I want to take down Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI) and need help/ideas on how to do it.
Canadian Truckers Against Mandates say we should short publicly traded news outlets that are biased and spread misinformation.

I'd say that, sure. I was more thinking along the lines of SBGI, AMC, RIVN, etc. Sure, you can diversify into those, but it's not a good thing for the portfolio.
Trump shat on the sector today with his tweet about 39% ownership which is contradicting his administration saying they would deregulate and allow more consolidation, then mid day SBGI made an official offer to SSP and popped the sector. It’s a strange one, GTN has 500m mkt cap approximately at almost 6.5b enterprise value. Like I said, trash sector but I’m in it for M&A and worst case the next spectrum auction where they can sell assets for billions again like last time.
GTN, EVC and SBGI. Huge dividends, garbage sector but Congress is in in the works of giving the FCC back their rights to auction spectrum. SSP already looks like SBGI taking over. Once FCC regains control of spectrum auctions, their assets will be worth billions on the books again as with last spectrum auction. Their spectrum will be repackaged and used as 5G. In the meantime, I’m locked into 7-12% dividends for the next couple of years. Stress free investing

Imagine a dogshit company like SBGI trying to tell Disney what it can and can’t do
Puts Disney, SBGI, NXST Do not let them take your freedom of speech!! Show that we will hurt more than any lawsuit!

# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** SPY (implied) **Direction:** Down (market fell) **Prognosis:** Brace for volatility; monitor economic indicators. Consider $EW and $CROX for stability, $SBGI and $IHRT for insider confidence. CMRX, ACHR, and MASS are showing interesting catalyst activity. **Meme Potential:** Job cuts up 103%? Time to dust off the resume!
That's just pitiful. My advice to you at this point with what you got left is just put it all on SBGI and leave it there. smh
I’m buying NYT and NWSA, which should be the main beneficiaries of the Trump bump among media stocks. Also looking at AMC VMEO and SBGI as potential consolidation targets under more relaxed antitrust scrutiny.
RUM will have the 4 year cyclic nature of Sinclair (SBGI) and Nexstar (NXST). Revenue/earnings spikes on each election cycle and a drop-off after. The market knows the cyclical nature and will discount it.
**SBGI** is filing for bankruptcy [https://frontofficesports.com/largest-rsn-owner-in-u-s-prepares-for-bankruptcy/](https://frontofficesports.com/largest-rsn-owner-in-u-s-prepares-for-bankruptcy/)
Diamond Sports Group LLC, is listed here https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/d/diamond-sports-5.375-bds-150826-usd2000 Cannot seem to find the stock tag for it on RH at all, (please post your firm if it lists it) but parent SBGI is, @ 19 atm. News just dropped for the bankruptcy and here’s everyone chance to short it on the way down and out.

So I was looking for undervalued companies and stumbled on this one: $SBGI Sinclair Broadcasting Group. Market cap $1.7 billion Income $2.15 billion Sales $5.9 billion P/E 0.81 Price to free cashflow is 3.68 Can anyone explain why it has such small market cap with such low P/E?
Playing FOXA and SBGI.
I don't follow DIS, but I bought FOXA earlier, and u/Charming_Rice [mentioned](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbetsOGs/comments/tax551/comment/i053wnu/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) the MLB lockout, so I bought some SBGI. I'm telling you this because DIS owns ESPN, right?
You're right. That could be why. Thanks. I bought some SBGI 30c, too.
Friday(1/7/22) was a good day for a number of broadcasting and media companies which also have good value. Viacom CBS (VIAC) up 8.16% P/E 7.47 (VIACA) up 7.88% Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI) up 7.57% P/E 12.56 AMC Networks Inc. (AMCX) up 7.15% P/E 5.43 Dish Network Corp (DISH) up 4.31% P/E 8.25 Urban One Inc (UONEK) up 3.47% P/E 3.35 (UONE) up 3.29% Nexstar Media Group Inc (NXST) up 3.00% P/E 7.47 I don't know if this is a trend for media stocks or just a coincidence. I am long in AMCX. The others I just happened to notice. AMCX is about 24% above it's 52 week low which occurred in December. In it's most recent quarterly report in early November, AMCX showed a year over year earnings growth of 24%. Upon the announcement of this earnings report the stock jumped 10%, but has fallen back below the level prior to the announcement. I believe the share price has been held low due to the fact that the former CEO, Josh Sapan has sold 40,000 shares each month since April. This has helped to keep the price of the stock low, but can't last forever. It's lows in December may also have been influenced by people off setting gains by selling a current loser. (Something I considered, but happily, I chose to hold.) AMCX jumped 7.98% on the first day of trading in January and is up 17.94% so far this month. The stock has a short interest over 20% and the share price has been rising before the options expiration date and falling back down after. This seems like a very high short interest for a stock making money like this.
I don't think so. The Bally's TV networks are owned by Diamond Sports Group which is a subsidiary of Sinclair (SBGI)
Some industries will have low P/E ratios and it makes sense why they do. For example, Central Pet and Garden ($CENT) has a P/E of 16.5 (ripping it off of QuickFS). I'd call that low relative to today's market. GM has an even lower P/E at 9.50. If a company's growth prospects are low it'll show up in P/E because they won't have many places to put extra cash into. $SBGI is usually like this. It's one of the biggest broadcasters in the U.S and can trade at a P/E of maybe 4x or 5x earnings. Why? Because within P/E are two assumptions that make P/E very sensitive to minute changes: ROIIC and growth. If any one of those changes slightly P/E can tank. If any one of them go up then P/E can skyrocket. You'll have to figure out if ROIIC or growth (or both) have changed for the company. Some companies with low P/Es have no growth prospects or can't reinvest ROIIC into anything better (either because they have few reinvestment options or because they're led by idiots that can't move money around). A low P/E company may deserve a low valuation. The market isn't efficient but it isn't clueless.
Bought some SBGI, why would it drop this low?
