I took a massive loss on NVAX stock.
I'm so cautious with pharma since the day I almost pulled the trigger in NVAX for which I read multiple "can't fail" multi bagger great DDs. I didn't not because I was smart but because I'm TDHA as fuck and forgot to do it.
I don't listen to myself most of the time so dont feel too bad. I was going to buy a pile of BTC at 16.9k and didn't. And I was going to sell NVAX when I read that omicron was blasting through india with basically no deaths and making natural immunity.. But I held it; for literally no reason.
NVAX is going to squeeze any day now. Probably in 2 to 4 weeks, it's going to take off. It can squeeze to 100 dollars I honestly believe!!!
Need help or advice on mitigating loss/recovering from buying calls that are flopping. Noob investor. Started dabbling in stocks ~3 months ago. Invested $6600 so far. Made $1000 in gains over the ~3 months. Gained confidence and a tarted buying calls 🤦♂️ They’re all negative. Lost $1000 gains, but currently at breakeven. I’ve been reading up on different strategies to offset loss / recover but it’s confused me even more and don’t want to risk creating an even larger mess/loss. Any recommendations? Should I exercise any of these? Do you ever roll options at a loss? Should I sell the option at a loss before losing my entire premium? Any help greatly appreciated!!! Bought a few hundred NVAX several years ago at like $2, it went up and down a bit. My first time buying a stock. I forgot about it. Years later I realized I had it, I sold it at a slight loss l9## just to liquidate, I needed the few hundred bucks. A year after that they made a COVID vaccine and it went to $200 a share. I had $50k of IMMX bought December '22, I had to sell it at a loss of about 10k because I was liquidating for a down payment on a house. Fast forward several months and share price went to $1.8 where I bought it to $7. 😭
I took profit on NVAX just before its last report. I bought back in (Only 10 Shares) and its still green but I had a previous wash of a few dollars. So it looks red, but I'll still take maybe $10 of that.

Could face bankruptcy if revenue continues to be a loss. Does not look good for NVAX but it could always squeeze.
2021 ended up on a high, had to take boat load of cash out for taxes thanks to wins on $NVAX. Even made my accountant wide-eyed after how much income I had to report that year! 2022 closed out -55% YTD, bad yolo's on $CPNG+$SQ. Softbank CEO dumped 30m shares on my ass, and I ate -25% just in December alone. 2023 closed out -23% YTD. Sold the bottom in my position after two bad earnings by $AMZN which dragged my $CPNG position down to yearly low. Had a nice mid year recovery. Played around with a few yolos like $TQQQ. Can lightning strike twice? $NVAX had hit new 52-week low and I saw a short term oppourtunity that might've went a little too long. My YTD was +36% by September. Then the crash came for everyone. And while the market got renewed life in November CPI in 2023, this one didn't. I cut my losses and moved. 2024 wow, just wow! +75% YTD. Made up all my losses from 2023! I am keeping this position a secret so WSB doesn't ruin the ticker! No AI, no silicon, no NVDA, no WSB meme stock! This one isn't even in the history books! Other notables. HSA trading account +92% YTD T-ira account (funded for 2023 & 2024) +126% YTD, +273% for life of this account! My 401k, +54.5% YTD (this one is a diester, loss most of my money in 2022 in a self direct) locked in about 200k in loses from the high of 2022 to end of 2023. Vanguard (thought this would be boring, but recently had a +20% day yolo), +53% YTD My smaller fun account +79.5% YTD TLDR; A market crash/correction is coming!!!

Why has NVAX been moving recently?
A lot of stocks with very large short interest are rallying like crazy. BYND doubled AH. CVNA tripled. NVAX doubled since last week (earnings tomorrow). Small cap stocks are still being ignored. I think this may be a collected short squeeze on high short interest stocks. Either that or large portions of short positions being closed.
Took my tendies today. I think this NVAX jump is all pump and dump. Earnings report in the morning.
