I believe in this one. I was holding it since late June and sold my whole bag at close to $6.50 in July when it took off. I've been keeping a close eye on PROK and I'm just waiting hoping to get back in closer to $2.00 flat.
I don't get a lot of chips to play with for good reason, but my strategy has been to buy 100 shares of stocks like these every week. I am targeting flatliners that are in the dollar price area, many have popped well for me - CISO, OCGN, PROK, URG, SMTK, LEXX, CTMX, OPEN, MAPS, DVLT, URG. Open especially, what I would have given to go all in back in June when it caught my eye around .50 a share
PROK appears to be a very promising biotechnology company for the future, with the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life for patients.
Me quietly building my holdings in PROK thinking I have all the time in the world and have to wait 18 months for the next catalyst. Then stock just decides to rocket for no reason.
Look at stocks between $1-2, good market cap, trade volume and relatively stable PE ratio. Tons of those stocks are hitting for me rn, PROK, CISO, RMCO, MAPS, CTMX. I flipped to a strategy of targeting stocks that I think are undervalued and in prime manipulation territory. OPEN caught my eye at .50 in June as part of this strategy.
What kind of return do you guys average? Im at 94% YTD. Doesn't seem sustainable, or, I'll be changing my name to scrooge mcduck in a few years. I try to sell and lock in anywhere from a 5%-30% gain, I'm a benefactor of IXHL and PROK the past few months.
Tempted to Jan 16 calls for PROK, looks like the price has stabilized around 2.6 after accelerated approval news.
Tell you what stocks I want pumped? Sure, okay. UNH and ASML look like free money over that timespan. I've got LEAPs. NVO seems wildly underpriced, but there's not a screaming obvious bull catalyst right now. Wouldn't want to be on the sidelines if it appears though. RKLB will jump if their Neutron launch goes off smoothly. RKT will jump if the Fed cuts rates. PROK has a promising-looking kidney disease therapy in Phase 3 trials now. If those go well, prices should rip - there's tons of kidney disease out there (age, diabetes). I've also got money in HGRAF in case it blows up. Everything else I hold is either boringly safe or wildly speculative/short term.

Lost all my money off of PROK last week, only gained a little from NVAX, Fuk it, iβm ππ» for UVXY.
i bought 400K at .22. up 284% with $254K in unrealised gains as of this post. strong resistance in the .90's. Could hit $1 before P2 read out. P3 protocol already approved by the FDA. All signs point towards positive data. This run up has been to fair value ahead of news. This stock was undervalued to begin with, now with catalysts around the corner.....we could see a PROK move

Stop. $PROK high range is more realistic than that. If I remember PROK hit as high as 7-8 in the enthusiasm before settling down. I'm bullish on 3-4 being very realistic based on updates from management and FOMO.

If PROK stabilizes above $3.80β$4.00 with ascending volume, it may resume its upward momentum. I think the PT (short term, around the next 3 months) is around $3-5 a share. If the trial data for Phase 2/3 is very positive, the stock will react accordingly almost how ProKidney ($PROK \[?\]) did. Violent upward momentum if the clinical trial is optimistic. Looking at market cap, the stock (IMO, YMMV) could reach $10+ if regulation is on their side.
I learned with PROK that a 30c stop loss will likely get hit if volatility is high. Mine triggered during a halt, then it mooned to 4+. Yup.
Rule of thumb for me...$PROK. Watched it climb bit by bit to explode on news. Sold 2 days after news. I don't marry biotech stocks unless they pay me dividends.

Go look at $PROK. When it ran hard it ran on trials news and $IXHL reminds me of that. PROK held for a bit with no further news. I was in that one for a bit. I feel this is behaving similarly.
PROK bag holder here - respect the honest post. Luckily I had enough MP to offset my losses on PROK and then some. Iβm very interested in MATE after reading this. Iβm going to do my own research but I appreciate the post and you shedding some light on this play. Most likely will add some shares into the fold, stay tuned. Look at $PROK I see reasonable comps. This can run similarly.
I think itβs more of a good potential to increase 200-500% than something like 5-$10/share as the float is also larger than PROK so I wouldnβt expect as high as a bounce. Β Maybe eventually as phase 3 occurs or if they announce being bought out. Β They have a lot of positives and chart is curling nicely after that initial pop and drop in May. Β I think itβs a good risk/reward ratio. Β But it is weird to have all of the attention pointing to it in the last few weeks but it could also make sense since the company has said July will have the results and all of their actions make it look favorable. Β Maybe itβll be one of those times where it lives to the hype. Β

Phase 2 clinical trials data readout from a US based study. It ran to nearly a dollar last time. There's significant market manipulation keeping it at current price, the L2 information during the day looks absolutely wild. Data lock was mid June so should be releasing results any time now. Biotech is hot right now, too. See PROK etc.

I'm quite bullish on this and have decided to go all in, however they will need to raise capital to fund phase 3 unless a partnership deal or licensing cash inflow is announced concurrently. Phase 3 is already approved, which signals confidence. They have someone from ResMed working on the team. Securing patents for their oral drug. positive data already on efficacy. This is high risk play. I have 400K shares. They cancelled 347M warrants to cut dilution ahead of trial results. Everything i have been reading signals confidence from IXHL in this drug. To be fair though, if this result isn't good, they are pretty much screwed. I am patiently waiting. If this pops to 1+ i'll wind down half my position and let the ride. I am cautiously optimistic. Penny bios are risky as hell. Imagine being in PROK at .50 and riding to 5.00. Millionaires were made on that play.
yeah, I got burned by PROK. thankfully I broke even but I like a potential 5 digit gain in an hour because it was so volatile and I held on, hoping it'd climb back up. should have cut my losses when it hit $7.

Halt @ end of day yesterday causing me not to be able to sell off PROK shares turned into major blessing in disguise.Β

I wrote a python script a few month ago that scans the SEC RSS feed every 60 seconds for new 8-K filings, and sends me a text if any are filed by companies trading under $5 with <50M floats. I can usually beat the news drops of most platforms that way. It caught PROK before itβs pump yesterday.
