Analysis of Float Illiquidity: The Case of Getty Images ($GETY)
$SSTK Shutterstock - OpenAI ChatGBT partnership - Images, Photos, & Videos
$SSTK up 10% on good earnings and a new partnership.
Why the hell no love for $SSTK on WSB? Anyone listen to that last earnings call? They're gonna announce a div increase next report, and committed to DCA buying back their own stock every month... You guys see the cash flow? You know they have an elite ROCE rating for their reinvestments too?

Out of $SSTK for now; I wasn't feeling it.
Alright, I gave you all an oversold earnings over-reaction with $WU; now I'm loading into $SSTK 🤙
When will SSTK stop free-falling? Please buy SSTK and pump it for me. Thanks :)
You’ve got some work to do on your research man. Final decision deadline is April 19. The March deadline is for the companies to respond to the regulators. And GETY is the acquirer, not the target. SSTK is the target. Still a good play though.
Yes. In USD. For me I think it was more some really lucky choices I made than skill. This year: COST up 23%, HDSN up 40%, DAKT up 50%, SSTK up 43%. Losers were down to -23%.
Someone sell me $SSTK $30 calls expiring 2/20/26. Looking to be in at .70
Honestly SSTK looks good heading into earnings they have just launched AI services for model training and that basically transforms them into a largest image training data provider. They are also trying to merge with Getty images and monopolize the images market. They are profitable and pay dividends and trade at a low PE. Def a long term hold.
Based on recent reporting, Bank of America flagged the following companies as being at high risk of disruption from artificial intelligence: * [Wix.com](http://Wix.com) (WIX) * Shutterstock (SSTK) * Adobe (ADBE) * ManpowerGroup (MAN) * Robert Half (RHI) * Gartner (IT) * Omnicom (OMC) * WPP (WPP) Other sources mention these as examples from the list, but the complete set of 26 companies identified by BofA has not been made fully public online, as most outlets only reference a partial basket and cite Bloomberg's coverage and financial analytics platforms with access limitations. These companies broadly represent firms in sectors such as digital creative services, staffing, research, and advertising—industries where AI-driven automation could rapidly replace human labor or upend traditional business models.
Go after stock image companies... GETY SSTK ...ChatGPT
Nice, what peaked my interest was that they have a new vp of sales who was at SSTK for 10+ years. please buy shares and drive up price.
SSTK- licensing original content for AI machine learning
I love when SSTK climbs all day just to dump all gains overnight.
SSTK and TOST calls expiring after earnings
SSTK. Earnings about a month out, got a nice catalyst today with the announcement that they are partnering with NVIDIA on their AI image generator. Down 60% from ATH. I just have 1 60C for 5/17 but might buy more calls hoping for a run up into earnings. I didn’t expect the NVIDIA catalyst though and was going to wait another week.
Would love to see SSTK do a nice, steady run up into earnings. Feeling like it’s a decent low-key AI play that hasn’t run its course yet.
Shutterstock 100%. They are licensing and selling their massive datasets of images and videos to all these AI machines whether it be openAI, google, or adobe. These AI machines need to learn from somewhere and you need data to learn from. SSTK provides that. Why mine for gold when you can sell the shovels?
Time to build shorts on SSTK!
Lol AI image generation isn’t there yet. It makes everything look all “glowy.” And even then, SSTK has already began capitalizing on AI.
My turn: SSTK is insanely undervalued from a potential and financial standpoint
I agree it will be all about data so all the online platforms are winners. I think even unconventional companies with large datasets could benefit. So V, MA, AMEX, but also potentially SSTK (catalogue of half a billion), PL (only company with 10+ years of global satellite imagery), financial data providers (SPGI, LSEG,
Why would anyone pay up for GETY instead of SSTK? Worse earnings, more misses on guidance, no dividend, further behind on AI offerings…. I get why people would rather pay up for Adobe than either of the two stock footage companies. But other than expecting a short squeeze, activist investor takeover of the board, or being bought by a larger company… I can’t see why people would buy GETY. Having said all that, IBM could probably acquire GETY or SSTK with just a single quarter of their free cash flow. Either of them could help with IBM’s AI offerings to SMB’s. I think SSTK is profitable enough that they would probably be immediately accretive to IBM. Hell, in another couple quarters they could follow it up with acquiring VMEO, which also might be immediately accretive.
$SSTK (Shutterstock)- recently acquired GIPHY for a bargain from antitrust from META. Is on the road with AI for their imaging. Their financials look fucking fantastic with constant EPS beats quarter after quarter. These guys were even making money during the pandemic. I’m adding more tomorrow.
SSTK: been absolutely pummeled while have good financial tables. Consistent growing revenues. A bargain acquisition in shutterstock. Proactively paying down any debt- good management. Leveraging new databases for AI video and images which is fantastic- will really hit the whole “AI” thing- And a future marketing spend coming up to get more notoriety. Sounds good to me!
Making a play on SSTK earnings, share price up ~18.5% today, holding 15 long puts, two separate strikes for December exp.
6 day old account that only tweets about SSTK?
Got quite a mixed bag rn BUD and TGT puts SSTK, MRVL, TSLA calls
How do y’all feel about SSTK
Shutterstock just bought Giphy from Meta for 53M, Meta bought it 3 years ago for 400M (now a 347M loss). Just bought a dozen SSTK calls
Bought some Jan 2014 $5 GETY Puts today on that non-binding buyout offer. I think Trillium Capital are full of hot air and lack the financial resources to close the offer. GETY is a garbage company that has seen EBITDA and Free Cash Flow steadily erode since going public. It's a pretty massive concern for a company with around 1.4B in debt to see FCF decline from $46.8M in Q4 2021 to just $20.6M in Q4 2022. Heavily leveraged companies like this with little to no revenue growth and declining profitability can see share price drop VERY quickly regardless of the nominally large topline revenue number (HLLY is a good example of this). To put things in perspective Shutterstock (SSTK) has far superior growth in both sales and EBITDA yet still trades at a discount to GETY by most financial metrics. Comps below are based on GETY at $6.60 per share. In my opinion GETY should trade at a similar EV to SSTK, which would value GETY around $2.50 per share. ||GETY|SSTK| |:-|:-|:-| |Market Cap|$2.6B|$2.4B| |Net Cash|\-$1.37B|$0.03B| |Enterprise Value|$3.97B|$2.37B| |2022 Revenue|$926M|$828M| |Revenue CAGR (2018-2022)|3.3%|7.3%| |EV / 2022 Revenue|4.3|2.9| |2022 EBITDA|$304M|$218M| |EBITDA CAGR (2018-2022)|9.5%|20%| |EV / 2022 EBITDA|13|11| |EV / 2022 FCF|38|24| |Q4 2022 FCF Change YoY|\-56%|\-3%| |Q4 2022 EBITDA Change YoY|\-9%|49%| |Q4 2022 Revenue Change YoY|\-3%|6%|
Thoughts on SSTK after the GETY buyout news? Always thought Shutterstock was better since they copywriter music as well as images.
SSTK
SPY forming a bull flag structure now, and still consolidating. That is a good sign. It has reclaimed the rising 10ma, so there is a chance it could break out this week, but the more likely scenario is we pull back to the rising 20ma to form a full flag. I'm expecting a couple more red days at least and then a bounce off the 20, which will be a great entry for some breakout longs. [SPY Chart](https://i.imgur.com/4sbSJ7D.png) Because SPY is setting up there are lots of individual stocks setting up as well. A lot of names look ready to make a big bullish move soon, but some more time is likely needed. Sector focus will be important here. Standout sectors: Financials, Semiconductors, AI Financial and lending names setting up: WRLD, TREE, NU AI setups: CRNC. More aggressive chart than some of the bigger names in this space. Some other flags forming: TBLA, EGHT, SSTK, RPD. Again, some of these need time and are not great setups just yet. Just some names to keep an eye on.
SSTK timeless product. Creative licensing.
Thoughts about SSTK (Shutterstock) earnings for tomorrow morning?
>At one point I had 1.5 SSTK shares, sold most of it after a while. At the time when he wrote the comment it was a $70 stock, the fuck lol
