Containers loaded & unloaded from ships are done by the ports. you get in the queue for your load or discharge window. if vessel misses the window, it takes a hit on either charter or operating costs. are you saying the American ports decided to stop or delay unloading vessels calling ?? just to fuck themselves ? if importers delay clearing containers, then these will get sent to the customs holding / demurrage zone for pending clearance. then get disposed. containers get loaded on ships within days to a week. transhipment may be slower depending on final destination or low volume feeder service. major ports get stuff out fast, speeed is of essence. Top ports run by Maersk, Shanghai, Dalian, PSA, Hong Kong, sell their services on that basis. Timely, safely & minimal errors. direct loading is done for small ports often. single type cargo e.g. 50TEUs of rubber sheets to same receiver. pre-cleared in bonded zone. if your containers are sitting weeks in a port at best of times pending loading, then you are buying stuff from a pretty undeveloped place. consumer goods dont typically ship from places without a major port. commodities yes, those often come from less developed areas but still get accumulated at main ports for shipping out. Port Hedland, Tubarao come to mind.

Your information is incomplete; 1) they have 6.2B because they released 1.5B in convertible notes. 2) their overall recenue is declining, yes, however they are massively improving cost per revenue, they deleted their debt and are improving revenue per store. If you look at their US stores, they are profitable. It’s the international stores that drag them down and probably will be closed in the near future, which would make them profitable without the cash on hand. They are also expanding in successfull partnerships (PSA) and Pokemon TCG which is huge in the US now. So don’t just base your conclusion on a single earnings sheet

Be sure to do your DD like checking that there are still several million shares of non exercised direct offerings at 2.12. Also they are voting today to expand their share cap by 100% which means future dilution is on the horizon to increase marketing and delivery of their new product. Personally, I think this is going to be a spike for a few days then will dip and plateau again before the final pump after FDA approval is announced.

Hey folks, I have a PSA for you. This is not the time to sell covered calls. The market is too volatile. At 10% out of the money, 1 month out, you're looking at earning an extra 1% on the trade. You're thinking to yourself, I'd love to sell my spy at 545 if I could... Right now, it seems great. But, these tariffs are too stupid to last. I say this as a bear: the most likely outcome is that this all unwinds in a few weeks and the market goes to the moon. And your sorry ass is going to be posting here about how to save your trade because you're shares are worth 565 and your calls are worth -25. Folks will tell you to roll, but it will get harder and harder to roll out of your losses. Just don't do it. covered calls are a great way to juice your gains in a nice, steady bull market when vix is nice and low. Now, on the flip side, this is a great time to sell cash secured puts. Premiums are juicy and if you have buy points where you're planning to buy the dip anyway, having your puts assigned are a great way to buy in and have an even lower cost basis.
