Current guidance is revenues and margins both dipping about 10% from the previous quarter (which was record setting). The question is, when does the revenue fall and margin contraction stop, and does HIMX have a new long term increased margin due to product segment transition. (Also, will some of these segments remain higher margin and how long until they are further commoditized). Time will tell.
~80% of HIMX production goes to China with ~20% to rest of world. Maybe 75/25ish, it's in the deck.
I expect earnings to drop as low as $0.50 if auto manufacturing doesn't pick up more. That said, largely agree with your assessment. Been holding awhile, traded some options on DivEx run up last year, etc. Feels like very safe near term money every time it's sub $10. Sure fair value could be argued at $25-30, but HIMX will need to demonstrate sustained earnings at these levels to garner that eventual re-valuation.
HIMX has no shot of getting capacity over any of those companies, but they also use older manufacturing nodes which are lower margin than leading edge 14nm+. I haven't done a deep dive on this company but I just don't see it until fab capacity shortage ends
For the MILLIONTH FUCKING TIME... HIMX is a goddamn FABLESS manufacturer that makes non essential (e.g. consumer electronics) ICs in the midst of a global capacity shortage. Stop shilling this fucking stock goddammit
why is HIMX your fav? just curious.
Agreed, and she drags one of my favs, HIMX down with her.
Goddamn I hope you’re right about HIMX. Been averaging down for a year: 350 shares at 6.50.
NXPI, ASML , TSMC, HIMX, CRSR ( I know ! )
I have a play on a company called Himax ($HIMX). They've had massive Revenue and income growth last year and a P/E Ratio of 3.76. They're trading at 9.50 right now and I think the stock has an opportunity of going to 15 maybe 20$ EOY.
Is HIMX dead? Or, will there be a run after earnings?
INTC, CROX, FB, MU, HIMX. LUMN also seems to be very undervalued rn.
>HIMX
HIMX is so undervalued, they consistently beat estimates and still tank. Im looking forwards for the dividends in July though.
HIMX now has a P/E below 4. That's insane. It's newest, large segment is automobile TDDIs. They are growing market share in this sector (>30%+), increasing revenues, have high EPS, and the market trend is very promising for automobiles in general (as newer cars implement these TDDIs). Not sure why this particular stock gets beaten up as badly as is.
Based in Taiwon? That's all I can think of. I've been building a position in HIMX recently I can't understand why it's being so held down.
I am all about the HIMX train my man
Grabbing some more HIMX while its still under 10 bucks
HIMX and ZIM looking like good buys. Low P/E with rapid high YoY growth and...dividends.
going balls deep on HIMX. see ya after divvy day
Why is everyone not like all over HIMX?… what am I missing here?
SST and HIMX intrigue me… someone shill me either way on either
What’s everyone’s thoughts on HIMX? Semi conductor company that’s giving nice dividends for an $11-$12 stock
Normally I’d recommend some index funds but now I’m mainly looking for undervalued stocks relative to their industry and profitable companies only for the most part. ZIM is a marine shipping company with a pe of 1.75 and returns about 50% of earnings as a dividend. HIMX is a fabless semiconductor company making display drivers that also gives a dividend with a 4.68 pe in an industry that usually trades much higher. Both pe are less than half of their industry avg and the rest of the financials are solid also. I’m overweight on a few solid stocks but still have index funds and etfs. Diversify for safety
If you don't know about $HIMX by now, you're already too late.
I always hate saying HIMX, but it’s my true belief it’s a gem in hiding
HIMX
I hate everything pumped on stocktwist. The same thing goes for PARA HIMX and F. 10% swings in 2 days is only going to benefit daytraders and swingtraders. If you believe in the company long term you should hope that all the stocktwits hype dies out and the share price falls below 20$ on rate hike fears.
Had an alert for go off this morning for $HIMX. It dropped below a certain level. I don’t remember setting this alert and I have no idea what $HIMX does. Bought 4/14 $11 calls.
Oooo, HIMX and METV are the exact same price. That must mean something
HIMX usually has a fat dividend, and they've had a record time. Made some money around them last earnings but got out. I do plan to invest my oil winnings heavily into them.
It’s a “long term hold,” is just another way to say I’m bag holding a stock. My long term hold is HIMX what are you guys long term holding?
Ahh yes, the elusive 60 bagger... Start by looking at a company's market cap. AAPLs is 2.66 trillion. To grow by a factor of 60 and become as big as AAPL is today, a company would need to be about $44 billion. So you can pretty much exclude anything larger than that. A much more common occurrence would be, say, a $1-2 billion company becoming a $40-80 billion company. My money is on the bit makers, stocks like ACLS, AOSL, and HIMX. I could also see a company like QS going 60x in 13 years if they become the king of EV batteries.
#Ban Bet Lost /u/nirvana6789 (0/1) made a bet that HIMX would go to 20.0 when it was 10.98 and it did not, so they were banned for a week.
Honestly, not great- thanks for asking. Nothing seems fun anymore after having to move back to the Midwest from CO during the pandemic. Everyone here seems dead inside and it’s bringing me down with it. Portfolio isn’t trash yet but I’ll probably have to scale out a bit because a $0.65 raise this year is a lot less than I was expecting from a company that has crazy high demand. The GME run up did help me put a down payment on the house I’m in right now though so I can’t complain about a bearish market. Enjoy the wine, long HIMX.
Supply and demand is also pretty basic knowledge. Look at the EPS on HIMX, TSM, AMD, etc.
A lot of options trade in .05 increments. HIMX for example. You get the fills you get 'cause payment for order flow.
Thoughts on UMC vs HIMX?
I think ima sit the next few days out, panic sold my RKT calls at the absolute bottom today like a little bitch. This market is choppy as fuck. I have 3K sitting and waiting for a move, and nothing seems appealing. Also will continue to bag hold HIMX.
HIMX and INDI are awesome suggestions! Thank you
Some people are optimistic about HIMX, with a price-earnings ratio of 4 times, a global display driver chip manufacturer, and its corporate finances are very good. I want to sell my Santa Barbara beach house and buy it all.
That has nothing to do with HIMX being fundamentally the highest performing lowest P/E and worse performing stock in that industry.
I kept holding hope for the HIMX run, but Putin had to fuck it up....
Jokes on you bears, the only stock I own went up 1 cent today. HIMX is green for the day and I feel rich.
In all seriousness, I have 45% in bonds and gold, the rest In DIVB and some reits. So I’m as not concerned as some. My riskiest play right now is in HIMX…but the sell the most important part of complex semiconductors which is the coveted imaging. They reported earnings of 85 cents per share at the most recent earnings call.
Jesus your post history has more references to HIMX than its investors relations page. * /r/stocks * /r/wallstreetbets * /r/investing * /r/options * /r/StockMarket * /r/Fire * /r/HIMXInvestorClub (wtf???) * /r/dividends Pumpers be pumpin, but damn dude...
HIMX trying hard to fight the trend AH.everything semi related down except this
I got 10.5p's on HIMX
WSB has gone in and out of HIMX since 2020. You must be newer here Shit I remember a bunch of us retards buying calls on this throughout the 2020 bull run. Since then stock went flat and you only really see HIMX posts close to earnings date. Trust me lots of people here are waiting for HIMX to fly again.
**Ban Bet Created:** **/u/nirvana6789** bet **HIMX** goes from **10.98** to **20.0** before **2022-03-04 16:38:17.001928-05:00**
