I too have subscribed for 2.5 years now and it is way too expensive for what he provides. Great education for sure but overall you may beat the market if you happened to be in the ones that are doing well. Right now July 14th 2026 he has a decent amount of double digit profits in his buys. This is the first time in 3 years that has happened. With many of them he has waited 60 days for just 12% (MATX) and a few like CRWD and KRYS it took 4 weeks for 16%. He took a hit on KRYS today but he did sell half at 17%. This is one of many many stocks on his recommended list. He has at least 60% you take 5% or more losses on or do nothing. My issue is he has not adjusted his system to buy the real leaders like SNDK (in April) was although he was in MU. He sells out of great winners for 30% gains instead of selling at the 21 day or 10 day. In 2024 Mark Ritchie had APP and sold for 30% and the thing went 200%. I understand the concept that you put together enough of these and you will have a great return but there just aren't enough of these with his criteria. Some people do well but are the very small minority. Maybe 5% do well. Maybe they have time to sit in front of a computer all day and monitor and study on the weekends. I find buying Episodic Pivots - Pradeep Bonde and Quallamagie way more effective because they are looking not just for tightenings but real power with and ADR of >5%. Super huge surge in buying and then a tightening before resuming and of course Episodic Pivots.

Not buying but I'll be holding KRYS if last Friday's candle proved to be a continuation of the current rally. If I get a bearish signal on the 4hr MACD I'll sell, hopefully keeping my profits.

KRYS Krystal Biotech, maybe. Not certain at all but closed green on over 3x volume on Friday after a breakout rally the past few days from a small continuation flag. Not seen volume as high as that since maybe June 2024. Could just be a standard rise in momentum or the start of a short squeeze. Not as shorted as much others but it's at about 10% float with over 9 days to cover, and the company is growing profits fast rolling out its new product for a debilitating skin condition. If institutions pile in the next couple of weeks the shorts could get caught out. I'm just in it for a standard swing trade on what I think is a great small company; a squeeze would just be a lucky serendipitous outcome for me.

When you’re building a short-term portfolio for something like a semester project, it helps to step back and think about what you’re really being graded on. With real money you’d care about risk and compounding; in a classroom exercise the focus is usually on relative performance — who ends the semester with the highest return. That framing makes the incentives very different. Looking at your picks: AAPL and NVDA are clear large-cap growth names. They’ll usually track overall market sentiment, but they’re also widely covered, so surprises come more from macro events than from sudden company-specific news. PLTR and TSLA are more sentiment-driven; they can move sharply in either direction if narratives around AI or EVs shift. CCJ is tied to uranium, which makes it more of a commodity play than a traditional equity bet, while [RHM.DE](http://RHM.DE) gives you European defense exposure — that’s sensitive to geopolitical developments rather than just U.S. earnings cycles. KRYS and L (Loblaw or Loews depending on ticker) diversify the set but are not typically momentum leaders. The key point is that you’ve chosen a blend of mega-cap growth, high-beta tech, and a couple of niche plays. That mix can perform well if optimism continues, but it could also underperform if sentiment turns. For a short time horizon like a semester, results often come down less to stock-picking skill and more to the broader market backdrop. If markets rise, your high-growth tilt probably does fine; if volatility spikes, those same names are the ones that tend to fall fastest. In practice, the exercise isn’t about whether these are the “right” companies, but about showing that you understand the forces driving them. If you can explain why you chose each — tech momentum, defense demand, commodity cycles — you’ll be in a strong position regardless of how the scoreboard looks in December.

"Sold after I tasted a Celsius and hated it." Which flavor? "KRYS - This is a biotech company" Biotech has not had a good year but KRYS is actually an interesting company and they do have an aesthethics subsidiary (https://jeuneinc.com/) that one could eventually imagine being sold or spun out. The CEO of that subsidiary previously was at Allergan and "...was responsible for all aspects of the commercialization of neurosciences, urology and medical dermatology products, most notably Botox® for all therapeutic uses and, earlier in his career, led the commercial planning and execution for BOTOX® Cosmetic in the United States."

Todays breakout watchlist: SIGA, CHWY, AGL, BCRX, ACET, BCYC, HRMY, KRYS, PLRX Side note: DXY has been following technical principles more cleanly than anything I've ever seen. Look at how closely it respects the moving averages, and even had a consolidation breakout. Currently sitting right on 20ma potential support. Anyway just found it interesting. This is the correct answer, almost. I tried to get level 2 at Fidelity because KRYS had announced late last year that they would be announcing the results of their safety and efficacy series 1 study in Q1 2022. We had 2 weeks left in the quarter and no test results. I expected the stock to double on the study results announcement so I wanted to buy otm calls. So I applied to go from level 1 to 2. I was denied. Said I missed the final requirement. So I opened a Robinhood account. My bank account wasn't connected yesterday so I figured I'd missed my chance. Then I discovered that KRYS made their announced on March 22nd. So, the announcement was made and the results were great but no moon shot. I would have been stuck with melting calls and no moonshot because the stock market is short term stupid and irrational. Now I'm going to have to wait 5 years for my 20 bagger while they roll out their wrinkle injections. So the actual answer is 'don't trade options '.

Buy calls on DWAC that expire later than Feb 21. Buy calls on KRYS that expire later than the end of March. When KRYS doubles again, sell. Put half of that money into KRYS common shares. When the DWAC app goes live at the end of Feb, sell the calls and put half into DWAC common. Take half of the remaining cash and put it into SCYX common before March 22 when they announce earnings. Take the remaining cash and Venmo it to me with an order of chicken tenders and honey mustard. Note that if the upcoming KRYS study results come out later than March 22 then you won't be able to buy SCYX before their earnings, but whatever since this certainly isn't financial advice and oh by the way, I am invested heavily in all of these companies mentioned.

I was looking for a stocks with high options with high IV and found Krystal Biotech (NASDAQ: KRYS). I don’t understand why the options is SO expensive. Stock is trading at 50$ now, December17, 2021 put option (IV 234%) for strike 40 has premium 10. So the profit is 1000/4000 = 25%. Yeah, I know that is volatile pharma stock, IV is big, but the peers that have similar uncertainty of the future and volatility have far lower premiums. Could you please explain to me what is special with this stock?

YOLO bet for the gang. $KRYS has Phase 3 data coming out before the end of the year targeting rare skin diseases with gene therapy. 13F has two smart insiders, Frazier and Barker Brothers but it is a small position for both. This is a up 100%, down 50% kind of set up. If you go calls, keep strikes under $90. https://ir.krystalbio.com/static-files/42934f6f-f225-4bdc-bb03-55dcae00be00
