Insider trading rules vary a lot but typically the crux is just having privileged, nonpublic information. Membership is immaterial really in comparison. So if a CEO's daughter buys a ton of the company's shares based on dad's hints, then the company drops an above-par quarterly report, that's still insider trading even though she's not a member of the company. On the flip side of the coin, if a Target cashier uses his off day to sit outside local stores and trades TGT based on how busy the front door is compared to competitors, that's not insider trading even though he is an employee. What Elon is doing is closer to a pump and dump scheme with a possible accomplice. However while we all know what's going on here, and the intention, this is probably not criminal without evidence of a conspiracy to manipulate the price. If you look at Elon's actual tweet it's just a shitty meme. He does not rise to the level of giving a "false recommendation" in a provable way. It's really a matter of fools following along speculatively.

I have made the mistake of transferring a token called TGT into AEX and to make a long story short, I was never able to take it out. You can see below that withdrawals are grayed out. I contacted customer support via chat on the website and was told to be patient. I twitter contacted them and they referred me back to customer service. I contacted the telegram channel support and was told to wait.
