Everytime I post about grabbing options when it’s not regular trading hours a bunch of you morons say something like “how are you getting those” or “you can’t right now”. So here’s a PSA for whichever morons need it. You can trade many index options almost 24 hours a day. Yes you can literally buy puts and calls right now if you have a broker that supports it which many do. I know it’s not going to help, but maybe next time I grab something at night and comment here about it there will be at least a couple fewer morons coming out of the woodwork to tell me it’s not possible to do. Staking your whole business on collectibles / card reselling … what’s the moat? I’d much rather own the grading companies like PSA, and even then there is likely some cyclicality to their business.
Collectibles, primarily Pokemon cards. To be precise, 41.8% of their net sales is now based on collectibles. You can also get your cards graded via PSA at many GameStop stores. Then there are the Digital Power Packs, where you can spend up to $5000 to get highly valuable cards in a casino-like-fashion.
Literally so many cards have been sent to PSA for grading that they have stopped halted certain grading tiers until they catch up. Something like 10 million cards. I'm assuming a good portion of cards are being sent in through GameStop.

I don’t have any skin in the game but have you seen what Gamestop has been doing lately related to Pokemon? They are doing two things that will result in huge revenue for them… 1. They stopped selling pokemon at MSRP, and instead sell it at Market price, which means something that used to be $89 is now $199, AND people are still gobbling them up! 2. They developed “Powerpacks” which is basically online gambling hidden in the form of opening virtual packs. There are some cards worth thousands and thousands of dollars that you can “possibly” pull, but obviously just like at a casino, the house always wins! There are multiple levels of packs, ranging from $25 up to $5000! Yes, people are plopping down $5000 to open a virtual pack of Pokemon cards hoping they hit a $50,000 card. Then , get this, even if they do end up pulling that grail card, say a PSA10 Rayquaza, Gamestop offers to buy it back at 90% of market right there! All you have to do is click a button and the $45,000 will be put back into your account. But guess what people do with that $45,000? withdraw it? Nope! gamble it away on more packs! Watch their earnings reports…it’s going to be crazy.

I made money on gme during the first squeeze, which i promptly lost the following year in the 2022 bear market. Anyways i dont know why but i feel like RC, as eccentric as he is, is gonna make something happen, or the stock will pop again for some reason. I bought 25 strike LEAPS for december 2027. Also i have several friends who work with PSA which is affiliated with gamestop and rc, theyve been expanding a lot into collectibles and demand for psa grading services is through the roof right now, several of my friends have gotten hired with them lately. Its a long shot play but LEAPS were fairly cheap.

Solid advice, I've done everything on your list and always encourage others to do the same. Had polyps that were precancerous taken out of me at 40. If I had waited I would have full blown cancer by 50. Don't poop in a box, that's ridiculous. Also, get a baseline PSA check, it's a simple blood test for prostate cancer, costs about $20. And right before you go to sleep for your colonoscopy, tell the doc to check your prostate while they're in there.
