For me, i use Fidelity also and begin to get those error messages at 10 am PST. Here in the West Coast, stock market open is 6:30 am PST. So from 6:30 to 10am PST is when I can do 0DTE. Just do the time conversion for wherever you live.

I go for whatever strike price is hovering around 0.25-0.30. Trades done for the day before 11am PST. One trade per day, don't get greedy. Be comfortable taking a loss for a day and don't spiral, that's how you panic and lose everything.

For everyone asking how, I entered at 8:51 AM PST when SPY had been getting hammered, it shot back up to 733ish, then vol crushed and declined slowly until vol finally picked up. Yes the position would have been profitable if I heldβ¦for 3 hours+ with 70% drawdown, but Iβm not a psychopath. I got out of the trade at 8:58 AM PST.

Unless PCE is worse than expected, all signs point to gap up up to rinse everybody who bought puts thinking the breakdown was coming. Broβ¦I also bought MU calls yesterday that expired today, betting that a Kioxia earnings blowout would send MU flying. When Kioxia released earnings around 11:30 PM PST Thursday night, MU jumped nearly 5%, so I went to sleep feeling great. But by the time I woke up, the gains were completely wiped out because the overall market was down. I ended up losing $100K. I really thought I was going to make big money today.
