That’s correct. Timeframe doesn’t matter too much, as VWAP is intraday, so anything below 1D. I typically aim to start looking for spreads around 8:30am PST, as that is when volatility tends to suppress the most.
I’m convinced market makers wait til retail gets flushed out (robinhood and friends with their bullshit close out at 12:30PST), before they let the move come through. It’s a pattern I notice everyday. Just gonna start trading at market close.
Had SPY 692 and 691 Puts at the first little dip. It recovered and I was -80% most day. Doubled down and bought 2 more of each. 4 total. End of day made my money back and +$80. Sold at 11 PST. If I would’ve waited til 1230 PST, would’ve made $1900.. not even mad tho, usually holding all day would’ve cost me. Still up 20% for the day.
