What is the next squeeze?

Mentions

Hi, it’s up to date, you can go to open positions and see what positions I am still holding! ( there is a toggle ) Indeed some were premium grabs, which is why I got burnt. Indeed the tracker does not show yet current asset price. Market data is so expensive. I did some money on PRME a few months ago and entered back now into the position lets see what happens. I exited FIG for about 100$ win in less than a week. Looking to enter again through short puts. Really like that stock!

Mentions:#PRME#FIG

The tracker doesn't show what happened after assignment. I saw that FIG, PRME got assigned away for more premium, but your tracked doesn't show the profit on the shares. I see that you also ran CCs on ACHR, NTLA, but no assignement yet, so still holding them? Are you still holding RCAT? FLY? DNA? Looks like they all may have recovered since assignment, although not sure what price you were assigned at and on what date. Is there away to add columns in the tracker to show the full chain of events after assignment?

Look into PRME also. They are earlier in development than CRSP but the technology could make Crispr obsolete. I say this as someone who has owned CRSP since 2017.

Sure it will bar code... I just don't understand people who get so invested in penny stocks with such little potential and freak out over sea saw. Sure wish someone pointed this stock out on here with real intent a few months ago. Google investing in a penny stock? Should have raised some eyebrows in here long ago. Potential here is undeniable. A guy on twitter calls this God's technology and is convinced it has the same potential to 100x from here like ASTS. Just don't really understand why there is so little hype for PRME

Quebec has 3% of all the fresh water on the planet. WATER IS THE NEXT OIL. 🚀🚀🚀🚀

PRME but this is also a huge risk. Company is developing gene editing techniques. It quadrupled value within 2month. But long term the stability of the share price is dictated by their results. I wouldn’t sleep on it!!!

CRSP mostly focuses on ex vivo which is great but harder to scale. PRME is very new but basically search and replace function for genes, as I understand it. One of the many promising technologies to come from David Liu who is basically a greek god of gene editing research. The tech they used for this is actually base editing (also co-created by Liu), which is theoretically a more limited type of editing but right now is the best available.

"Is anyone else paying attention to $PRME" Few people on Reddit are looking at much beyond the most popular stocks, you're not going to find anyone paying attention to a 400M market cap biotech. Cathie Wood being the second largest holder is concerning, although Google Ventures remains the largest shareholder. They cut their pipeline recently. It's nice that BMY invested but that doesn't mean that it still can't go to 0. Biotechs get investments from larger players all the time, some work out and it's fantastic when they do but many don't. This deal has the **potential** for them to earn up to 3.5B in milestone payments plus royalties, which would be amazing...if it works/best case scenario. "It seems like they have kept performing well each quarter" It's down 78% from where it went public in 2022. 30% short interest (which is rather significant), got a bump from deal announcement and then went right back down. Have no idea about the company. If someone thought their pipeline worked and optimally "best case scenario"-level worked, then this would be a good opportunity. Have no idea about the company but this kind of thing is a lotto ticket and maybe it works out great but don't be surprised if it's a 0.

if you want a non-regarded long-term play for your retirement account to never look at, buy $BEAM and $PRME (sell long dated puts or buy 2025+ LEAPS). BEAM -- CRISPR 2.0 (ultra-precise gene-editing, think designer babies but we gotta cure diseases first. already capital-backed by google ventures, eli lilly, and more) PRME -- CRISPR 2.5 (even more precise adjunct to CRISPR). licensing deal with BEAM both at relative dumpy lows. eat 'em up, boys

CRISPR Therapeutics got approval, seen as a landmark decision potentially heralding the coming of the Genomic era of medicine. CRSP BEAM PRME NTLA have been skyrocketing since

r/stocksSee Comment

I know I'm late to this, but I'm an expert in this area. I'm a scientist, former professor, and biotech founder focused on gene therapy. CRISPR is being widely used, is incredible technology, and has great potential. However, there are a lot of issues. Further, every 5-10 years there is the next "big thing" in biotech, and they usually (for the most part) fail. A recently example that comes to mind is stem therapy. I could list all the issues with CRISPR, but for discussion sake let's say it works perfect with no issues (highly unlikely obviously). Then the question becomes: what do you invest in to make money? ... And the honest answer is nobody knows. From an investor standpoint, even if it works well, it's very complex. The main concern in my mind and from biotech investors I've talked to is IP. There are multiple patents for different ways to achieve similar goals. 1) Unclear which will prevail. Likely just one approach but could be more. It's essentially like multiple different word processing programs, but nobody knows which one(s) will become the Microsoft Word or Google Docs. And even if you get lucky and pick the one that will prevail ... 2) The underlying legal aspects of patenting a process or method that alters genes and the genome and what can actually get patent protection is unclear. To date only a few CRISPR cases have been litigated. Side note: We talked to one of the attorneys who litigated the first case, and they bill at $1500-2000 per hour... Which still blows my mind. Anyways, the primary use, currently at least, for CRISPR is "fixing" mutated genes in generic disorders to make the genes "normal". Basically cut out the incorrect letters in the sequence and insert the letters that are in healthy genes. There is a chance this is not patentable. If you are instead in why, go read about the Myriad Genetics supreme Court cast where the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that human genes cannot be patented in the U.S. because DNA is a "product of nature". Essentially the argument that CRISPR cant be patented for use as I previously described is based on the fact that you would be creating a drug that makes a "normal" gene, and normal genes are a product of nature (ie. not patentable). The counter argument is that patents are not intended to cover a drug but instead are patenting a novel method/process. TLDR: Investing in CRISPR right now is tough for a variety of reasons. Even if it's patentable AND works with no major off target effects it's still like picking a search engine was in the 90s. One or two might prevail, but nobody knows which is Google and which is AskJeeves (probably gave away how old I am there). HOWEVER since this is an investing sub, if someone gave me money and said I had to invest in a CRISPR technology/company right this minute and hold it for the long term I would go with PRME (Prime Therapeutics).
